1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Musicom Lab EFX LITE 62M Audio Controller.
The EFX LITE 62M Audio Controller is the ultimate floor-based switching system.
It is a compact, easy to use, has 6 fully programmable loops, 2 function switches and a MIDI foot controller.
The EFX LITE 62M Audio Controller has 248 memory locations, configured as 62 banks of 4 presets, plus a
global preset. It can transmit 6 MIDI Program Change messages on 6 MIDI channels and 16 MIDI Control
Change messages on an appointed MIDI channel.
Also one continuous controller port(XPDL) is included and can be programmed with a designated MIDI channel
and controller number.
The EFX LITE 62M Audio Controller has a low-noise, high quality buffer to prevent the loss of guitar signal.
The input buffer can be bypassed for Hi-Z input pedals such as Fuzzes etc.

2. Fundamentals
The EFX LITE 62M has three different operating modes, plus Instant Access Mode and Edit Mode.
The operating modes are Preset(PRST), Song(SONG) and Set(SET1-SET9)
2.1 Preset Mode
The Preset Operating Mode allows the EFX LITE 62M to behave like a standard footcontroller with bank(62) of
preset(4) plus a Global Preset.

and 2 - a to d indicate a bank number.
- e to p indicate the preset title.
- e indicates the preset (1 to 4) within the bank.
- g to n indicate the on/off status of loops and function switches.
- p indicates the preset mode.
ྙG Press/hold the 2ND switch for 1 second. The LEDs above the 3 and 4 switches and the bank number on
the display will start flashing.
ྚG Press the 3(BANK DOWN) or 4(BANK UP) switches to scroll through the 62 available banks.
ྛG Press the 2ND switch. The LEDs above the 3 and 4 switches will stop flashing.
ྜG The preset is selected via pressing any switches from 1 through 4. The bank number will stop flashing and
the LED above the switch turn on.
NOTE : If you want to select the preset 1 or 2, skip the procedure ྛ~ྜG and press the 1 or 2 switch.
The global preset is a preset with all the capabilities of preset 1 through 4, but is the same for all banks.
Pressing the switch of a preset that is already on selects the global preset and will cause the LED above the
switch to turn off.

- e indicates the preset (1 to 5) within the bank or song.
- g to n indicate the on/off status of loops and function switches.
- p indicates the instant access page (1 to 4 with underscore).
ྙG Select the preset to be programmed in the Preset, Song or Set Mode.
ྚG Press the 2ND switch to enter the Instant Access Mode.
The 4 LEDs above the 1 ~ 4 switches will indicate the corresponding Loop1 ~ Loop4 as on or off.
ྛG Press the 1 through 4 switches to turn the corresponding Loop1 ~ Loop4 on or off.
The corresponding LEDs will go on or off.
ྜG Press the 2ND switch.
The 4 LEDs above the 1 ~ 4 switches will indicate the corresponding Loop5, Loop6, Function Switch7 and
Function Switch8 as on or off.
ྜྷG Press the 1 through 4 switches to turn the corresponding Loop5, Loop6, Function Switch7 and Function
Switch8 on or off. The corresponding LEDs will go on or off.
ྞG Press the 2ND switch.
The 4 LEDs above the 1 ~ 4 switches will indicate the corresponding CC.A ~ CC.D as on or off.
ྟG Press the 1 through 4 switches to turn the corresponding CC.A ~ CC.D on or off.
The corresponding LEDs will go on or off.
ྠG Press the 2ND switch.
The 4 LEDs above the 1 ~ 4 switches will indicate the corresponding CC.E ~ CC.H as on or off.
ྡG Press the 1 through 4 switches to turn the corresponding CC.E ~ CC.H on or off.
The corresponding LEDs will go on or off.
ྡྷG Press & hold the 2ND switch for 1 second to store the edit and return to Preset, Song or Set Mode. For
the other side, press & hold the 2ND switch and quickly press the 1 switch to return to Preset, Song or Set
Mode without storing the edit.
ˍG G Max IA Page can be used to prevent access higher-numbered IA pages. Refer to the Maximum Instant
Access Page on the page 29.
Mute
Press & hold the switch of a preset that is already on, for 1 second. The audio signal will be muted.
Press the any preset switch to cancel the mute function. The mute function is not available on the global
preset.

2.2 Song Mode
The Song Operating Mode allows access to the EFX LITE 62M's 99 songs. Songs are basically a custom bank
of the EFX LITE 62M's regular (banked) presets, arranged so that all the presets necessary during the
performance of a song are available in one bank (conveniently called a song).
Refer to the 8.1 Operating Mode on the page 28 to select the EFX LITE 62M's Song Mode.

2.3 Set Mode
The SET0 - SET9 Operating Mode allows up to 32 of the EFX LITE 62M's 99 songs to be arranged in any
order to create a set. The EFX LITE 62M can support 9 different sets.
Refer to the 8.1 Operating Mode on the page 28 to select the EFX LITE 62M's Set Mode.

4.1 Global Setting
The Global Setting Menu allows defining global parameters such as ; the MIDI channel that the EFX LITE 62M
will respond to incoming MIDI messages on, the MIDI program/control change channel and control number/value
that the EFX LITE 62M will transmit, and expression pedal port control change setting.

4.1.1 MIDI OUT/THRU
The MIDI OUT/THRU connector of the EFX LITE 6M functions as a MIDI OUT or MIDI THRU.
When MIDI OUT operation is selected, MIDI data in the EFX LITE 62M are transmitted via the MIDI OUT
connector. When MIDI THRU operation is selected, received MIDI data via the MIDI IN connector is
retransmitted via the MIDI OUT connector. In this case, MIDI data in the EFX LITE 62M are not transmitted.

4.1.2 Receive MIDI Channel
The EFX LITE 62M can receive the MIDI program change message. The receive MIDI channel can be set to
any individual channel from 1 to through 16, or reception can be turned off.

4.1.3 MIDI Program Change Channel
The EFX LITE 62M can transmit 6 MIDI program change messages (PC1 to PC6). Six MIDI program change
messages are transmitted when an EFX LITE 62M preset is recalled to aid in selecting the desired preset on a
external MIDI device. This menu allows for the assignment of MIDI program change channels.

The EFX LITE 62M can transmit up to 16 MIDI control change messages (CC.1 to CC.8 and CC.A to CC.H).
This menu allows for the assignment of MIDI control changes.

This menu allows assigning the global setting(MIDI control change channel, number, maximum value and
minimum value) for the expression pedal port.

4.2.1 MIDI Program Change Number
The EFX LITE 62M can transmit 6 MIDI program change messages (PC.1 to PC.6). Six MIDI program change
messages are transmitted when an EFX LITE 62M preset is recalled to aid in selecting the desired preset on a
external MIDI device. This sub-menu allows for the assignment of MIDI program change numbers.

4.2.2 XPDL Preset Setting
The expression pedal port can be set to use its global setting or preset setting specific setting for MIDI control
change channel, number, maximum, minimum and beginning values.

The Copy Menu allows copying presets, banks, songs and sets from one location to another.

The menu allows for a single preset to be copied from on preset location to another.

8.2 Click-Less
The EFX LITE 62M is based on relay switching. This method is utilized to route the audio signal with absolutely
no tone coloration or degradation. The disadvantage of relays is that they can produce a slight click noise when
they switch on/off. To eliminate this click noise, the EFX LITE 62M will disable the OUT from loop 4 for a very
short time while the loops are switching. The Click-Less function is excellent for eliminating this click noise.
The menu allows determining the Click-Less function.

8.3 Maximum Instant Access Page
This menu blocks to access to IA pages numbered above the Max IA Page. When set '2', this unit will transmit
up to 8 MIDI control change messages (CC.1 to CC.8). When set '3', this unit will transmit up to 12 MIDI
control change messages (CC.1 to CC.8 and CC.A to CC.D). When set '4', this unit will transmit up to 16 MIDI
control change messages (CC.1 to CC.8 and CC.A to CC.H).

8.4 Switch Type (Latched/Momentary)
The F7 and F8 Operate as mechanical latched or momentary type switches for switching of amplifier channels
or on/off control of reverb, etc.
Also the Loop 5 and Loop 6 will be able to act as the F7 and F8. Normally open and normally closed
operation are selected by plugging into either the OUT5/6 jacks(for normally open), or the SND5/6 jacks(for
normally closed).
The menu allows for the selection of the Latched/Momentary type.
ˍG G Line 2 - a and b indicate a loop (L5, L6) or function switch (F7, F8) that is going to be edited.

9. Cables
9.1 External BANK UP/DOWN Switches
The Bank UP and DOWN can be controlled by the Momentary & Normally Open type switches connected to
the BANK jack. The cable required is a stereo (TRS) plugs. The BANK UP switch is connected to tip and
sleeve. The BANK DOWN switch is connected to ring and sleeve.
In the Instant Access Mode, the BANK UP switch stores the edit and exit from Instant Access Mode. For the
other side, the BANK DOWN switch exits from Instant Access Mode without storing the edit.
9.2 XPDL
XPDL & Volume Pedal
The cable required is a stereo (TRS) to two mono 1/4" phone plugs. Connect the tip(stereo plug) to the pedal
input, ring to the pedal output and sleeve to ground on all 3 plugs.
XPDL & Expression Pedal
The cable required is a stereo (TRS) to a stereo (TRS) 1/4" phone plugs.
