Instructions for use
To operate the iLOQ cylinder, insert the iLOQ Key entirely into the keyway and turn the key. If the
cylinder does not open, remove the key and re-insert it into the cylinder again, this time more
slowly.
The electric energy is harvested for operations when the key is inserted into the cylinder. If the
movement is too fast, the cylinder is kept in the locked state. Do not use excess force when
inserting the key into the cylinder.
Maintenance
The contact wire on the metal part of the key must be clean and smooth. If the contact wire is
dirty, wipe it clean using a soft tissue. Replace the key if the contact wire is damaged.
Do not use the iLOQ key for other purposes except those mentioned in these Instructions. Using
the iLOQ key for other purposes may damage the key. Do not insert any other item than iLOQ
Key into the iLOQ Cylinder.
The key is to be kept securely so that only authorized person may have access. In case of losing
the Key, blacklisting of the lost Key shall be done with the iLOQ S10 Manager software and the
affected locks shall be reprogrammed.

Changing the colored cap
The colored cap can be changed. Remove the cap by turning it 45 degrees counter clockwise
with a thumb or with a sharp tool. Lift off the cap and place a new cap in its place. Lock it up by
turning the cap 45 degrees clockwise.
Attention. Gray colored cap is not removable.
