Integrated Blower/Battery User Manual Donning Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Quick Loc Belt Filters TM Sentinel XL HP Clear Hood Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) System 1 Charge Battery Pack 4 A A A. Plug battery charger into socket at back of the battery pack and connect to an electrical outlet. Charge battery pack for approximately five hours before use. The battery charger LED will flash green when charging is complete. 2 Prepare Filters for Use A Breathing Hose Check Air Flow B A. Ensure canisters are installed on the blower. Switch blower on. A short beep should sound. Place flow meter in the blower’s hose connector. B. If the upper portion of the black cone is above the indication line on the flow meter, the system is ready for use 5 A Attach Breathing Hose B Hood Battery Charger Flow Meter 7 Donning Hood A B C D A. Open Clear Hood opening. B. Place over head. C. Tuck inner skirts under Tyvek suit. Zip Tyvek suit closed. D. Smooth outer skirt in place. Peel back tabs at the inner base of the skirt (2 on front, 2 on back) and press adhesive to the Tyvek Suit. Note: Refer to Owners’ Manual for detailed instructions. Filters Replacement A. Remove sealed cap from filters. 3 Turn Blower ON A A. Screw female hose connector of breathing hose to male connector on blower. Hand tighten. B. Screw other end of breathing hose to connector on male connector on head cover. Hand tighten. 6 A Donning Blower Unit A A. After Decon, turn filters counterclockwise. Unscrew filters and discard. Before installing new filter check gasket for any damage. B Waist Belt Removal A A. Depress switch on top of blower. A short beep should sound and light the red LED continuously. Turn on blower and place waist belt with blower attached around waist. B. Snap buckle closed. Adjust waist belt by pulling belt outward until snug. TM Donning Sentinel XL HP PAPR System B A.
