Point-of-View Video Equipment
All Video Equipment is Rentable to: UW- Stout Students ONLY
Limited to 1 Video unit per Student ID
Rental Period and Agreement: Video units and included accessories may only be rented out for a maximum of 1 week
unless approved beforehand by the S.A. Coordinator. Late fees will be charged for units and accessories not returned by
stated date and time. Any package or accessory returned late will result in a charge of $15.00 per day.
Batteries: Batteries for all video units will not be provided.
Theft: With all video units theft is a major concern especially when left in a visible location. Please take the necessary
precautions to secure both the unit and accessories to increase safety.
Loss or Damage: Student agrees to bear all risk of loss, theft, damage to, or destruction of the video unit and accessories
during the entire rental period and prior to successful return of the unit and accessories to Stout Adventures. All loss or
damage requiring repair shall be paid for by the student and is limited to the full replacement value of the video unit and
accessories. All repairable, damaged equipment must be repaired solely by way of Stout Adventures. Student agrees to
bear all expense incurred by Stout Adventures in the course of repair to the unit. Student agrees to bear the replacement
cost of damaged or missing video unit and accessories.
Indemnity: Student will hold Stout Adventures harmless from and against all claims, loss, liability for any direct, special
or consequential damages as a result of student’s use, custody, control, possession, and operation of the video unit and
accessories.
Warranty of Condition: Stout Adventures guarantees video equipment and accessories to be in good working order when
rented. By signing below student agrees that the equipment is in good working order, condition and appearance. Any
aspects of the video unit and accessories that the student deems unacceptable must be immediately reported to Stout
Adventures in writing, or damage charges will accrue.
Use Guidelines & Care: Equipment components are shock-resistant, water-resistant and dustproof for use in the most
hazardous environments, however it is of the upmost importance to use extreme care when handling the equipment.
Please follow these guidelines when using the video equipment:
• Store your equipment in a cool, dry place.
• Clean and dry the equipment after every use.
• The equipment may be submerged in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes at a time. If the unit will be used in
a wet environment make sure that all ports and connections are completely sealed. In addition, if you plan on
submerging the unit you must use the waterproof case. Finally, it is important to rinse the device with freshwater
after use in a saltwater or chlorinated environment.
• A philips head screw driver will be needed to make adjustments to camera mounts. In addition, zip ties and
Velcro strips may be helpful, but are not included.
• Please delete all data from units before returning them.
