• Whenusingtheironforthefirsttime,testitonapieceofoldclothtobesurethatthesoleplateandthewater
reservoirareclean.
• Itispossiblethattheironwilldischargesomesmokeorgiveoffaslightodorduringitsfirstusage.Thisisdueto
theinitialheatingofthematerialsused.Thisiscompletelynormalandwillstopshortlyafterwards.
• Whennotironing,alwayshavethesteamselectswitchturnedtotheclosedposition.

Setthesteamironinanuprightpositionandinserttheplugintothewallelectricaloutlet.
1.TheblueLEDtemperaturedisplaywillturnonanditwillremainonforaslongastheironispluggedin.
2.Selectthedesiredtemperatureusingthedigitaltemperaturecontrolupanddownbuttons.
3.TheblueLEDtemperaturedisplaylightwillindicatetheselectedtemperaturesettingandwillstaysolidon.Once
theironreachestheselectedtemperaturethelightatthetemperaturedisplaywillstartblinking.Thelightwill
gofromsolidontoblinkingandbacktosolidonfromtimetotimewhileyouareironingsincethethermostat
automaticallymaintainsthesoleplateatthesametemperature.
Anotherimportantfeatureofyoursteamironisthe360ºswivelcord,whichpreventstanglingandallowsforeasyuse
bybothrightandlefthandedpeople.
DRY IRONING
1.Inserttheplugintheelectricalwalloutlet.
2.Makesurethesteamselectswitchisintheclosedposition.
3.Selectthedigitaltemperatureupanddownbuttons.
4.Followinstructionsfromsection“UsingYourAppliance”.
5.Startdryironing.
STEAM IRONING
Choosing the Right Water
Thissteamironmaybeusedwithnormaltapwater.However,ifthewateroftheregioninwhichyouliveisespecially
hard,itisrecommendedtousedistilledwatertoprolongthelifeofyouriron.
Donotusewaterthathasbeendesalinatedwithchemicals.
Filling with Water
1.Turnofftheironanddisconnecttheplugfromtheelectricalwalloutletbeforefillingthe
ironwithwater.

3.Setironinthepositionindicatedbelow(figure2)andfillitwithwater,nohigherthanthe
Maxfilllevelshownonsee-throughwaterwindow.
Steaming
Steamironingisonlypossibleathightemperatures(“ ”,“ ”),asindicatedon
LEDtemperaturedisplay.

Setthesteamselectswitchtothedesiredsteamlevelposition(figure3).Youarenow
readytostartsteamironing.Thesteamwillbereleasedevenlythroughventslocated
inthesoleplateforeasierironing.
SPRAY MISTTM
ThespraymistTMfeatureisapowerfulwaterspraymistthatdampensthefabrictohelpremovewrinklesfromheavy
fabricsandtosetcreases.
PressthespraymistTMbuttonfirmlytostartthespray.
DUAL SHOT OF STEAM
Thisfeatureallowsyoutouseshotofsteamwhileironinghorizontallyorvertically,asthenexttwosectionsdescribe.
SHOT OF STEAM®
Theshotofsteam®featureprovidesanextraburstofsteamfordeeppenetrationofstubbornwrinkles.Theshot
ofsteam®featurecanbeusedwithdryorsteamironingprovidedithasatleasta1/4tankofwaterandthe
temperaturecontroldialissetwithinthesteamband.
1.Allowtheirontoheatforapproximatelytwominutes.
2.Presstheshotofsteam®buttonseveraltimestoprimethepump.
3.Presstheshotofsteam®buttonanotherthreetofourtimesinordertocleantheunit.
4.Theshotofsteam®featureisnowreadyforuse.Theshotofsteam®featurecanbeusedcontinuouslywithjusta
shortpausebetweenshots.TheshotofsteamfeatureismosteffectivewiththeIronheldinahorizontalposition
justabovethefabricbeingironed.
5.Ifwaterreservoirrunsdry,unplugironandrefillwithwater.Ironmaybefilledwithwaterwhilehot.
NOTE:Itmaybenecessarytore-primepumpbeforeusingshotofsteam®featureagain.
VERTICAL SHOT OF STEAM
Verticalshotsteamfeatureallowsyourirontofunctionasagarmentsteamer.
TIP:Whenusingverticalshotofsteamonclothing,hangclothingonaclotheshangerforbestresults.Hanging
curtainsanddrapesmayalsobesteamed.
How to use Vertical Steam:
1.Allowirontowarmup(2minutes).
2.Holdironinaverticalposition,withironclosetobutnottouchingfabricyouwanttosteam.
3.Withyourotherhand,pullfabrictight.
4.Pressshotofsteambuttoninapproximately3-secondintervalsasyoumoveironacrosswrinkledarea.
WARNING:Topreventriskofburns,keepyourhandawayfromareabeingsteamed.
WARNING:DONOTsteamgarmentswhilewearingthem;thismayresultininjuries.
IRONING TEMPERATURE
Checkironinginstructionsonlabelofitemthatyouwishtoiron.Checktemperaturesettingstableforfurther
instructions.
Shouldspecificironinginstructionsnotappearonlabel,followinstructionsontemperaturesettingstable.Thistable
isonlyvalidforfabricsindicatedanddoesnotapplytospecialtextileswithaglossfinish,etc.Textileswithspecial
coatings(suchasgloss,reliefwrinkles,etc.)arebestironedatverylowtemperatures.Iftextileconsistsofseveral
differenttypesoffibers,alwaysselectlowesttemperature,i.e.temperaturerecommendedformostdelicatefiberin
composition(forexample,ifcompositionconsistsof60%polyesterand40%cotton,youshouldironattemperature
indicatedforpolyester).
SETTING TEMPERATURE
1.Setironinanuprightposition.
2.Connectirontoanelectricalwallsocket.
3.Settemperaturecontrolupanddownbuttonstothecorrectironingtemperatureasindicatedonlabelor
temperaturesettingstable.

IONIC TOURMALINE NON-STICK FINISH
• Tourmalinetechnologyinfusesthesoleplatewithsemi-preciousstones,whichproduceextranegativeionsfor
betterresultsandprotectiontothefabricsfromheatdamage.
• Thenon-stickTourmalinecoatingpreventsfabricsandstarchresiduefromstickingtosoleplate.
• Provideshighglideabilityforquickandeasyironingwithsuperiorsoleplateresistance.
ANTI-CALC
Anti-calcfeaturehelpspreventbuildupofmineraldepositsinyouriron.Thisprolongsitslifeandimprovesiron’s
performance.
ANTI-DRIP
Producessteamwithoutdripping,spitting,orleakingthroughsoleplate,evenatlowtemperatures.
3 WAY AUTO-OFF FEATURE
Whenironispluggedin,thestandbyindicatorwilllightsteadily,indicatingthatthereispowerto
theiron.
30 SECONDS
If You Leave Iron:
Inahorizontalpositionwithoutmovingit,oraccidentallytipironover,itwillautomaticallystop
heatingafter30seconds(+/-5seconds).Thestandbyindicatorlightwillstartblinking.
30 SECONDS
Inaverticalposition(onitsheelrest)withoutmovingit,ironwillautomaticallygointostandby
modeafter15minutes(+/-1minute).Thestandbyindicatorlightwillstartblinking.
Ifsomeonemovesiron,itwillresetandstartheatingupagaintobeused.
IMPORTANT:Indicatorlightwillcontinuetoblinkuntilunpluggedorreset.
To reset iron:
15 MINUTES
Moveironbackandforthandallowittoreheatfor2minutes.Indicatorwillstopblinkingandstaysolidonandiron
willstartheatingagain.
WARNING:The3wayauto-offisasafetyfeature,notarecommendedmeansforturningyourironoff.

cleAning
Beforecleaningtheiron,alwaysmakesurethatitisdisconnectedfromelectricalwallsocketandiscompletelycool.
SOLEPLATE
• Residueonsoleplatecanbewipedoffwithaclothsoakedinasolutionofwaterandvinegar.
• Donotusescouringpads,abrasivesorchemicalcleaningsolventsastheymaydamagefinish.
HOUSING
• Housingcanbecleanedwithamoistclothandthenwipeddry.
• Otherthantherecommendedcleaning,nofurtherusermaintenanceshouldbenecessary.Ifforanyreasonyour
steamironshouldrequirerepairs,donottrytofixityourself.TakeittonearestAuthorizedSunbeam®Service
Center.
SELF-CLEANING FEATURE
Youshouldusetheself-cleaningfeaturetomaintainoptimalperformanceofyouriron.Self-cleaningfeaturewillclean
waterreservoirandsteamventsofaccumulatedminerals,dustandlint.
1.Movesteamcontrolbackandforthseveraltimestoremovedebrisandmineralsfromsteamvalve.Thiskeeps
waterflowingintosteamchamber.
2.Fillwaterreservoirwithtapwaterto“MAX”line.
3.Pluginironandmovetemperaturecontrolupanddownbuttonstothe“ ”position,andallowirontoheat
fortwominutes.
4.Unplugiron.
5.Holdironoverasinkinahorizontalposition.
WARNING:Becarefulnottotouchiron’shotsurfaces.
6.Presstheself-cleanbuttonandhold.Waterwillbegindrippingfromsteamvents.Slowlyrockironside-to-side
andfronttobackfor30seconds.Whenrockingiron,dipnoseofironslightlybelowreartomakecertainwater
circulatescompletely.
7.Turnironupsidedownandallowremainingwatertoflowoutofthefillhole.
8.Drythesoleplatewithatowel.
9.Pluginironandturntemperaturecontrolupanddownbuttonstothe“ ”position.Letironheatfortwo
minutesanddryoutironcompletely.
10.Turntemperaturecontrolupanddownbuttonstooff“Apagado”position.Thelightwillgoout,indicatingthatthe
ironhasturneditselfoff.Unplugironandallowittocoolbeforestoring.
storing Your AppliAnce
1.Turnoffironanddisconnectplugfromwallelectricaloutlet.
2.Setironinanuprightpositionandletitcooldowncompletely.
3.Setsteamselectswitchtoclosedposition.
4.Emptyoutallwaterremaininginwaterreservoirbyopeningitslidandinvertingironoversink.
5.Powercordcanbewoundaroundheelrestforeasierandtidystoringonceunithascooleddown.Ironshould
alwaysbestoredinanuprightposition.
3 Year Limited Warranty and Lifetime Limited Soleplate Warranty
SunbeamProducts,Inc.doingbusinessasJardenConsumerSolutionsorifinCanada,SunbeamCorporation
(Canada)LimiteddoingbusinessasJardenConsumerSolutions(collectively“JCS”)warrantsthatforaperiodof
threeyearsfromthedateofinitialretailpurchase,thisproductwillbefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanship.
JCSwarrantstheiron’ssoleplatewillbefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipforthelifeoftheironfrom
thedateofinitialretailpurchase.
JCS,atitsoption,willrepairorreplacethisproductoranycomponentoftheproductfoundtobedefectiveduringthe
warrantyperiod.Replacementwillbemadewithaneworremanufacturedproductorcomponent.Iftheproductisno
longeravailable,replacementmaybemadewithasimilarproductofequalorgreatervalue.Thisisyourexclusive
warranty.DoNOTattempttorepairoradjustanyelectricalormechanicalfunctionsonthisproduct.Doingsowill
voidthiswarranty.
Thiswarrantyisvalidfortheoriginalretailpurchaserfromthedateofinitialretailpurchaseandisnottransferable.
Keeptheoriginalsalesreceipt.Proofofpurchaseisrequiredtoobtainwarrantyperformance.JCSdealers,service
centers,orretailstoressellingJCSproductsdonothavetherighttoalter,modifyoranywaychangethetermsand
conditionsofthiswarranty.
Thiswarrantydoesnotcovernormalwearofpartsordamageresultingfromanyofthefollowing:negligentuseor
misuseoftheproduct,commercialuse,accident,useonimpropervoltageorcurrent,usecontrarytotheoperating
instructions,disassembly,repairoralterationbyanyoneotherthanJCSoranauthorizedJCSservicecenter.
Further,thewarrantydoesnotcover:ActsofGod,suchasfire,flood,hurricanesandtornadoes.Soleplatewarranty
doesnotcoverscratchesordiscolorationofthesoleplatefinishandonlyappliesaslongastheirongenerates
optimalheat.
What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?
JCSshallnotbeliableforanyincidentalorconsequentialdamagescausedbythebreachofanyexpress,impliedor
statutorywarrantyorcondition.
Excepttotheextentprohibitedbyapplicablelaw,anyimpliedwarrantyorconditionofmerchantabilityorfitnessfora
particularpurposeislimitedindurationtothedurationoftheabovewarranty.
JCSdisclaimsallotherwarranties,conditionsorrepresentations,express,implied,statutoryorotherwise.
JCSshallnotbeliableforanydamagesofanykindresultingfromthepurchase,useormisuseof,orinabilitytouse
theproductincludingincidental,special,consequentialorsimilardamagesorlossofprofits,orforanybreachof
contract,fundamentalorotherwise,orforanyclaimbroughtagainstpurchaserbyanyotherparty.
Someprovinces,statesorjurisdictionsdonotallowtheexclusionorlimitationofincidentalorconsequentialdamagesor
