Assemble the concrete wash out as per drawing taking care that hoses are either on a constant incline or
decline to avoid blockages.

Make sure the pumps is suspended above the settled fines and make sure that the float switch can
freely drop, so that the suction of the pump can never see the surface of the water. This then acts as an
interceptor for any floating oil. If you do see signs of floating oil, then place an oil boom to adsorb any
floating oil.
You can now washout in the marked chamber.

When the pump is running make a visual inspection of the Hydrocyclone and make sure
the underflow is spraying.
When the 1st Skip is more than half full of solids, then drain as much water as possible
with the two inch pump via the Hydrocyclone.
Then remove the pump and Hydrocyclone and empty the solids out to the chosen disposal route.
Reassemble the pump and Hydrocyclone as per schematics.
Treated water may be used for washing the chamber of the lorry.
