Installation
RemoveyourBuffaloBistroContactGrillfromitspackagingandbecertainthatallprotectiveplasticsand
residuesarethoroughlycleanedfromitssurface.
Locateonafirmlevelsurface;usetheadjustablefeettoleveltheGrill.
Buffalo recommendedthatyouallownolessthan100mmventilatedgaparoundtheperimeterofthisunit.
Ensurethatthestainlesssteelwastetrayiscorrectlypositioned.
Connecttotheelectricitysupplyusingtheplug,theGrillisnowreadytoturnonandoperate.

Preparing the cooking surface-makesurethecookingsurfaceisclean,turntheunitonandapplya
generousamountofoiltotheplates.Usingthethermostatcontrol,settheGrillto110˚C,whentheGrill
hasreachedtemperature,switchoffandcarefullywipeanyexcessoilfromtheplates.
Operation
TheContactGrillshouldbeturnedonatleast5minutesbeforeuse
Togetefficientuseoutofthisunitwhileinintermittentuse,itisrecommendedthattheGrillplatesremain
closedandthethermostatturneddown,whennotcooking.Thiswillassistinreducingpowerconsumption
andalsoallowforquickerheatresponsewhenneeded.
Buffalorecommendsthatthecookingsurfaceislightlygreased,beforeeachuse.
Atemperaturesettingofbetween200°C and220°Cwillbesufficientforgeneralcooking.Thismayvaryfor
particularfoodtypes,individualneeds,orexperience.
Simplyplacethefoodproductsonthebottomgrillingsurfaceandlowerthetopplatedown,andcookto
yourneeds.
UsetheAllenkeysuppliedtoadjustthetensionofthetopplate.Turnclockwisetotighten,anti-clockwise
toloosen.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
BeforestartingtocleantheGrill,disconnectfromtheelectricitysupplybyremovingtheplugfromthesocket.
Cleanthecookingsurfaceregularly,werecommenditiscleanedaftereveryusesession.
Whenthecookingsurfacesarestillwarm,washwithwarmsoapywaterandthenrinsethoroughlywith
cleanwater.Thiswillhelptostopfoodstickingtotheplates.
Donotusemetalscrapersorscourers,asthesemaydamagethecookingsurfaces.
Removethefatdriptrayandwashinwarmsoapywater.
Othersurfacescanbewipedoverwithadampclothtoremoveallfoodresidues.
DonotimmersetheContactGrillinwaterorusewaterspraystocleanit.
Ifgreaseispermittedtoaccumulate,itwillbegintocarboniseintoahardsubstancethatisextremely
difficulttoremove.Topreventthis,followthecleaningstepsbelow:
1)AlwaysturnOFFtheapplianceanddisconnectfromthepowersupplybeforecleaning
2)Allowtheappliancetocoolbeforecleaning,butforbestresultscleantheplateswhentheyarestill
slightlywarm
3)Usewarm,soapywaterandadampclothtocleantheexterioroftheappliance
4)Takecarewhenusingscraperstoremovecookingresiduesastheycandamagethecookingsurface
5)Drythoroughlyaftercleaning
6)ABuffalodealerorqualifiedtechnicianshouldcarryoutrepairsifrequired

excessfatandfood.Awastetrayisprovidedforthescrapingsifnecessary
Ifthereisanaccumulationofburnedfatorfood,thecookingsurfaceshouldbethoroughlyscouredand
re-seasoned
NOTE: IT IS VITAL THAT THE COOKING SURFACE IS RE-SEASONED AFTER SCOURING
