One touch turn signal
With just the flick of a switch, your car is in park
mode, making clumsy handbrakes ancient history.
When you’re ready to get back on the road,
EPB automatically disengages as you press
the accelerator pedal as long as the driver
seatbelt is fastened.
Never again will you spend your time at the lights
or stopped in traffic stepping on the brake pedal.
Simply press the automatic Brake Hold button and
the system will hold the HR-V in position without you
having to step on the brake. The system automatically
releases the brake as you press the accelerator pedal
so long as the driver’s seatbelt is engaged.
With a gentle push of the turn indicator,
HR-V indicates three times before automatically
turning off. For continuous indication, just press
until you feel it lock into place.

one of the most notorious blind spots
for any vehicle, LaneWatch comes
standard on the VTi-S and above.

Every contour of the HR-V has been
maximised for strength, agility and
performance. Reinforced steel and highefficiency joint structures create incredible
stability and rigidity at a much lower weight.
Advanced technology is only part of
good fuel economy. The other side of
the equation lies with the person in the
driver’s seat. Imagine a driving coach
that helps you to drive more efficiently.
It’s just one of the reasons why the VTi is so
efficient at 6.6L/100km*, with the VTi-S and
VTi-L models close behind at 6.9L/100km*.
Eco Assist is a visual training system
that responds to your drive. Brake or
accelerate heavily and the outer ring of the
HR-V speedometer glows white^. Keep it
smooth and under control and you’ll be
rewarded with an encouraging green glow.
Moving the fuel tank forward and centre
hasn’t just revolutionised the cargo space.
It also gives the HR-V a lower centre of
gravity, as if hugging the road. Cornering on
the open road is a beautiful thing. Even in
enclosed areas like parking lots or urban
intersections, the HR-V manages a tiny
5.3m turning radius. There’s nothing that
can get in the way of your adventure.

The clever Honda i-SRS driver
airbag system inflates at different
rates depending on crash severity,
seatbelt usage and a host of other
factors to keep you safe behind the
wheel. Dual front, side and fulllength curtain airbags are standard.
In the event of a collision, the seatback
springs are optimised so that the seat
will more equally absorb the occupant’s
impact. This has the potential to cleverly
minimise the risk of a whiplash injury.
Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
Occasionally the situation requires

System (DWS)
Pedestrian protection
Be alerted long before it becomes
an issue. The Deflation Warning
System (DWS) keeps track of the
pressure in all four tyres and reports
to you if one is getting low.
It’s not just your safety Honda has
considered. With smart design features
that absorb energy or break away
under pressure, a pedestrian has a
greater chance of survival if struck.
Hill Start Assist (HSA)
HSA prevents ’rolling back’ when
starting on an incline. The system
controls brake pressure, keeping the
car stationary as you release the brake
pedal and prepare to accelerate.
Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)

Distribution (EBD)
The HR-V comes armed with ABS
for superior stopping power. When
emergency braking is detected Brake
Assist applies maximum braking
pressure whilst EBD monitors and
adjusts the brake force on each wheel.
Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA)

In adverse driving conditions, the

understeer, and automatically adjust

Advanced Driver Assist
System (ADAS)^
Honda’s Advanced Driver Assist System is
an optional package of incredibly clever safety
features that could make all the difference if
the worst was to happen.
Honda has worked tirelessly to ensure the safest
and most comfortable driving experience no
matter the situation. Nothing demonstrates
this endless search for safety more than the
addition of City-Brake Active System* and
the Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS)^.
City-Brake Active System (CTBA)*
ADAS includes:
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Forward Collison Warning (FCW)
- High-Beam Support System (HSS)
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
The reason we call them accidents is that we don’t
expect them to happen. City-Brake Active System
is Honda’s way of minimising the impact of an
unavoidable collision at low-speed on city streets.
The result is less damage to the car and better
protection for everyone inside.
Imagine if your car could read the road. Well, now it can.
With a camera designed to identify lane markings,
the driver is alerted any time the car begins to stray out
of its lane without the turn signal engaged. By alerting
the driver with visual and audible warnings, a side-on
collision can be easily prevented.

A laser sensor mounted behind the rear-view
mirror monitors if there is a vehicle in front of you.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
By monitoring your speed and the closing distance of
the vehicle in front of you, Forward Collision Warning is
able to alert you in advance to a possible collision when
travelling above approximately 15km/h.

If a potential collision is determined the system
will alert the driver with audible and visual warnings.
When a collision is deemed unavoidable, the system will
automatically apply hard braking and reduce its speed.
High-Beam Support System (HSS)
Your car doesn’t just read the road – it can also read the
oncoming traffic. This allows the headlight beams to adjust
automatically as the environment changes. So you can stop
worrying about who’s coming the other way and concentrate
on the drive in front of you.
*Standard on the VTi-S and above. City-Brake Active System operates when the vehicle
is travelling between approximately 5-32km/h. City-Brake Active System should not be
used in place of safe driving practices. Do not rely on City-Brake Active System to avoid
