Lost and Found
All lost and found items will be turned in to the Customer Service Office at Skagit Station
located at 105 E. Kincaid, Mount Vernon. Bicycles will be taken to the Skagit Transit Administrative Office in Burlington. Please call to make arrangements for pick-up. Items are kept for a
maximum of 30 days.

Customer Courtesies
To ensure your ride on Skagit Transit is a safe and pleasant experience:
Keep animals, other than service animals trained to assist the disabled,
in an approved carrier
Children under the age of eight must be accompanied by a person capable
of caring for the child
Stand behind the yellow safety line while the bus is in motion
Shirt and shoes are required
Keep feet off the seats
No smoking, open alcoholic beverages, littering, spitting or eating are permitted
Drinks must have a secure lid on them to be brought onboard
No loud radios or equipment
Keep cell phone conversations quiet to avoid disturbing the driver and other riders
No hazardous materials (gas cans, car batteries, etc) or fireworks of any kind
Do not obstruct the flow of people or transit
Do not destroy transit property
Do not harass the driver or other passengers

Tarifas reducidas
SENIOR/DISABLED
People age 65 and older, people with a Medicare card
and persons with disabilities are eligible to apply for a
Skagit Transit Reduced Fare permit. This free permit
entitles you to ride the regular route buses throughout
Skagit County at a discounted fare. You may obtain a
free Skagit Transit Reduced Fare Permit by applying at
the Customer Service Office at Skagit Station with the
proper documentation.
Also you can purchase the Regional Reduced Fare
Permit. The permit entitles you to ride the regular
buses throughout the Puget Sound Region at a discounted fare. The permit is also valid on the Washington State Ferries. The permit is REQUIRED ON MOST
TRANSIT SYSTEMS IN ORDER TO PAY A REDUCED FARE. The laminated Regional Reduced Fare
Permit is available for $3.00 from any Puget Sound
transit agency. It has no expiration date unless issued
to a person with a temporary disability.
Skagit Transit hereby gives public notice of its policy to
assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights
Act of 1964 and related amendments, statues and
regulations in all Federally funded programs and activities. Title VI requires that no person in the United
States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color,
creed, sex, age or national origin, and other protected
classes as required by law, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise
subjected to discrimination under any program or activity for which Skagit Transit has received Federal financial assistance.
Any person, individually or as a member of any specific
class of persons (including legally protected classes as
required by law), who believes that they have been
subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color,
creed, sex, age or national origin may file a complaint
with Skagit Transit. A complaint must be filed within
180 days after the date of the alleged discrimination.
Discrimination Complaint Forms may be obtained at no
cost to the complainant by calling 360-757-8801 or
TTY/TDD 360-757-1938.
Service tip: Always inform the driver if you plan to
purchase a Day Pass, Reduced Fare or multi-use pass

TRANSIT INFORMATION
Accessibility
Skagit Transit buses are accessible to persons with
disabilities. Persons who are in wheelchairs or cannot
climb the stairs will receive lift assistance for boarding
the vehicle. Seating and space for up to two wheelchairs
is available in the front of the buses behind the operator's seat.
Dial-A-Ride
Skagit Transit Dial-A-Ride is a public service, which
provides specialized transportation compatible with
Skagit Transit's fixed route bus service. It is a prescheduled service designed for people whose conditions
and/or disabilities prevent them from using Skagit Transit's regular fixed route buses. This is based on the review of an application for Dial-A-Ride service in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Signal Before Your Stop
Pull the bell cord one block before your stop.
Strollers Must Be Collapsible
Children must be removed from the strollers and stroller
must be collapsible and stowed underneath the seat or fit
between the seat and the customer. Please fold up
strollers, walkers and empty shopping carts before
boarding.
Passengers Wearing Rollerblades Will Not
Be Allowed On The Bus
Passenger must first remove rollerblades and put on shoes
before entering the bus.
Please Make Front Seats Available
Please give priority in front seats to seniors and disabled
individuals.
No Fireworks, Firearms, Or Weapons Of Any
Kind Allowed On Skagit Transit Property
Bike & Ride
All Skagit Transit buses have bike racks that can accommodate two or three bicycles.
Flag Stops
For the safety of our passengers, Skagit Transit will not
acknowledge flag stops. All passengers will be required to
be at a Skagit Transit bus stop. For bus zone locations,
please call Customer Service.
RULES FOR RIDERS
No swearing or profanity
Locate the bus stop nearest you
Arrive at the stop a few minutes early. Signal to the bus
driver by placing your arm out straight and moving it up
and down.
For the comfort and safety of all passengers,
Skagit Transit reserves the right to refuse
service for persons exhibiting inappropriate
behavior, attire or possessions.
Boarding The Bus
Passengers may board the bus at designated bus stops,
via the front door of the bus. Please be at your stop
five minutes early and have your fare ready before
you board the bus.
FOR YOUR COOPERATION AND FOR
RIDING WITH SKAGIT TRANSIT
Exiting The Bus
Exit using the rear door. After leaving the bus, wait until
the bus pulls away and you have a clear view of any
oncoming traffic before crossing the street. Do not
cross in front of the bus.

What's New?
Most routes have undergone some change during this service enhancement. Major changes include:
204/205—These routes will be run by two buses running different paths between Skagit Station and Skagit
Valley College. Route 205 will cover Riverside Drive and College way and will return the same way at the
top and bottom of each hour. Route 204 will travel past SV Hospital first before heading to the College. It
will operate at 15 and 45 minutes after the hour from Skagit Station. On its way back to Skagit Station,
Route 204 will take over a portion of Route 207 south of LaVenture.
206-This new route will cover the south Mount Vernon portion previously covered by Route 208 North. It will
run every half hour until 6:15pm and once an hour between 6:15pm and 8:45pm.
207-This route will take over a portion of Route 205 south of LaVenture. There will be two buses alternating between Routes 206 and 207 to give service every half hour until 6:00pm and once an hour between
6:15pm and 8:45pm.
208-Route 208 will operate directly between Skagit Station and Chuckanut Park and Ride. Route 208 will be
the only bus traveling through Cascade Mall. Transfers from Route 300 will take place at Chuckanut.
Route 208 South will no longer travel to WalMart.
300-This route will terminate at Chuckanut Park and Ride instead of Cascade Mall. It will make transfers to
Route 208 at Chuckanut. Route 300 will begin serving west Burlington every hour.
305-This route will provide ten trips daily between Sedro Woolley and Skagit Valley College. It will serve
Clear Lake, Skagit Highlands and a portion of east Mount Vernon. Route 305 will connect with Route 300 in
Sedro Woolley and Route 205 at SVC.
513/615-These routes will be merged. Check pages 26-29 for schedules.
717-The portion of Route 717 in the evening between SVC and Food Pavilion in Sedro Woolley has been
added to Route 305.
Many time points at Skagit Station have been changed.

Pocket Service
Skagit Transit offers limited service, called Pocket Service, to people in less populated parts of Skagit County. The service is limited to certain
days of the week and connects people from outlying areas into connections with the main transit centers. Our ability to handle a
particular trip request depends on other reservations and how well they fit together. Hours of service are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through
Friday. Riders are required to register for Pocket Service. To register or to obtain more information call (360) 757-4433. The following gives only
general descriptions of the areas:

Routes 206 and 207 will now be run by two buses alternating
between these routes. One bus will depart Skagit Station as
Route 207 at 15 minutes after each hour and as Route 206 at
55 minutes after each hour. The other bus will depart Skagit

Route 206 at 25 minutes after each hour. Riders traveling on
Route 207 from the east side of I-5 will need to transfer to the
other Route 207 bus at Skagit Station to continue on to WalMart and businesses on Freeway Drive.

Route 49 will serve bus stops on a scheduled route
(represented by the white line), and it will travel up to ¾
mile off the route (shaded area) to designated bus
stops for passengers that are unable to get to the
scheduled route. Passengers should call at least 30
minutes before their desired ride time to schedule a
pick-up at a designated stop near their location.
Call 360-757-4433 to schedule a ride or request information regarding this route and the location of a stop
nearest you. Route 49 will travel to the new boarding area on the Guemes Ferry Dock upon request.
Route 49 (BUS PLUS) vehicles are not equipped
with electronic fare boxes, however, the service
operates as a Fixed Route, thus customers are required to pay a fare.

at 25 minutes after each hour between 8:25am
and 4:25pm. It takes approximately 20 minutes
to complete the fixed loop. Route 49 will pick up
and drop off within 3/4 mile at designated bus
stops. Route 49 will also perform Dial-a-Ride
service on Saturday. For a pick up on Saturday,
call Customer Service at 757-4433 at least 1/2
hour before your requested pick up time for any
point other than the Transfer Station at 10th St
and Q Ave.

Route 615 has been combined with Route 513. At March’s Point, Route 615 will become Route 513 and continue on to

Route 19
Sedro-Woolley / Concrete / Marblemount

ADDITIONAL EAST COUNTY SERVICE (Route 19)
On Friday ONLY, Skagit Transit will operate limited service between Marblemount and Sedro-Woolley. Route 19 will
stop at Food Pavilion in Sedro Woolley at 8:10am on its way to Marblemount. It will travel directly via Highway 20.
Riders are advised to call Customer Service if they will be traveling east on this route in the morning. The time point
leaving Marblemount will be at 9:00 am at the Caboose. The bus will depart the Rockport Store at 9:20 am and depart
at the Concrete Resource Center at 9:45 am. It will arrive at Food Pavilion in Sedro-Woolley at approximately 10:30
am where passengers may transfer to the 300 East into Sedro-Woolley or the 300 West into Burlington. Dial-A-Ride
customers are encouraged to call Reservations to book a pick up time from their location along this route. Fixed Route
customers should be at the bus stop at the designated time.
The return trip to Marblemount will depart Food Pavilion in Sedro-Woolley at 2:00 pm.

County Connector
Three transit agencies, Skagit Transit, Whatcom
Transit Authority in Bellingham and Island Transit
on Whidbey Island will provide service between
the three northwest counties. Whatcom Transit
Authority and Skagit Transit will combine to provide eight round trips per day between Skagit Station and Bellingham Transit Station. This will be an
express run designed for commuters. Island Transit will provide service between Whidbey Island
and Camano Island with stops at March’s Point
and Skagit Station. The fare for the County Connector will be $2.00. Fare boxes will accept coins,
bills and Whatcom Transit Authority Fare Cards
(Route 80X only). Skagit Transit Local 31-day
passes may be used by paying an additional fare.
Transfers will not be honored or issued. Island
Transit will operate fare-free.
