DOSIFICACION Y MODO DE EMPLEO - TRATAMIENTO INICIAL (supercloración): Adicionar 15 gramos de DICLORO GRANULADO por cada m³ de agua. Transcurridas 2 horas, ajustar el pH del agua entre 7,2-7,6 empleando pH MINOR o pH PLUS. - TRATAMIENTO DE MANTENIMIENTO: Con el pH del agua ajustado, añadir a razón de 1 MULTI-ACTION TABLETA 200 por cada 20 m³ de agua cada 7 o 10 días. Estas dosis son de carácter orientativo, y pueden ser modificadas en función de las características de la piscina, su uso, climatología, etc. El tratamiento inicial deberá repetirse siempre que se aprecie una falta de transparencia en el agua. Introducir la dosis necesaria de MULTI-ACTION TABLETA 200 en el interior de los skimmers. A continuación poner en funcionamiento el equipo de filtración para que disuelva el producto al circular el agua a través de dichos skimmers. Es indispensable que todo el volumen de agua de la piscina sea recirculado diariamente a través del equipo depurador. El cloro residual libre deberá situarse entre 0,5 - 2 mg/l. Este control se realizará fácilmente utilizando el estuche analizador de cloro y pH, con una frecuencia de 2 veces al día como mínimo. The most common symptoms of cloudy water are algae development or poor filtration. Cloudiness is a result of the presence of small particles in the water that are not easily filtered or removed by oxidation. Algae in a pool may cause cloudy water, slippery pool surfaces, filter blockage and excessive chemical consumption. Algae can occur due to poor circulation, poor filtration, improper chemical maintenance, or poor housekeeping and environment. Algae do not cause disease, but their presence is not inviting to swimmers. Solution • Poor Filtration: Check filter operation and clean filter. • Algae development: If you notice algae in your pool complete the following two steps: 1. Adjust pH into the range of 7.2 - 7.6 with “pH Minor” or “pH Plus” at least one hour before shocking. 2. Shock treat your pool (see Algae section). 4 • Green algae - Clings to the walls and floats freely, making the water cloudy. • Mustard algae - Clings to walls, leaving the water clear unless it is are physically disturbed. When brushed, mustard algae appears to be a fine brown powder. • Black algae - Clings to walls and is very difficult to remove. Solution - Adjust pH into the range of 7.2 - 7.6 with “pH Minor” or “pH Plus” at least one hour before shocking. - Shock treat your pool with “Dichlorine Granules and Liquid Flocculant” - Brush walls vigorously. - Run filter for 24-hours or until water clears. - Brush the walls and floor of the swimming pool vigorously. - Vacuum. - Add an algaecide. Discoloured Water Corrosion of Metal Parts Discoloured Water Corrosion of Metal Parts Algae growth (green colour), excess copper (blue colour), excess iron (yellow/brown colour) or excess manganese (black colour), are possible causes of discoloured water. Rust is a fact that you have corrosion of metal parts. Causes may include low pH or low calcium hardness. Solution • Opaque, green coloured water (algae growth): See Algae section. • Blue/brown/black coloured water (excess copper / iron / manganese): - Adjust pH into the range of 7.2 - 7.6 with “pH Minor” or “pH Plus” at least one hour before shocking. - Shock treat your pool with “Dichlorine Granules and Liquid Flocculant”. - Brush walls vigorously. - Run filter for 24-hours or until water clears. - Brush the walls and floor of the swimming pool vigorously. - Vacuum. - Add “Super Scale Remover”. Solution • Low pH: Raise pH in the range of 7.2 - 7.6 with “pH Plus”. • Low Calcium Hardness: Raise calcium hardness with “Hardness increaser”. 5 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF YOUR POOL Scale Foaming Scale Foaming You know there is scale in your pool if there are white chalky deposits appearing on pool walls and fixtures. It can result in rough pool wall surfaces and reduced circulation flow. Scale can occur if the water’s pH level is too high. Foamy water is a result of build-up of body oils, lotions, deodorants, and cosmetics. Solution • High pH: Lower pH in the range of 7.2 - 7.6 with “pH Minor”. - Add “Scale Remover”. 6 Solution - Use Defoamer Chlorine Odour Eye and Skin Irritation Chlorine odour Eye and Skin Irritation Smelling chlorine when you are swimming is a common symptom of: a pH imbalance, a high presence of combined chlorine (chloramines) or excess total chlorine in the water. Have you ever tried to open your eyes under water and they immediately began to burn, or you experienced itchy skin? You may have assumed that too much chlorine was the cause when in actuality it was due to imbalanced pH or low free available chlorine. This is why it’s important to keep your water balanced to ensure optimal swimmer’s comfort. Solution • pH imbalance: - Adjust pH into the range of 7.2 - 7.6 with “pH Minor” or “pH Plus”. • High presence of combined chlorine: - Adjust pH into the range of 7.2 - 7.6 with “pH Minor” or “pH Plus” at least one hour before shocking. - Shock treat your pool with “Dichlorine Granules”. • HighTotal Chlorine: - Adjust pH into the range of 7.2 - 7.6 with “pH Minor” or “pH Plus”. - Remove excess chlorine with “Chlorine Neutraliser”.
