Linear’s M&S Systems brand Model DMC-10 Structured Wiring
Intercom System is a distributed hub design that provides easy
installation and structured wiring mounting compatibility.

Instructions
The heart of the system is the Model DMC-10H Intercom Hub.
The system hub grid mounts in a structured wiring enclosure.
Up to eight room, door, and patio stations in any combination
can be connected to the system hub using up to 500 feet of
standard Cat-5 cable for each station. For larger installations, a
second intercom hub can be added for 16 station capacity.

Room station keypads are illuminated with soft blue indicators
while the intercom is in use. The door and patio station keys are
illuminated with white lighting. Station faceplates are available
in a variety of colors to customize each installation.

4. ROUTE CAT-5 CABLE FOR STATION
The room, patio, and door stations mount inside standard
2-gang junction boxes and are easy to install and wire. Each
station and the intercom hub contains color-coded Type 110
punch-down terminal blocks for fast and reliable connection to
Cat-5 cable using a Type 110 impact punch down tool.

Linear LLC warrants its M&S Systems brand products to be free of defects for 2 years.
The warranty period begins on either (a) the date of purchase or installation date of
this product, or (b) the date of closing on a new residence in which this product was
originally installed.
The warranty extends to the original user of the product and to each subsequent owner
of the product during the term of the warranty. Linear will repair or replace, at its option,
parts and materials at no charge. Parts supplied under this warranty may be new or rebuilt
at the option of Linear.
If, during the warranty period, the product appears to have a defect, please call our toll
free number (800-421-1587) prior to dismantling. Dismantling the product prior to calling
our service number may void the warranty. Before returning any product to Linear, obtain a
Return Product Authorization (RPA) number from our service department. Linear will return
the repaired product freight prepaid within the continental United States. ANY PRODUCT
RETURNED TO LINEAR WITHOUT AN RPA NUMBER WILL BE REFUSED.
This limited warranty is in lieu of any other warranties, express or implied, including any
implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or otherwise, and of any
other obligations or liability on the seller’s part. This limited warranty does not cover damage
caused by improper installation, acts of God, criminal acts, the violation of applicable building
or electrical codes or the use of non-M&S wire or cable (excluding CAT-5 and RG-6).
Under no circumstances shall Linear be liable for consequential, incidental or special
damages arising in connection with use, or inability to use this product. In no event shall
Linear’s liability hereunder exceed the cost of the product covered hereby. No person is
authorized to assume for us or obligate us for any other liability in connection with the sale of
this product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential, incidental
or special damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This limited
warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary
from state to state.
1. DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PRODUCTO
El Sistema de Intercomunicación con Cableado Estructurado Modelo
DMC-10 fabricado por M&S Systems de Linear, se basa en un diseño
de central de red distribuida que facilita su instalación y la compatibilidad
de montaje del cableado estructurado.
El punto neurálgico del sistema es la Central de Intercomunicación
Modelo DMC-10H. La red de la central del sistema se monta en un
recinto de cableado estructurado. Se pueden conectar hasta ocho
estaciones de habitaciones, puertas y patio en cualquier combinación
a la central del sistema mediante el uso de 500 pies (151 metros) de
cable Cat-5 estándar para cada estación. Para instalaciones mayores,
se puede agregar una segunda central de intercomunicación para tener
una capacidad de 16 estaciones.
Los teclados de las estaciones de las habitaciones se iluminan
con indicadores iluminados en luz azul suave mientras se utiliza el
intercomunicador. Las teclas de las estaciones de puertas y del patio se
iluminan en luz blanca. Se dispone de diversos colores para las placas
frontales de las estaciones de manera de personalizar cada instalación.
Las estaciones de las habitaciones, patio y puerta se montan dentro de
cajas de empalme estándar de dos elementos y son fáciles de instalar
y cablear. Cada estación y la central de intercomunicación contienen
regletas de bornes de impacto (o de “ponchar”) Tipo 110 con código
de colores para hacer conexiones rápidas y confiables al cable Cat-5
mediante el uso de una herramienta de impacto Tipo 110.

Linear LLC garantiza sus productos marca M&S Systems contra defectos durante dos (2) años. El
período de garantía comienza ya sea (a) en la fecha de compra o en la fecha de instalación de este
producto o (b) en la fecha de cierre del contrato de compraventa de una residencia nueva donde se
instaló originalmente este producto.
La garantía se extiende al usuario original del producto y a cada propietario posterior del producto
durante el período de garantía. Linear reparará o reemplazará, a opción propia, piezas y materiales
sin costo alguno. Las piezas provistas bajo esta garantía podrán ser nuevas o remanufacturadas a
opción de Linear.
Si, durante el período de garantía, el producto parece tener un defecto, favor de llamar a nuestro
número sin costo alguno (800-421-1587) antes de desarmarlo. El hecho de desarmar el producto
antes de llamar a nuestro número de servicio podrá anular o cancelar la garantía. Antes de devolver
cualquier producto a Linear, favor de obtener un número de “Return Product Authorization”
(Autorización de Devolución de Producto) (RPA, por sus siglas en inglés) de nuestro departamento de
servicio. Linear devolverá el producto reparado con porte pagado dentro del territorio continental de
los Estados Unidos. TODO PRODUCTO DEVUELTO SIN UN NÚMERO RPA SERÁ RECHAZADO.
Esta garantía limitada se emite en lugar de cualesquiera otras garantías, expresas o implícitas,
incluyendo cualquier garantía implícita de comerciabilidad o de adecuación a un fin específico o de
alguna otra manera, y de todas y cada una de las demás obligaciones o responsabilidades por parte
del vendedor. Esta garantía limitada no cubre daños causados por una instalación incorrecta, actos
fortuitos, actos criminales, la violación de códigos de construcción o eléctricos o el uso de cables que
no sean de M&S (se excluyen los cables CAT-5 y RG-6).
