J’ai le grand plaisir et le grand honneur de vous inviter
au 10ème Congrès International de la Société Européenne de Gynécologie, qui se tiendra à Bruxelles, en
Belgique du 17 au 21 septembre 2013. Réservez dès
à présent, ces dates dans votre agenda. Avec la participation du Professeur Andrea Genazzani en tant que Président de la Société, de moi-même au titre de Président
du Comité Scientifique et avec le partenariat du Comité
Scientifique International de la SEG avec les Sociétés
Belges de Gynécologie [GGOLFB (Groupement des
Gynécologues Obstétriciens de langue Française) and
VVOG (Vlaamse Vereniging voor Obstetrie and Gynaecologie)], nous pouvons vous assurer d’un programme
scientifique stimulant à la pointe des connaissances et
des développements cliniques et scientifiques.
Cette rencontre sera un moment d’échange sur les
nombreux aspects de la santé féminine, de la vie de
la reproduction, des complications gravidiques….
Des présentations plénières feront le point des
connaissances actuelles et la synthèse des acquis
thérapeutiques et des consensus médicaux Européens.
Bruxelles est notre Capitale, capitale de la Belgique,
mais aussi Capitale Européenne. Siège des Institutions de la Commission Européenne, et de l’OTAN,
Bruxelles est aussi une capitale des Arts, du Surréalisme de Magritte, ville de Gastronomie exquise, et de
raffinement multiculturel. Venez goûter le charme de la
Grand-Place, et des ruelles adjacentes, où Manneken
pis est une attraction bien connue. Flâner à Bruxelles,
au mont des Arts, au début du charme de l’automne,
visiter ses galeries commerçantes prestigieuses,
(galeries du Roi, de la Reine), ou encore l’Atomium,
le Palais Royal, ou ses célèbres musées de peinture,
d’art Moderne, musée Magritte, musées Royaux du
Cinquantenaire représentent d’excellentes opportunités de découvrir la fascinante culture de notre Capitale Européenne.

s’intitule «L’unité dans la Diversité». Elle s’applique
non seulement à l’Europe mais aussi à notre Société
et à la Vocation de notre 10ème Congrès de la SEG.

I have the great honor and pleasure to invite you to the
tenth International Congress of the European Society of Gynecology, that will take place In Brussels,
Belgium, September 17-21, 2013.
Consider fixing immediately, these dates in your Calendar. With the participation of Prof. Andrea Genazzani,
as President of the Society, of myself as Chairman of
the International Scientific Committee, with the partnership of the ESG Scientific Committee and of the
Belgian Societies of Gynecology (GGOLFB and VVOG),
we can assure you that the Scientific program will be
outstanding at the sharp edge of scientific knowledge
and of new clinical developments.
This Congress will be a platform for extensive exchanges about many aspects of the Women’s health, reproductive medicine and obstetrical complications. Plenary presentations and key note lectures will provide
integrated and up to date comprehensive information
about the recent therapeutic achievements, present
knowledge in Gynecology and European medical Consensus.
Brussels is our Capital, the Capital of Belgium, but also
an European Capital. It hosts the European Commission and NATO organizations. Brussels is also a Capital of Arts, Surrealism (Magritte) of exquise French and
International Cuisine and of multicultural refinement.
Come and taste the charm of the Grand-Place, and
of the neighborouring small streets, with Manneken
Pis, a world famous statue. Walk through Brussels in
the late summer, go to the Mont des Arts. Discover the
Magritte Museum or the Royal Palce or the prestigious
commercial galeries, or even the Atomium, the modern Art Museum, the Cinquantenaire Museum….
The Motto, for Europe "Unity in Diversity" was selected in Brussels in 2000. It applies not only to Europe but also to the ESG and to the Spirit of our 10th
Congress.

F Le Congrès sera organisé en Conférences Plénières,
Débates, Sessions d'experts et Sessions Plénières. Chaque
session comprendra 4 ou 5 intervenants, qui pourront présenter leur recherche scientifique en 20 minutes environ
avec en plus 5 minutes de discussion. Il y aura en plus,
des Symposia Satellites, des Tables Rondes (round tables),
des Communications Libres et des Sessions Posters.
E The Congress will be organized in Plenary Lectures, Debates, Meet the Expert and Plenary Sessions. Each session
will include four or five speakers each presenting their scientific research in approximately 20 minutes plus 5 minutes
discussion. Moreover, Special Sessions on Last Minute Hot
Topics, Sponsored Symposia, Round Tables, Oral Presentations and Poster Sessions will be available.

la évaluation du Comité Scientifique
• Chaque personne est autorisée à soumettre un maximum
de deux abstracts en tant que premier auteur sous forme
d’ une communication orale et d’un poster, ou, alternativement, deux présentations de posters. Il n’y a pas de limites
pour le nombre d’abstracts soumis en temps que co-auteurs. Les détails sur les horaires et les instructions pour
les présentations orales et les posters seront disponibles
sur le site www.seg2013.com
• Le programme scientifique du Congrès sera disponible en
ligne sur le même site à partir du 12 Juillet 2013
• Les auteurs de résumés acceptés pour présentation, seront
prévenus le 14 Juin 2013 au plus tard
• Quand un abstract est accepté pour présentation, l’auteur
doit s’inscrire au Congrès et payer les frais d’enregistrement
avant le 22 Juin 2013. Si l’inscription n’est pas payée à
cette date, les abstracts concernés seront effacés;
Abstract submission
· Deadline for abstract submission is May 20th 2013
· Abstracts can only be submitted using the on-line form
available on www.seg2013.com. Abstracts sent by email
or fax will be ignored.
· Each person is allowed to submit a maximum of two abstracts as presenting author: one oral presentation and one
poster or, alternatively, two posters. There is no limit to the
number of abstracts submitted as co-author;
· Presenting authors will be notified whether their abstracts
are accepted by June 14th 2013. Further details on the
schedule and instructions for oral and poster presentations
will be available on the website www.seg2013.com;
· The Scientific Programme of the Congress will be available
on the website www.seg2013.com by July 12th 2013;
· Authors whose abstracts have been accepted must register
for the Congress and pay the registration fee by June 22th
2013. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the programme and the Book of Abstracts;

Le Congrès sera organisé dans le centre SQUARE, un site
architectural indépendant, dans le quartier culturel du Mont
des Arts, en plein cœur de Bruxelles. Il se situe à un jet de
pierre des principaux musées et galeries d'art, dont le tout
nouveau Musée Magritte, consacré au Maître du Surréalisme.

luxe ou de charme, restaurants renommés se trouvent également à proximité. Le SQUARE est situé à deux pas de la Gare
Centrale, d'où l'on peut rejoindre l'aéroport international ou

Congress Venue
The Congress Venue is the Square Meeting Centre, an indipendent architectural landmark situated in the vibrant Mont
des Arts cultural quarter in the heart of Brussels. It is located
easily among the city's major museums and art galleries, including the recently opened Magritte Museum, devoted to the
country's Master of Surrealism. All the major shops and tourist
attractions are just a short stroll away, and there are plenty of
good hotels to choose from in the neighbourhood. SQUARE is
situated in front of the Central Station, handy for the international airport and train connections.

If you are interested in a group registration (10 persons or
more), please email the Congress Secretariat at seg2013@
btcongress.com for further information. Please note that no
registration will be made without full personal contact details
for each participant. Blank registrations are not allowed.
*Conditions d’annulation
Le remboursement des frais d’inscription (sauf un montant
de € 25,00 qui sera déduit pour taxes et frais de gestion)
sera garanti aux personnes qui ne peuvent participer. Toute
demande d’annulation devra être faite par écrit au Secrétariat
du Congrès avant le 15 juillet, 2013. Après le 15 juillet 2013,
aucun remboursement ne sera effectué. Tout remboursement
sera effectué après le Congrès.

A written notice must be received by the Organizing Secretariat
before July 15th, 2013.
No refunds will be made for cancellations received after July
