ELECTIONS 2015 AU CONSEIL D’ADMINISTRATION
DE L’ECOLE EUROPENNE DE STRASBOURG
Les parents d'élèves élisent tous les ans certains d'entre eux pour les représenter au sein du
CONSEIL D’ADMINISTRATION : les parents élus de l’APE-EES siègent assidûment au CA de l’école
depuis 2008.
ROLE du CA: Le conseil d'administration est l'organe délibérant de l’Ecole Européenne de
Strasbourg. Les parents élus sont membres à part entière de ces instances participatives : ils ont
voix délibérative.
Il se réunit en séance ordinaire à l'initiative du chef d'établissement au moins trois fois par an. En
réalité : beaucoup plus souvent.
Le conseil d'administration adopte le projet d'établissement, le règlement intérieur et le budget. Il
statue de manière générale sur toutes les décisions importantes concernant l’Ecole.
Les instances suivantes émanent du CA : conseil de discipline, commission permanente,
commission hygiène et sécurité, commission d’appel d’offre, comité d’éducation à la santé et à la
citoyenneté, commission éducative.
En application du Règlement Général des Ecoles Européennes, d’autres instances spécifiques sont
en place à l’Ecole Européenne de Strasbourg et la représentation des parents est assurée par des
élus de l’APE-EES (cf règlement intérieur). NB : les sujets de pédagogie ou de programme des Ecoles
Européennes ne relèvent pas du rôle du CA.
COMPOSITION : Le CA est composé 30 membres répartis en 3 collèges:

Collège 1 : 4 membres de la direction de l’EES, 4 Représentants des Collectivités Locales (Ville
de Strasbourg, Département du Bas-Rhin et Région Alsace) et 2 Représentants des
Institutions Européennes.
Collège 2 : Représentants du Personnel (Enseignants et Personnels autres) : 10 membres
Collège 3 : 7 membres Représentants des Parents d’Elèves +3 membres Représentants des
élèves
Exemples de décisions prises en CA :
- budget, séjours et voyages scolaires, dépenses d’équipements spécifiques aux Ecoles
Européennes, recrutements d’enseignants et de postes sur le budget de l’école
- horaires,
- projets pédagogiques (ERASMUS+)

ELECTION OF PARENT REPRESENTATIVES ON THE STRASBOURG
EUROPEAN SCHOOL’S ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD
The parents elect their candidates each year to represent them on the ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD.
Elected APE-EES parents have diligently served on the Board since the school’s creation in 2008.
Role of the Board: The Administrative Board is the governing body of the Strasbourg European
School. Elected parents are full members of this participatory body and exercise full voting rights.
It meets in ordinary sessions at the initiative of head of school at least three times a year. In reality
the frequency of meetings is much more often.
The board adopts school project, rules of procedure and the budget. It decides on all important
matters concerning the school.
The following bodies stem from Administrative Board: the disciplinary board, the standing
committee, the health and safety committee, the tender committee, the education committee for
health and citizenship and the educational commission.
Under the general regulations of the European Schools, other specific bodies are in place at the
Strasbourg European School and parent representation is guaranteed by the elected APE-EES
members (see internal rules). Please note, the pedagogical issues or the European Schools do not
fall within the role of the Board.
COMPOSITION: The Board is composed 30 members divided into three colleges:
- College 1: 4 members of the EES Direction, 4 representatives of Local Government (City of
Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin and Alsace region) and 2 representatives of the European institutions.
- College 2: Staff Representatives (teachers and other school staff): 10 members
- College 3: 7 elected parent representatives and three student representatives.
Examples of Board decisions:
- Budget, school journeys and trips, expenses for specific school equipment, recruitment of
teachers and positions on the school budget
- Timetables,
- Educational projects (such as ERASMUS +)
- Etc.
