What is Day Service?
A day service offers a place to come, meet new
people, have a home cooked meal, join in the
many acitivities on offer, read the newspapers or
go out on a day trip, but most importantly, it’s
about you the individual.
How can we help you?
We will endeavour to make sure your time with us
is a pleasant one. You will be given the choice
and the freedom to decide what it is you would
like to do. Any special dietary needs will be catered for
You will be picked up each day by a specially
adapted minibus making getting on and off the
bus as easy and as comfortable for you as possible.
You are welcome to come for a day and try us
out!!! We will ensure you of a warm welcome,
tea and biscuits and a 2 course meal at lunch time.
How much does it cost?
It costs between £4.30 & £6.10* per day.
This covers - Day Care £1.80*
- Transport £1.80
- Lunch
£2.50
*A financial assessment will decide if day care charges apply
How many times a week can I attend?
Providing we have a vacancy, you will be offered either
one or two days per week. The days will be either a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
What if I am not happy?
We will endeavour to help with any concerns you may
have. Your enjoyment at the centre is paramount to us but
we do understand that a day service isn’t for everyone and
sometimes it’s not the centre that is at fault.
What do I need to do to arrange a visit?
Write or telephone:
Adult & Community Services or
St John’s Centre on the numbers overleaf.
We very much look forward to meeting you.
