This kit will add 2D decoding to any standard 1D Magellan 800i reader. To upgrade a 1D model for 2D scanning applications, simply scan the provided programming bar code and the software will automatically be updated in only a few seconds. Once upgraded, the scanner will support PDF417, Micro PDF, Data Matrix, QR Code, Aztec Code and MaxiCode symbologies for a multitude of scanning applications. The 2D upgrade kit is available now for purchase. Ordering Details 1. Order the quantity of the part number below for the number of Magellan 800i units that need to be upgraded. At the time of order, the serial number of each unit to be updated is also required. 2. Determine how the serial numbers should be bundled in groups of 1 to 20 scanners per upgrade bar code. Each bar code produced will only work for the serial numbers that are embedded into it, up to a maximum number of 20 Magellan’s per bar code. 3. The information in steps 1 and 2 will then be confirmed via a simple Professional Services Agreement from Datalogic Technical Support. Once the ordering information is confirmed to Datalogic Technical Support the upgrade bar codes will be built and sent to the designated contact.
