Marshall V-R63P Instruction Sheet Broadcast Multimedia Division http://www.LCDRacks.com e-mail: [email protected] The V-R63P is a rack mountable unit that has three independently controlled 5.8" active matrix LCD panels with loop through capability. These 16:9 high-resolution panels have a pixel count of 1200 × 234, and are rated at a very bright 350 candle luminance. Each of the three screens has a built-in color bar generator, controls for brightness, color, tint, and contrast, and a selectable aspect ratio of 16:9 or 4:3. Each panel accepts two composite video inputs, and has a selectable NTSC/PAL switch on the back. A built in 3 color tally system is also provided for each screen. Unit comes complete with power supply, and fits into any standard EIA 19" rack, at only 3 rack spaces high. The operation of the V-R63P is fairly straightforward, however, please take note of the following: 1. The V-R63P has been designed to fit in a 3U space on your rack. It is important to use 4 screws to hold the ears to the rack. Be certain that the ears are aligned vertically, this is important to the tilt function. The auto signal detection will display a blue screen with the absence of a signal. The V-R63P has a memory function that will remember the settings of each monitor including power and channel selection even if power has been disconnected from the unit. 2. Each LCD Panel comes with a protective plastic film that must be removed by carefully lifting the film from the corner and peeling it off. Be certain not to apply any pressure on the LCD panels, they are fragile and can break. Scratched, cracked or broken LCD screens are not covered by our warranty. 3. The V-R63P uses 9VDC, 3.0amp regulated power. Be certain that these specifications are met when using a power supply other than the one supplied to you by Marshall Electronics. The center pin on the coaxial power connector for the V-R63P is the POSITIVE terminal and the outside ring is NEGATIVE. Any battery operation of the V-R63P must have this polarity configuration. 4. The Video inputs on the rear of the panel are 75 Ohm self-terminated. The loopthrough feature uses active components and is always active as long as power is supplied to the unit regardless of the monitor being ON or OFF. Each screen has the capability to switch between NTSC and PAL signals. This switch is located on the rear of the unit. Once switched, both channels on that monitor will be set to either 2.5” PAL or NTSC. However, each screen is independently controlled.
