In order to submit a valid warranty claim, the product, where possible, needs to be returned to the Katun Warranty
®
Claims Department in its original packaging. All warranty claims submitted to Katun must be accompanied by a
completed Customer Choice warranty claim form. The customer will select the desired warranty option on the form:
(a) Technical Evaluation / Replacement: the product will be examined (including, if required, visual, electrical or
functional testing) to determine the validity of the claim. Within a reasonable period upon receipt of the product, the
customer will be issued with a report containing the test results. If the warranty claim is upheld, the customer will be
issued with a replacement of the product submitted product.
(b) Technical Evaluation / Crediting: research and reporting will be conducted in a manner identical to that indicated
above. If the claim is upheld, the customer will be credited with the amount due.
(c) Automatic Replacement: A replacement of the submitted product will be issued to the customer automatically. The
test results or test reports will not be disclosed to the customer. To be eligible for an automatic replacement, the

product must be returned to Katun within ninety days of its purchase date.
ls In the event that no option has been indicated, your claim will be considered pursuant to the procedure described in
section a. This warranty will be void in the event that the defect has been caused by damage resulting from an accident,

1. General Instructions

2. Specific Requirements
If damage (for example, a chip or scratch on a photoreceptor) is noted “out-of-box,” DO NOT INSTALL THE
PRODUCT. No copy/print samples are required. Installing a product with out-of-box damage could void the
warranty.
Include applicable copy/print samples with all claims. If a photoreceptor is suspected to be defective after
machine installation, please attach to this form the copy/print samples indicated below. This will allow for a
thorough evaluation of the claim. Ensure that neither the form nor copy/print samples will contact the
photoreceptor surface during shipment.
FOR PHOTORECEPTORS USED IN COPIERS, include:
(a) Three “sky shot” (open platen; black) copies;
(b) Three white copies; and
(c) Three copies of a test pattern.
NOTE: If the defect is not visible on the copies indicated above, please attach three copies that clearly show the
defect.
