USB wall plate charger WP4UWR/WP4UAR User’s Guide The RCA USB wall plate charger turns any standard home dual AC power outlet into a USB outlet in seconds, with fast, full-speed charging for smartphones or tablets. The 4 USB charging outlets support a wide range of USB-powered portable devices. The outlets labeled 2.1 are optimized for devices that require extra current, such as tablets. These outlets can output 2.1 Amps of power. The bottom 2.1 outlet is switchable, to support tablet products with different charging circuitries. If you notice that your tablet is not charging correctly on the top 2.1 outlet, follow the instructions below to charge it on the switchable 2.1 outlet. • The switch controls the bottom 2.1 outlet only. It does not control the other • When this charger is providing maximum charging power (like with two fully discharged tablets, four fully discharged phones), it is not unusual for the outside case of the wall plate charger to become warm to the touch. This is normal. You should not hold on to the case when it is warm, although it is safe to touch. Note about tablet charging: This wall plate charger has 2 banks of 2 USB charging outlets each. Each bank provides enough power for full-speed charging for 1 tablet or 2 smartphones. In other words, the wall plate charger can provide full-speed charging for up to 2 tablets or 4 smartphones at the same time. For full-speed charging of tablets, you should charge it by itself in its bank--you can still use the other bank for either a single tablet or 2 smartphones, as shown here. All four outlets support regular USB-powered devices, such as most smartphones.
