B AT T E R Y I N S TA L L AT I O N
The battery cover is located on the back of the unit.
Slide the cover in the direction of the arrow to gain
access to the battery compartment 5 . Insert 2
AAA (UM-4) batteries into the compartment. Make
sure that the batteries are positioned in accordance
with the diagram indicated. Replace cover.
Note:
(1) During radio listening , radio will turn itself off
when the battery power becomes too low. A low
battery indicator will appear on the display for
1.5 seconds (you may not notice this ) indicating
weak batteries and replacement is necessary.
(2) During the low battery status, if you press the
POWER button, Radio won't turn it on but
appear with low battery indicator to remind the
battery power is low and needed for battery
replacement.
(3) During battery replacement, turn off the power
and make sure the lock switch is in the locked
position. This will prevent any memory presets
from being lost during battery replacement.

ANTENNA/EARPHONE USE
I n s e r t i n g t h e e a r p h o n e i n t o t h e e a r p h o n e j a c k 11 .
The cord connecting the earphone to the receiver
acts as an antenna during FM reception and should be extended as much as possible to increase
F M s e n s i t i v i t y.

reception and it is only necessary to rotate the radio

A . APS (auto scan and auto preset)
This radio equips with APS device to have auto
scan and auto preset function. Among the many
conveniences offered by this feature it is especially useful for the traveler who can automatically
find all the local stations in any strange city he
may travel to with just the push of two buttons.
Tu rn on the radio by pressing On/Off button 1 ,
connect earphone to the earphone jack, select
required band by pressing band selection button

3 button at the same time for more than 2 seconds
until LCD display shows 'AUTO SCAN' .
The receiver will scan from the low frequency of
the selected AM or FM band and auto memory
the stations it can find until memory is full. i.e. 15
memory stations on FM band or 6 memory stations

B . 90 minutes auto shut off device
For saving battery power , this radio is designed
to auto shut off after 90 minutes operation, LCD
displa y shows

Contr ol Up 4 or Down 3 for more than 1/2 second .
The radio will scan all the frequencies in that band
and will stop automatically when a radio station
is found.

When the desired station is reached and indicated in the LCD display 2 ,press
the Memory Button 6 . AM will flash in the
LCD display and also a suggested number of
memory position .During its flashing, select the

then press Memory button 6 again. 'M' will stop
flashing indicating station memory being done.
Note : No matter you press Memory Button 6
or Memory Recall button 7 , if the number digit is flashing which indicates the flashing number station has been memoried.
It will replace previous memory station, if
you press Memory Button at this time.

If the memory is full , when press the Memory

Select the required memory station by pressing
Tuning Control 3 or 4 , LCD display Mand
memory digit will flash . When the required station is found, press Memory Recall button 7 again, LCD M and memory digit will stop flashing.
For priority stations recall, simply turn on the radio by pressing On/Off button 1 then pressing
Priority station button 8 . Select the required
Priority station by pressing priority station button
again.
If there is no memory station or priority station,
while you press Memory Recall button or Priority button , LCD display will show ME (memory
empty) or PE (priority station empty).

If the memory is full or you like to delete the me12
mory stations .Recall the memory stations by pressing Memory Recall buttons 7 . Press Memory button 6 for more than 2 seconds untill LCD
display DEL flashing, press Memory button 6
again, the recall memory station is then deleted.
I . Memory Scan
To s c a n t h e m e m o r y s t a t i o n s , p r e s s M e m o r y r e call button for more than 2 seconds until LCD display MEMO SCAN appears, the radio will scan
the memory stations up and stops for a few seconds for you to pick up the required memory stations. When the required memory station is found.
Pres s Memory Recall button 7 twice to stop
Mem ory Scan.
J . Memory Exchange
For editing your memory stations, you may exchange the memory stations.

The radio is designed to receive FM stereo broadcasts with earphone connected to the earphone

tuning step is 10 kHz. On other countries is 9
kHz.
To change AM band tuning step, please follow
below steps.
1. change AM band tuning step from 9 kHz to
10kHz.
Turn off the power by pressing On/Off button
1 , press Tuning Control button Up 4 continuously then turn on the power by pressing
On/Off button again. Release the buttons the
AM tuning step will now change to 10 kHz.
2. change AM band tuning step from 10 kHz to
9 kHz
Turn off the power by pressing On/Off button
1 , press Tuning Control button Down 3
continuously and then turn on the power by
pressing On/Off button again. Release the buttons, the AM tuning step will change to 9 kHz.

M . Lock Switch
To prevent accidential changing of any of the radio settings, move the Lock Switch 14 to up position, LCD display
icon will appear. To release, simply move the switch to its down position.
It is important to make sure Lock Switch is in its
down position when radio is to be operated , as
radio is completely inoperative until Lock Switch
is released.
If the radio is not to be used for any extended period of time battery power savings may be realized by setting Lock Switch to On position
during storage.

MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the radio dry. If it does get wet , wipe it immediately. Liquids may contain chemicals that
can corrode electronic circuitry.

2.Use and store your radio only in normal temperature environments. High temperature can shorten the life of electronic devices, damage batteries and melt plastic parts.
3. Handle the radio gently and carefully. Dropping
it can damage circuit boards and cases and render it defective.
4. Keep the radio away from dust and dirty.
5. Wipe the radio with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents
or strong detergents.
6. Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type. Always remove old or weak batteries as they can leak and destroy electronic components and circuitry.
7. Modifying or tampering with the radio intemal
components can cause a malfunction and will
void the product's warranty.
