PAL Camcorders Explained: In the U.S., the TV color system is known as NTSC, which
uses 525 scan lines at 30 frames per second. But there are two other television standards,
called PAL and SECAM, used in the rest of the world. Unlike NTSC, PAL uses 625 scan lines
at 25 frames per second. So, while camcorders can record video anywhere in the world, it’s
