during the development of an assembly language
program. With some care it can also be used to call the OS to, say,
format a disk,

Removethe personalityboard from slot I of your 800. Removethe casefrom the board and lay the board on the

socket.Pry ROM "F" out of the socketby pryingfirst at the top of thechipand thenat thebottomto slowlyrock it
out of the socket.PlaceROM "F" on the aluminumfoil work area.

For this stepthe OMNIMON! board shouldbe left on the styrofoampackingto be surethe pinson the bottom of
the OMNtrMON!board are not bent. InsertROM "F" into the ROM "F" socketprovidedon the OMNIMON!
board. First align the pins on one sideof the chip and then the other sideuntil all pins are alignedto the centerof
the socketholes.PressROM "F" into the socketevenlyuntil the chip is seatedall the way into the socket.Make
sureall of the pins went in straightand none are bent.

Next,connectthe wire on the OMNIMON! boardfrom the holelabeled"H" to pin 20 of ROM "D". This may be
performedby usingeithermethod"a" or "b".

Solderthe looseend of the wire to pin 20 of ROM "D" on the back sideof the ATARI board.

First removeROM "D" from its socketin the samemanneras ROM "F" in step2 above.Insertthe looseend
of the wire into the socketat pin 20 of ROM "D". If the wire feelssnugthen re-insertROM "D" into the

ATARI socketin the samemanneras ROM "F" in step3 above.Testthe snugness

Next, insertthe OMNIMON! board into ROM "F" socketon the ATARI board.If the ROM "F" socketpinson
your ATARI board are sprungthe OMNIMON! board may not fit snuglyenoughto stayin placeunderthe normal
vibration of moving the computeraround. In this case,usethe enclosedwaxedstring to securethe OMNIMON!
board to the ATARI ROM "F" socket.Route the waxedstring under the ATARI ROM "F" socketfrom top to
bottom. Tie the string around the board as shown in the drawing.

Re-installthe personalitycard into slot I of your 800.
