ISO 13485 is a standard for design & manufacture of medical equipment. It is
an independent standard certification that is generally harmonized with ISO
9001. The standard has been prepared in accordance with the European
Commission; with the essential requirements of EU directives for medical
devices &CE marking.

For Arctiko the ISO 13485 is a quality management system to ensure
that our products meets the EU directive 93/42/EEC for medical
devices. Class I devices is approved by Arctiko, whereas Class II
equipment must be approved by an external certification
company. For both Arctiko prepared Technical File which
verified that the equipment meets the essential
requirement of EU directive 93/42/EEC for medical
devices & CE marking.

Testing
Each item from Arctiko is carefully tested in our Technical Unit, in Denmark. Our products go through various
Production Quality Tests such as visual inspection,
temperature fluctuation, pull down test, the
stability of the temperature inside the freezer,
the alarms for hold overtime, etc. All these
PQ tests are performed on empty
freezers, which mean that once they
contain products, their efficiency
and accuracy will increase
even more.
Packing
Our warehouse is in charge
of the packing of our goods in
order for them to travel in the
safest conditions. Each item is
carefully wrapped in polystyrene
and cardboard or wooden boxes.
We also equip most crates with a tilt
watches to monitor the shipping; this will
ensure a preventative effect against transport
damages.

The VR60 is designed for demanding tasks, where
temperature must stay stable and constant in a
range of +2°C to +8°C. In the event of a power
cut, the ice-lining will keep the temperature inside
the unit at the same temperature for more than
50 hours !

steady conditions, in order to ensure maximum efficiency. Over the
years, our researches and constant development have made us the
expert in temperature control. Arctiko is one of the world’s leading
supplier of medicine coolers, manufacturers of stable and reliable
units that will keep your precious vaccines safe from any temperature changes that could harm the medicines. Our ice-lined refrigerators have been approved by WHO/UNICEF to meet their medical
requirements and standards (E3/RF3).

Our electronic thermostats and the ice-lining will guarantee you
perfect temperature control in the range +2°C to +v8°C. The
temperature inside the unit is steadily checked on the external
digital thermometer. The effective insulation and the ice-lining
will ensure an exceptionally long hold-over time in case of a
power failure. The cabinet is filled with baskets, allowing very
organized storage; the galvanized steel cabinet protects
against any rust and the evaporator tubing is made of copper,
for maximum resistance. The appliances are supplied in robust
wooden crates for the transportation.
