Canon Factory Certified Program
When you choose a Canon Factory Certified model, you’re
buying high-quality office equipment that’s good for the
environment and your budget.
Canon Factory Certified Series models are produced at our
U.S.-based manufacturing facility in Newport News, Virginia.
This program is part of Canon’s responsible product life cycle
management principles. It reflects the company’s commitment
to limit its impact on the environment by extending product life
and conserving natural resources through reliable, high-quality
remanufactured office equipment.
At Canon, the most popular models are selected for the Factory
Certified Program. Equipment recovered and collected from the
field are sent to Canon’s facility where company-trained technicians evaluate each unit using rigorous computerized testing
procedures prior to entering our production process.
Units that qualify are thoroughly inspected and cleaned, with a
prescribed number of parts replaced so as to ensure operation
and quality to Canon standards. Each model is assigned a new
model name and serial number. It may also incorporate new
features and/or functions, and its meter is reset to zero. This
model contains new, refurbished, and/or recovered parts and fully
meets the original equipment’s quality and operational standards.
