Adding the USB3.0 host controller card to an existing
Windows system
Software Installation:
Note:
Install NEC driver first by running the
NECEL-USB3.0-Host-Driver-10170-setup from the CD that came with
your package before installing the host controller.

From the CD start-up menu select Other Controllers. Select Model
#AD2U3PX1.
Install the NECEL-USB3.0-Host-Driver-10170-setup
After driver installation, it is recommended to shutdown your system.

Hardware Installation:

Power off PC and remove its cover.
Select an empty PCI-E slot and insert the USB3.0 host controller.
Makes sure to secure the bracket with a screw. Close the PC cover.
Attach a 15-pin SATA power cable from the system’s power supply to
the 15-pin SATA power connector on the host controller.
Confirming USB3.0 Driver Installation

Right click the My Computer icon and select Manage.
Click Device Manager in the Menu Tree.
Click the “+” sign in front of Universal Serial Bus Controllers. You
should see:
NEC Electronics USB3.0 Host Controller
NEC Electronics USB3.0 Root Hub.
