Duringthefirst year(1), anyelectricalpartsof thisproductfoundto bedefective,including
anysealedsystemunits,will berepairedor
replaced,at warrantor'soption,at no chargeto theORIGINALpurchaser.
Consumableparts(ie. lightbulbs)are notwarrantedor
guaranteedfor any lengthof time.

Duringthenext four years(4)any part ofthe sealedsystemfoundto bedefective(consistingof compressor,condenser,evaporator,

ATTENTION
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
Thisappliancemustbegrounded.Intheeventofan electricalshort
circuit,groundingreducesthe risk d electricalshockby providing
anescapewirefortheelectricalcurrent.Thisapplianceisequipped
witha cordhavinga groundingwirewitha groundingplug.Theplug
must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed
andgrounded.

with a softdry clothand the insidewitha wet,lukewarmcloth. Avoid
placingthe cabinetin a narrowrecessor nearanyheatsource,direct
sunlight,or moisture. Let air circulatefreely around the cabinet.
Keepthe rearof the refrigerator5 inchesawayfromthe wall.
Location
1. Selecta placewith a strong,levelfloor.
2. Allow5 inchesof space betweenthe backof the refrigeratorand
anyadjacentwall.
3. Avoiddirect sunlight and heat. Direct sunlight may affect the
acryliccoating. Heatsourcesnearbywill causehigherelectricity
consumption.
4. Avoidvery moistplaces. Toomuchmoisturein the air will cause
frostto formvery quicklyon the evaporator,and your refrigerator
willhaveto be defrostedmorefrequently.
To avoid vibration,the cabinetmust be set level. This is accomplishedby
adjustingthe (2) frontlevelinglegslocatedunderthe refrigeratorcabinet. To
startthe refrigerator,turn the temperaturecontrol(OFF-MAX)to the position
correspondingto the desiredcooling, ffTg..4)

Defrosting
This refrigeratorisequippedwitha "PushButton"(semi-automatic)
defrostthermostatsystemwhichmeansno needto unplugthe
refrigeratorand no needto changethetemperaturesettingbefore
initiatingthedefrostcycle.
Beforestartingthedefrostcyclemakesure;
1.the defrosttray is properlypositioneddiredly belowthe
freezercompartment.
2.the defrosttray bafflelocatedinsidethe defrosttray (at
rear)is in the openposition.(fullyextended)
Thishelpsto directdefrostwaterrunningoff the backof
thefreezercompartmentintothe defrosttray.
3.the draincap issecurelyattachedto the defrosttray
drain.(undersideofthe tray)
Toactivatethe defrostcycle,simplypush(in)the"red"defrostbutton
locatedin the centerof thecontrolknob/dial.(thereis no needtoturn
the controldial/knobto 0 = off position) Thedefrostcyclestarts
immediately
whenthe red defrostbuttonisactivated(pushed-in)
The
defrostwateraccumulatesinsidethe defrosttray.Whendefrostingis
complete,the "red"defrostbuttonwill release(pop-out)automatically
and resumenormaloperating(cooling)conditions.
Todisposeof the accumulated
waterfromthe defrosttray,position
the clearplasticstoragebin (upperdoorshelf)diredlyunderthe
defrosttraydrainopeningand unscrewthe draincapallowingthe
waterto flowintothecontainer.Replacethedraincapwhenthetray
iscompletelyempty.Disposeofthe defrostwater.
NOTE:If the red pushbutton(defrostcycle)is "accidentally"
activated,itwill not be possibleto "manually"pull-outthe pushbutton
to stopthe defrostcycle.Youmusteitherletthedefrostcyclerun it's
courseor;
1.Apply(hold)a dishclothsoakedin hotwateragainstthethermostat
capillarylineand bracket,locatedonthe undersideofthe freezer
compartment.Theheattransferfromthedishclothwillcausea
temperatureriseon thethermostatcapillary,(sensingline)causing
the internalcontactsof thethermostatto closeandresumenormal
operatingconditions.It maytakeseveralminutesand/orrepeat
applicationsbeforethedefrostbuttonwill release.
Defrostingof yourrefrigeratorshouldtake placewheneverthe ice
build-up(accumulation)
insidethefreezercompartmentreachesa
thicknessof 114"(6ram).Defrostingmaytakea few hours,depending
on the amountof accumulatediceandambientindoortemperature.
Tospeed-upthedefrostingprocess,removeall frozenfoodsfromthe
freezersection.Leavingthe doorpartiallyajar fora shortperiodof
timewill alsoacceleratethe process.
IMPORTANT:
Youmustrememberto closethe refrigeratordoor
beforethedefrostcycleterminatesand normaloperatingconditions
resumeautomatically.

Cleaning
Tocleanthe inside,usea softcloth and a solutionof a
tablespoonof bakingsodato one quartof water,or a mildsoap
sudssolution,or somemilddetergent.Washice cubetray,drip
tray, and glideout shelvesin a milddetergentsolution,thendry
and wipewitha soft cloth. Cleanthe outsidewith a softdamp
clothand somemilddetergentor appliancecleaner.
Vacation Time
Forshortvacationperiods,leavethe controlknobsat their usual
settings. Duringlongerabsences;
(a) removeall foods,
(b) disconnectfrom electricaloutlet,
(c) cleanthe refrigeratorthoroughly,includingdefrostpan,
(d) leavedoor opento avoidpossibleformationsof condensate,
moldor odors.
Power Failure
Mostpowerfailuresare correctedwithinan houror two and will
not affectyour refrigeratortemperatures.However,you should
minimizethe numberof door openingswhilethe poweris off.
Duringpowerfailuresof longerduration,take stepsto protect
yourfoodby placingdry iceon top of packages.

Removeor securelyfastendownall looseitemsinsidethe

inserting

breakage

pushing
down
thebottom
hinge,

bushing

carefully
guide
thetopfreezer
doorhinge
pinintothetophinge
hole.
13.Open
thefreezer
doorandattach
thedoor
spring
tothebracket
located
ontheleft
sideedge
ofthefreezer
door,
