HOW IT WORKS
The skin tissue is composed of the outer layer called
epidermis, and below that is the dermis and hypodermis
that contain fat. The protective membrane in the epidermis
layer can isolate skin from harmful environmental toxins
and substances. At the same time, the protective membrane
hinders skin from absorbing nutritious ingredients. To
enhance our skin’s absorption of nutrition, the principle of
a high-tech, ion-guided technique is marvelous: a galvanic
current connects the device and the human body to make
a complete circuit loop, driving the ionized solution to
penetrate through the skin’s protective membrane, allowing

The mildest impulse current anode (+) and cathode (-)

Operation and Settings
1. P
ress and hold the power button until the device
switches on.
2. P
ress the intensity button to select the desired intensity
level. Green LED indicates low. Red LED indicates high.
3. S elect from the following treatment: detoxify, lifting,
firming, and smoothing. Press once for detoxify, twice
for lifting, three times for firming or four times for
smoothing.
4. Press and hold the power button to switch device off.
Keep in Mind
To ensure the release of ions during treatment, always keep
your finger on the metal plated touch sensor conductor on
the back-side of the device. There is no vibration during the
smoothing phase.
Preparation before Treatment
1. R
emove makeup and thoroughly cleanse skin before
using this device.
2. A
lways apply Activation Serum. The water-based and
ion charged skin care products will help increase the
conductivity of current and maximize effectiveness and
results.

pply more Activation Serum if the skin becomes dry
during treatment.

aily treatment is advised for normal, dry and aged skin.
For sensitive and oily skin types, use the SkinXpert every
3-4 days. If your skin is very sensitive, use the SkinXpert
only once a week.
• As improvements are achieved, you can reduce the amount of usage for continued maintenance.
• We recommend using the SkinXpert both in the morning and at night following the suggested treatment time chart.

o not leave the SkinXpert on sensitive areas such as the
eye contour and mouth for a prolonged period of time.
• I t is perfectly normal to feel a slight tingling sensation
during treatments caused by galvanic & micro-currents.
Adjust intensity level to a comfortable setting.
• To avoid skin irritation, we recommend NOT exposing
treated skin to excessive heat (i.e. blow drying, hot
showers, sauna, steam, tanning) shortly after treatment.

towards the back. Repeat on other side.

and right under the jaw line.

1. What type of results will I see?
Based on both micro current and galvanic technology,
SkinXpert allows you to achieve professional home
spa results in 16 minutes. Its specially designed fourstep-beauty system helps to draw out the impurities
and deliver beneficial ingredients into deep for skin
rejuvenating, wrinkle removal, skin toning and lifting,
more defined jaw line and cheekbone. With prolonged
use, the results are cumulative and enhance and last
longer.
2. How long can I see the results?
Usually it takes at least 2 weeks to see noticeable results.
The results are accumulated; each treatment builds
upon the last. For enhanced results, please use proper
Dermovia skin care products for each step.
3. Do I have to use the four steps for 16 minutes
every time?
You can choose certain treatment step according to
your skin type. To maximize results, it is suggested to
do different treatment times based on the different skin
type you have. You can find the time that correlates to
your skin type in the section “Different Skin Types”.
4. When should I do the treatment, in the
morning or night?
You may do the treatment at anytime that fits your
schedule. SkinXpert acts as an extension of your daily
skincare regimen.
5. Can I do the treatment more than once a
day at home?
A
ny more often than once in a 24 hour period is not
recommended as the muscles need some rest time
between treatments.
6. What kind of products do I need in order to
maximize the effect of SkinXpert?
SkinXpert emits different ions with different polarities
for different treatment step. The main theory is “Like
charges repel each other while the unlike charges attract
each other”. In this case, to maximize the effects, please
use negative charged skin care products. The skin care
products used for the device are suggested to be waterbased, because oil might compromise the conductivity
of the current as a whole.
7. What do I feel during treatment?
During the treatment, a slight tingling may be felt in
certain areas. Facial sensitivity varies from individual
to individual. Please choose proper intensity to your
comfortable level. Then, you can feel the micro-vibration
massage.
8. The device vibrates at a certain frequency level
during treatments. Does the device still work
during the vibration intervals?
e designed the vibration at intervals to save battery

energy. The ions resulted from the gentle current is
continuously working as long as a circuit is formed
between body and the device. A finger has to be placed
on the touch sensor conductor on the back of the device
while the Transmitter is touching the skin.
9. Will the device hurt?
T he current used for SkinXpert is at a gentle frequency
level that has a low output and is safe for use.
10. C
an I use SkinXpert if I have rosacea, acne,
broken capillaries or skin cancer?
S kinXpert can be used be on rosacea, acne and broken
capillaries. We recommend lowering the intensity of
the device to avoid sensitivity. The device should not
be used if you have skin cancer or other severe skin
disorders. Consult your physician before use.
11. How
long will the batteries last?
This depends on your amount of usage and brand of
battery. Only use AAA batteries.
12. Can
we use it with other beauty devices?
Do not use other electrical beauty devices
simultaneously (at the same time) when using
SkinXpert.
Care and Maintenance
• Over time, some spots may appear on the ion function
sensors, but they do not compromise the function or
quality of the SkinXpert.
• The device is not waterproof. Do not place near liquids or
submerge into water. Do not use in the shower.
• After every treatment, wipe the device with a clean and
slightly damp cloth. Do not rinse off under running water.
• Do not clean the device with corrosive chemicals.
• Store the device in a cool, dry place and away from steam
or high-moisture areas.
• Device will malfunction if dropped or damaged by force.
• Replace batteries when device is not performing at an
optimal power level.
• Do not disassemble or reassemble the device.
