IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to persons, basic safety
precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances,
including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE COFFEE GRINDER.
2. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponding to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
3. To protect against electric shock, do not put cord, plugs or motor base in
water or any other liquids.
4. Close adult supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by or
around children.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
6. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning

7. Unplug from outlet when Precision Coffee Grinder is not in use and
before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and
before cleaning the appliance.
8. The use of accessory attachments that are not OSTER® brand may cause
hazards or injuries.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch
hot surfaces.
11.Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a
heated oven.
12. To disconnect, turn unit off, then remove plug from wall outlet.
13. Do not use appliance for other than its intended use.
14. Use on a hard, flat level surface only, to avoid interruption of air flow
underneath the appliance.
15. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
16. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not
remove any service covers. There are no user serviceable parts inside
the coffee grinder. Only authorized personnel should repair the
appliance. Opening the bottom service cover will void the warranty.
DO NOT USE THIS COFFEE GRINDER TO GRIND ANY INGREDIENTS OTHER
THAN COFFEE BEANS.

to use this appliance. Proper care and maintenance will ensure a long life and

Introduction
Thank you for selecting the OSTER® Coffee Grinder with Chamber Maid
Cleaning System, a highly innovative and ergonomically designed, state-of-theart coffee grinder. Your unit can grind whole coffee beans to brew up to 12
cups of coffee.
It has setting indicator lights, an auto off timer, variable grind settings - from
fine to coarse, a dishwasher-safe, fully removable grinding chamber which
includes a no-spill, flip-open lid for easy pouring and filling and a self-cleaning
upper collar with integrated Chamber Maid bowl scrapers, plus discreet cord
storage.
Your new OSTER® Coffee Grinder with Chamber Maid Cleaning System lets you
enjoy the freshest cup of coffee ever.

Before using your Coffee Grinder for the
first time, clean it according to the following
instructions. Then, to ensure optimal Coffee
Grinder function and durability, clean it regularly
following these simple steps.
1. A
lways make sure your Coffee Grinder is
unplugged before cleaning and after use.

2. R emove the Removable Grinding Chamber
from the Base by rotating it counterclockwise
until it stops, then lift it straight up (Figure 1).

ow rotate the Cap Assembly
counterclockwise a full 180 degrees (a full
half circle) until it stops.
4. Lift the Cap Assembly straight up (Figure 2).
5. W
ash Grinding Chamber components with
mild detergent and water. You may also wash
them in your dishwasher’s top rack.

WARNING! Do not put Base in dishwasher. Care
shall be taken during cleaning the Grinding
Chamber, beware of the sharp cutting blade.

nce both components are clean, make sure
they are completely dry before reinstalling
them in the Coffee Grinder.
7. A
lign the arrow on the cap spout with the
cap unlock symbol ( ) on the Grinding
Chamber and insert.
8. R otate the Cap Assembly clockwise until the
cap stops (Figure 3).

9. R einsert the Grinding Chamber into the
Grinder Base and rotate clockwise until it
stops. Be sure the cap spout arrow is aligned
with the cap lock ( ) symbol on the front of
the unit (Figure 4).

USING YOUR OSTER® PRECISION COFFEE GRINDER
The OSTER® Coffee Grinder with Chamber Maid Cleaning System
features 3 grind settings, from fine to coarse. The Coffee Grinder
uses specialized blades to chop the whole beans to a uniform
grind, releasing the unique flavour and aroma of your favorite
coffee. To use:

se the Chamber Maid feature by twisting the cap back
and forth to remove the coffee grounds from the sides
of the Grinding Chamber (Figure 9).
10. G
ently lift the Chamber Lid using the convenient
Finger Tab.
1. Make sure the unit is clean as per the instructions in “Cleaning
and Preparing Your OSTER® Precision Coffee Grinder for Use”.
11. G
ently shake the coffee grounds into your coffee
brewer (Figure 10).
2. Open the Flip Open Lid and fill the Grinding Chamber with
fresh coffee beans, according to the Coffee Measurement
Chart (Figure 5).
For Automatic Drip coffeemakers, use the medium grind
setting, fine for espresso and coarse for French Press
coffeemakers. For best results, do not grind more than
12 tbsp. of coffee at a time.

8. W
hen grinding is complete, remove the Grinding
Chamber from the Base by rotating it counterclockwise
until it stops, then lift it straight up.
NOTE: When unplugged, the Coffee Grinder will revert
to its default setting to grind coffee beans for 12 cups of
coffee using a medium grind. Care shall be taken during
emptying the Grinding Chamber, beware of the sharp
cutting blade.
HELPFUL GRINDING HINTS
You may customize the bean quantity recommendations
presented as you familiarize yourself with your new
OSTER® Coffee Grinder, but always bear in mind the
following:

might be stronger than desired.

5. Press the Grind Setting Button until the indicator light shows
your preferred grind setting (Figure 6).
4. T o brew espresso or cappuccino, grind the amount of coffee grounds
recommended by your product manufacturer.

a. For OSTER® Espresso products:
6. Select the number of cups of coffee you will be brewing with
the Cup Selector, from 4 to 12 cups (Figure 7). To obtain the
best cup of coffee or espresso, grind only the amount of
coffee beans you will use immediately.
1) Set the coffee grinder to Fine grind and 4 cups.

b. U
sing improper medium or coarse coffee grinding settings might affect the taste
of the brewed espresso coffee, because the optimum coffee extraction is not
achieved using the coarse grind setting.
7. Press and hold the Start Button (Figure 8) until the timed
grinding cycle is complete, about 15 seconds for 12 cups.
5. If a coarser setting is required to brew coffee manually, in a percolator or using a
French press, grind the amount of coffee grounds recommended by your product
manufacturer using the coarse grind setting.

settings best meet your personal coffee-making preference.

FOR BEST RESULTS
1. Use only coffee beans in this unit, do not grind nuts or spices.
2. Do not store coffee beans in the Grinding Chamber.
3. Do not use the finest setting when grinding coffee for your automatic drip
coffeemaker. The finer grounds could cause the coffee basket to overflow.
4. To avoid overheating the motor, do not grind more than 2 full 12-cup cycles without
a break. Allow the motor to cool at least 5 minutes between cycles.

SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
If your Coffee Grinder requires service, do not return it to the store where you
purchased it. All repairs and replacements must be made by an authorized Service
Center in India. See following pages for the authorized service centers.
5. Flavored coffee beans may gum up the blades and leave an oily residue on them. Be
sure to clean your Coffee Grinder more frequently when using flavored beans and
to clean all caked-on coffee particles from your Coffee Grinder during cleaning.
6. Clean unit after every use for best performance.
TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR OSTER® PRECISION
COFFEE GRINDER
Your OSTER® Coffee Grinder with Chamber Maid Cleaning System has been carefully
designed to give you many years of trouble-free service. In the unlikely event that
your new coffee grinder does not operate satisfactorily, please review the following
potential problems and try the steps recommended BEFORE you call an Authorized
Service Center.

WARRANTY
Jarden Consumer Solutions of India Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as “JCS”)
warrants that, for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase of this product
as evidenced in the cash memo (“Warranty Period”), this product will be free from
defects in material and workmanship (the “Warranty”). Please preserve the warranty
card and the cash memo of the product duly stamped and signed by the dealer, as
this will be required for any claims under this Warranty.
• The rights and benefits under this Warranty are additional to your statutory rights,
which are not affected by this Warranty.
• During the Warranty Period, JCS, at its sole choice, will either repair or replace
this product or any component of the product found to be defective free of cost
through (the dealer from whom the product was purchased or through the service
center listed in the card – business people to confirm), provided that:
- JCS is promptly informed of the defect;
-The product has not been altered in any way or subjected to misuse or repair
by the person other than a person authorized by JCS;
- This Warranty, duly filled, stamped and signed by the dealer is made available.
• The Warranty provided herein is towards the original purchaser and is not
transferrable to any third party.
• Any repaired or replaced product will be warranted on these terms for the
remaining portion of the Warranty in the country where the product was
purchased.
• Liability for consequential loss or damage is neither accepted nor is it implied.
• This Warranty is in lieu of all others expressed or implied and does not cover the
following:
a. If product was use in any manner other than the intended use.
b.If the product has not been used according to the instruction manual/user’s
manual, included with the product.
c. If the defects are caused by improper use or reckless use.
d.If the product was altered or repaired by anyone other than those authorized
by JCS.
e. If installation of the product is not done as per the printed instructions
provided along with the product.
f.If the defects are caused by fire, flood, and other act of god.
g. If the defects are caused by use of incorrect current or voltage or faulty electric
power supply.
h. Normal wear and tear of parts and accessories resulting from regular use.
i.Damage resulting from transportation, accidents, mishandling or negligence on
the part of the consumer.
j.The following part/components:
-Broken glass or ceramic parts
- Light bulb
- Accessories
k. If the product is put to industrial or commercial use.
• JCS will not be responsible for any delay in servicing due to non-availability of
any components or due to reasons beyond the control of JCS.
• Any failure of the product to perform any purpose other than the intended
purpose shall not be considered as a default under this warranty.
• In any event, if JCS becomes liable for damages incurred in connection with
these presents, then the liability of JCS will be limited to the amount equal to
the sale invoice amount paid by you.
Waste electrical products should not be disposed off with household waste. Please
recycle where facilities exist.
