PRISMA - the new system for applications to
VR and Forte
You might have heard about the new system Prisma? It was
developed by Vetenskapsrådet (VR), and should be used for all
funding applications to VR and Forte. The system was launched in
October 2014 through a smaller pilot call, and from now on PRISMA
will be used for all applications to these research funding bodies.
At a later stage, the system will also be used to manage granted funds,
mainly for scientific and economic reporting.
Prisma is intended to facilitate the application work. After having
registered your profile in Prisma, including your CV and publications,
you will be able to reuse this information later on, for other
applications. At any time, you can complete your profile, e.g. with new
publications. For each application you select from your profile which
parts of the CV and which publications you want to include.
Prisma is available directly via https://prisma.research.se or from the
websites of VR and Forte.
The information below is provided as an overview;
for detailed instructions, please refer to the User manual (see below,
Information and support for PRISMA).
Registration in PRISMA
PRISMA is available here: https://prisma.research.se/
First, you need to Create your personal account (top right); you will be
asked to provide your ORCID personal researcher ID, or to create one (you
can also search on http://orcid.org/ if you don't remember your ORCID).
ORCID is mandatory in PRISMA.
Then, you will be able to log into PRISMA by using Login with SWAMID,
using your usual MDH credentials.
Create your profile in PRISMA
When you have your personal account in PRISMA, you need to create your
profile containing personal data, cv and publications. The information
needs to be registered in PRISMA (there is no possibility to upload pdfs or
similar); this will take a while to prepare, and therefore it needs to be done
1 (2)
well in time before your funding application.
>> Please observe that participating researchers must also create a personal
account and profile in Prisma, and also agree to his or her participation in
the project before the final day of application.
PRISMA is still under development, e.g. related to the publications search which is
not always complete; in that case you need to add missing publications manually.
According to the PRISMA Support, this problem will be resolved in the beginning of
2015.
Funding application through PRISMA
When a call is open, it is available within PRISMA under the tag Application
and Grants. You create your application there. MDH is approved as an
administrating organisation and has an organisation account in PRISMA. As
you have logged in to PRISMA using SWAMID and the MDH credentials,
your application is automatically linked to MDH.
Information and support for PRISMA
A User manual and also a Quick guide, are available from all
PRISMA webpages; top right under Help.
