TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Keep away open flames and do not smoke while checking or working on the fuel system.
1. Fuel
Check the fuel level in
the fuel tank.
Check the compression.
Operate the electric
starter.
There is no fuel.
Supply fuel.
There is compression.
Check the ignition.
There is no compression.
Have a dealer check the
vehicle.
The engine does not start.
Check the compression.
2.Compression
Operate the electric
starter.
3.Ignition
Remove the spark plug
and check the electrodes.
4.Battery
Operate the electric
starter.
Wet
Dry
Wipe off with a dry cloth and correct the
spark plug gaps, or replace the spark
plug.
Have a dealer check the
vehicle.
Operate the electric starter.
The engine does not start.
Check the battery.
The engine turns over quickly.
The battery is good.
The engine turns over slowly.
Check the battery lead connections,
and charge the battery if necessary.
