If the cutting deck appears to be mowing unevenly,a side to side
adjustment can be performed. Adjust if necessary as follows:

the ball joints are being replaced due to damage or wear, the
steering drag links may need to be adjusted.

deck lift lever in the middle position and rotate both blades
so that they are perpendicular with the tractor.
Measure the distance from the outside of the left blade
tip to the ground and the distance from the outside of the
right blade tip to the ground. Both measurements taken
should be equal. If they're not, proceed to the next step.
Adjust the drag links so that equal lengths of each are threaded
into the ball joint on the left side and the ball joint on the right
side:

Remove the hex nut on the top of ball joint. See Fig. 6-7.
Loosen, but do NOT remove, the hex bolt on the left deck
hanger bracket. See Fig. 6-6.

The deck is properly leveled when both blade tip measurements
taken earlier are equal. Retighten the hex bolt on the left deck
hanger bracket when proper adjustment is achieved.
Front tire toe-in can be measured as follows:

If the tractor does not come to a complete stop when the brake
pedal is completely depressed, or if the tractor's rear wheels can
roll with the parking brake applied (and the hydrostatic relief
valve open), the brake is in need of adjustment. Seeyour Cub
Cadet dealer to have the brake properly adjusted.

Behind the axle, measure the distance horizontally from
the inside of the left rim to the inside of the right rim. Note
the distance.

EMISSIONS WARRANTY
COVERAGE:
MTDConsumerGroupIncwarrantsto the ultimatepurchaserand eachsubsequentpurchaserthat the lawnmoweris: Designed,built andequippedso as to
conformwithall applicableregulations;andfree from defects in materialsandworkmanshipthatcausethe failureof a warrantedpart to be identicalinall material
respectsto that part as describedin MTDConsumerGroupInc's applicationfor certification.
The warrantyperiodbeginson the date the lawnmoweris deliveredto an ultimatepurchaseror first placedinto service.The warrantyperiodis two years.
Subjectto certain conditionsand exclusionsasstated below,the warrantyon emission-relatedparts is asfollows:
1. Any warrantedpart that is not scheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenancein the written instructionssupplied,is warrantedforthe warrantyperiod
statedabove. Ifthe part fails duringthe periodof warrantycoverage,the part will be repairedor replacedbyMTDConsumerGroupInc accordingto subsection
(4) below. Anysuch part repairedor replacedunderwarrantywill be warrantedfor the remainderof the period.
2. Any warrantedpart that is scheduledonly for regularinspectionin the writteninstructionssupplied is warrantedforthe warrantyperiodstatedabove.Any such
part repairedor replacedunderwarrantywill be warrantedforthe remainingwarrantyperiod.
3. Any warrantedpart that is scheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenancein the written instructionssuppliedis warrantedfor the periodof time beforethe
first scheduledreplacementdatefor that part. If the partfails beforethe first scheduledreplacement,the part will be repairedor replacedby MTDConsumer
GroupInc accordingto subsection(4) below.Any such part repairedor replacedunderwarrantywill be warrantedfor the remainderof the periodprior to the
first scheduledreplacementpointforthe part.
4. Repairor replacementof any warrantedpart underthe warrantyprovisionshereinmustbe performedat a warrantystationat no chargeto the owner.
5. Notwithstandingthe provisionsherein,warrantyservicesor repairswill be providedat all of our distributioncentersthatare franchisedto servicethe subject
enginesor equipment.
6. The lawnmowerowner will not be chargedfor diagnosticlaborthat is directly associatedwith diagnosisof a defective,emission-relatedwarrantedpart,
providedthat such diagnosticwork is performedat a warrantystation.
7. MTDConsumerGroupInc is liablefor damagesto otherengine or equipmentcomponentsproximatelycausedby a failure underwarrantyof any warranted
part.
8. Throughoutthe lawnmowerwarrantyperiodstatedabove, MTDConsumerGroupIncwill maintaina supply of warrantedparts sufficientto meetthe expected
demandfor such parts.
9. Any replacementpart may be usedinthe performanceof any warrantymaintenanceor repairsand mustbe providedwithoutchargeto the owner.Suchuse will
not reducethe warrantyobligationsof MTDConsumerGroupInc.
10. Add-onor modifiedpartsthat are not exemptedbythe Air ResourcesBoardmay not be used.The use of any non-exemptedadd-on or modifiedparts by the
ultimatepurchaserwill be groundsfor disallowinga warrantyclaims. MTDConsumerGroup Incwill not be liable to warrantfailuresof warrantedpartscaused
bythe use of a non-exemptedadd-onor modifiedpart.
WARRANTED
PARTS:
The repairor replacementof any warrantedpart otherwiseeligiblefor warrantycoveragemay be excludedfrom such warrantycoverageif MTDConsumerGroup
Inc demonstratesthatthe lawn mowerhas been abused,neglected,or improperlymaintained,andthat such abuse,neglect, or impropermaintenancewasthe
directcauseof the needfor repairor replacementof the part. That notwithstanding,any adjustmentof a componentthat has a factory installed,and properly
operating,adjustmentlimitingdevice is still eligiblefor warrantycoverage. The following emissionwarrantyparts are covered:

The limited warranty set forth below is given by Cub Cadet LLC with
respect to new merchandise purchased or leased and used in the United
States and/or its territories and possessions, and by MTD Products
Limited with respect to new merchandise purchased or leased and
used in Canadaand/or its territories and possessions (either entity
respectively, "Cub Cadet").

Cub Cadet warrants this product (excluding its Normal WearParts,
Batteries,Frameand FrontAxle andAttachmentsas described below)
against defects in material and workmanship for a period of three (3)
years or one hundred twenty (120) operation hours, whichever comes
first, commencing on the date of original retail purchase or lease and
will, at its option, repair or replace, free of charge, any part found to be
defective in materials or workmanship.
Normal WearPartsare warranted to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of original
purchase or lease. Normal wear parts include, but are not limited to
items such as: belts, blades, blade adapters, grass bags, rider deck
wheels, seats, and tires.
Batterieshavea one-year prorated limited warranty against defects in
material and workmanship, with 100% replacement during the first three
months. After three months, the battery replacement credit is based on
the months remaining in the twelve (12) month period dating back to the
original date of original sale or lease.Any replacement battery will be
warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period.
Frameand FrontAxle--Cub Cadet warrants the frame, and front cast iron
pivot axle against defects in material and workmanship for a period of
five (5) years or 500 hours, whichever occurs first, commencing on the
date of original purchase or lease.
Attachments-- Cub Cadet warrants attachments for this product against
defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years,
commencing on the date of the attachment's original purchase or
lease. Attachments include, but are not limited to items such as: grass
collectors and mulch kits.
This limited warranty shall only apply if this product has been operated
and maintained in accordance with the Operator's Manual furnished
with the product, and has not been subject to misuse, abuse, neglect,
accident, improper maintenance, alteration, vandalism, theft, fire, water,
or damage because of other peril or natural disaster. Damage resulting
from the installation or use of any part, accessory or attachment not
approved by Cub Cadet for use with the product(s) covered by this
manual will void your warranty as to any resulting damage. In addition,
Cub Cadet may deny warranty coverage if the hour meter, or any part
thereof, is altered, modified, disconnected or otherwise tampered with.
HOWTO OBTAINSERVICE:Warranty service is available, WITH PROOF
OF PURCHASEAND APPLICABLE MAINTENANCERECORDS,through
your local authorized service dealer. To locate the dealer in your area:
Without limiting the foregoing, this limited warranty does not provide
coverage in the following cases:
a. Routine maintenance items such as lubricants, filters, blade
sharpening, tune-ups, brake adjustments, clutch adjustments, deck
adjustments, and normal deterioration of the exterior finish due to
use or exposure.
b. Service completed by someone other than an authorized service
dealer.
c. Cub Cadet does not extend any warranty for products sold or
exported outside of the United States and/or Canada,and their
respective possessions and territories, except those sold through
Cub Cadet's authorized channels of export distribution.
d. Replacement parts and\or accessories that are not genuine Cub
Cadet parts.
e. Transportation charges and service calls.
There are no impJiedwarranties, incJudingwithout Jimitation any
implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular
purpose. No warranties shall apply after the applicable period of
express written warranty above. No other express warranties beyond
those mentioned above, given by any person or entity, including a
dealer or retailer, with respect to any product, shall bind Cub Cadet.
The exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of the productas
set forth above. The terms of this warranty provide the sole and
exclusive remedy arising from the sale and/or lease of the products
covered hereby. Cub Cadet shall not be liable for any incidental or
consequential loss or damage including, without limitation, expenses
incurred for substitute or replacement lawn care services or for rental
expenses to temporarily replace a warranted product.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental
or consequential damages, or limitations on how long an implied
warranty lasts, so the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to
you.
In no event shall recovery of any kind be greater than the amount of the
purchase price of the product sold. Alterationof safety features of the
product shall void this warranty. You assume the risk and liability for
loss, damage, or injury to you and your property and/or to others and
their property arising out of the misuse or inability to use the product.
This limited warranty shall not extend to anyone other than the original

El Departamento de los Recursos de Aire de California y MTD Consumer Group Inc, se complacen en explicar la garanfia del sistema de control de emisiones por
evaporaci6n de su cortadora de cesped 2008. En California, las nuevas m_.quinaspara cortar cesped se deben diseRar, construir y equipar de modo de cumplir con las
rigurosas normas contra la poluci6n del estado. MTD Consumer Group Inc debe garantizar el sistema de control de emisiones por evaporaci6n (EECS) de su cortadora de
cesped por el pefiodo de tiempo indicado m_tsabajo, siempre y cuando no exista uso incorrecto, negligencia o mantenimiento inadecuado de dicha maquina.
El sistema EECS puede incluir piezas tales como el carburador, el sistema de inyecci6n a combustible, el sistema de encendido, el convertidor catalftico, los dep6sitos de
combustible, las Ifneas de combustible, los tapones de combustible, las v_tlvulas, contenedores, filtros, mangueras de vapor, abrazaderas, conectores y otros componentes
afines relacionados con las emisiones.
Donde exista una condici6n cubierta pot la garantia, MTD Consumer Group Inc reparara su cortadora de cesped sin costo alguno incluyendo el diagn6stico,
las piezas y la mano de obra.

SEGON
LA GARANTJA
En su car_.cterde propietario de la cortadora de cesped, usted es responsable del mantenimiento requerido que se especifica en el manual del propietario. MTD Consumer
Group Inc le recomienda que conserve todos los recibos que cubren el mantenimiento de su cortadora de cesped, no obstante Io cual MTD Consumer Group Inc no podr_t
denegar el cumplimiento de la garanfia Qnicamentepor la falta de los recibos.
Como propietario de la cortadora de cesped, usted debe saber que MTD Consumer Group Inc puede denegar la cobertura de la garanfia si su cortadora de cesped o una
pieza de la misma fallan debido a uso incorrecto, negligencia, mantenimiento indebido o a modificaciones no aprobadas.
Usted es responsable de presentar la cortadora de cesped al centro de distribuci6n o de mantenimiento de MTD Consumer Group Inc tan pronto como apareciera el problema. Las reparaciones cubiertas por la garanfia se deben Ilevar a cabo en un lapso razonable que no exceda de 30 dfas. Si desea realizar alguna consulta con respecto a

COBERTURA
DE LA GARANTJA
DE EMISIONES
GENERALES:
MTD Consumer Group Inc garantiza al comprador final y a cada comprador subsiguiente que la cortadora de cesped: est,. diseSada, construida y equipada de modo de
cumplir con todas las regulaciones aplicables y que se encuentra libre de defectos de materiales y de fabricaci6n que pudieren causar la falla de una pieza garantizada
identica en todos los aspectos materiales a la pieza descripta en la solicitud de certificaci6n de MTD Consumer Group Inc.
El pefiodo de garanfia comienza en la fecha de entrega de la cortadora al comprador final o en la fecha en que la m_.quinase pone en funcionamiento por primera vez. El
periodo de garanfia es de dos arcs. Sujeto a ciertas condiciones y exclusiones que se indican a continuaci6n, la garantia de las piezas relacionadas con las emisiones es
la siguiente:
1.
Cualquier pieza garantizada que no este programada para ser reemplazada como parte del mantenimiento requerido en las instrucciones escritas suministradas se
garantiza por el periodo de garantia arriba mencionado. Si la pieza falla durante el periodo de cobertura de la garanfia, la misma ser_.reparada o reemplazada por
MTD Consumer Group Inc de acuerdo con el p_.rrafo (4) a continuaci6n. Cualquier pieza reparada o reemplazada segOnla garantia se garantizar_,por el resto del
periodo de garanfia.
2.
Cualquier pieza garantizada que este programada solamente para inspecci6n regular en las instrucciones escritas suministradas se garantiza por el periodo de
garanfia arriba mencionado. Cualquier pieza reparada o reemplazada segOn la garanfia se garantizar_, por el resto del periodo.
3.
Cualquier pieza garantizada que este programada para reemplazo segOnel mantenimiento requerido de conformidad con las instrucciones escritas suministradas,
se garantiza por el periodo de tiempo anterior a la primera fecha de reemplazo programada para esa pieza. Si la pieza falla antes del primer reemplazo programado,
la misma ser_.reparada o reemplazada por MTD Consumer Group Inc de acuerdo con el p_.rrafo(4) a continuaci6n. Cualquier pieza reparada o reemplazada bajo
garanfia se garantizar_, por el resto del periodo anterior al primer reemplazo programado puntual para esa pieza.
4.
La reparaci6n o el reemplazo de cualquier pieza garantizada de conformidad con las disposiciones de la garanfia que aqui se estipula se debe realizar en un centro
de servicio tecnico sin costo alguno para el propietario.
5.
No obstante las disposiciones que aqui se estipulan, los servicios o reparaciones bajo garanfia se suministrar_.nen todos nuestros centros de distribuci6n bajo
franquicia de mantenimiento para los motores o equipo en cuesti6n.
6.
El propietario de la cortadora de cesped no deber_,pagar el trabajo de diagn6stico directamente asociado con una pieza garantizada defectuosa en relaci6n con las
emisiones, siempre y cuando dicho trabajo de diagn6stico se realice en un centro cubierto por la garantia.
7.
MTD Consumer Group Inc es responsable por daRos causados a otros componentes de motores o equipo derivados de la falla bajo garanfia de cualquier pieza
garantizada.
8.
Durante la totalidad del periodo de garanfia arriba mencionado, MTD Consumer Group Inc mantendr_,un suministro de piezas bajo garanfia suficiente para satisfacer
la demanda esperada de tales piezas.
9.
Cualquier pieza de reemplazo se podr_, usar para el cumplimiento del mantenimiento bajo garantia o las reparaciones se suministrar_.n sin cargo para el propietario.
Dicho uso no reducir_,las obligaciones de garanfia de MTD Consumer Group Inc.
