SAS-SAR
Technical description
These units, also referred to as “mini-conditioners“, consist of a wall-mounted single block installed on
the cold room wall. They are particularly suitable for preserving dressed pork products and for small
cold rooms.
The units can also be used, taking suitable measures, when control of temperature and humidity conditions
is required.
A bi-block version is available for the cases when a single block can not be installed; here particular
attention shall be paid to connections between condensing unit and evaporator (max recommended distance:
10 meters).
Air distribution takes place without any ducts, but by means of a grid equipped with fins with horizontal
and vertical adjustment. Air delivery ducts can be supplied on request.
Uniblock SAS units can be used for drying and ripening dressed pork products, while Uniblock SAR
units are employed in ham after-salting period.
The operating conditions of uniblock SAS include cold room temperatures varying from +10°C to +20/25°C
and humidity up to 60% approx. The operating conditions of uniblock SAR include cold room temperatures
varying from +2°C to +4°C and humidity up to 40% approx.
The body is mainly built in galvanized epoxy-painted sheet steel, with removable panels allowing an easy
access to internal components.
The units are equipped with:
- hermetic compressors refrigerated by in-taken gas, complete with total motor protection.
- heat-exchange system, condenser, evaporator, heat recovery in copper pipe and aluminium
fins.
- expansion capillary tube (for SAS series), thermostatic valve (for SAR series and SAS bi-block version).
- electronic speed regulator (pressure switch for model 221) for condenser fans to obtain
a steady condensation temperature.
- automatic evaporation of condensation water, so that no drain pipes or external collecting
systems are required
(models 235 - 335 - 340 excluded, where condensate is not collected ).
- control panel including switches, warning lights and electronic control box MICROSYSTEM to control
temperature and humidity and to adjust operating and standstill times. The mini-conditioner SAS can
work both as a seasoning and drying unit by setting the electronic control box accordingly.
- heating system by means of electric resistances.
- humidifying system based on heating water supplied by water system.
- hot gas defrosting (standard for SAR series)
- psychrometer to be placed in cold room for an additional check of temperature and humidity.
Optionals:
- water condensation
- hot gas defrosting (for SAS series)
- cataphoresis protection on heat-exchange system (evaporator and heat recovery) to
prevent any possible corrosion due to particular environmental conditions or products
(example: salt air)
- air change: air extraction system directly controlled by MICROSYSTEM control box, consisting of a
suction fan, a protection grid and an air lock equipped with flap.
- remote control panel.

Apply silicone on the upper side before positioning the unit.
-Injecter de la silicone sur tout le périmètre du tampon.
Sur la partie supérieure injecter avant de fixer l’Uniblock.
-Silikon auf den ganzen Öffnungsumfang einspritzen.
Bevor der Uniblock eingebaut wird, dieses Verfahren auf der Oberseite ausführen.
-Inyectar silicona sobre todo el perimetro del agujero.
Sobre la parte superior se coloca antes de situar el Uniblock.
