Wasserleitung angeschlossene Eisbereiter bzw.
Wasserspender dürfen nur mit Trinkwasser

• Das Kühlabteil nur zur Lagerung frischer
Lebensmittel und das Gefrierabteil nur zur
Lagerung von Tiefkühlware, zum Einfrieren
frischer Lebensmittel und zum Herstellen von
Eiswürfeln verwenden.
• Keine Glasbehälter mit flüssigem Inhalt in das
Gefrierabteil stellen, da diese platzen können.
Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Haftung bei

PFLEGE UND REINIGUNG
Das Gerät regelmäßig mit einem Schwammtuch
und einer Lösung aus lauwarmem Wasser und
einem spezifisch für die Reinigung von
Kühlschränken geeigneten neutralen
Reinigungsmittel säubern.
Niemals Spül- oder Scheuermittel verwenden. Die
einzelnen Geräteteile niemals mit brennbaren
Flüssigkeiten reinigen. Durch die ausströmenden
Dämpfe bestände Brand- oder Explosionsgefahr.
Die Außenflächen des Gerätes und die Türdichtung
feucht abwischen und mit einem weichen Tuch
trocken reiben.
Keine Dampfreiniger verwenden.
Den Kondensator regelmäßig mit dem Staubsauger
reinigen wie nachfolgend beschrieben. Zum
besseren Zugang zunächst die
Frontsockelverkleidung abnehmen (siehe
Installationsanleitung) und den Kondensator
reinigen.
Bitte beachten:
- Die Tasten und das Display des Bedienfeldes
dürfen nicht mit alkoholischen Produkten oder
Derivaten gereinigt werden, sondern
ausschließlich mit einem trockenen Tuch.
- Die Rohre des Kühlsystems verlaufen in der
Nähe der Abtauschale und können heiß
werden. Die Rohre regelmäßig mit einem
Staubsauger reinigen.

Kurze Abwesenheit
Bei Abwesenheit von weniger als drei Wochen
braucht das Gerät nicht vom Stromnetz getrennt zu
werden. Alle verderblichen Lebensmittel
verbrauchen und die anderen einfrieren.
Besitzt das Gerät einen Eiswürfelautomat,

Kunststoffkeil mit Klebestreifen befestigen, damit
die Türen offen bleiben und für eine ausreichende
Luftzirkulation in beiden Räumen gesorgt ist.
Dadurch wird die Bildung von Schimmel oder
unangenehmen Gerüchen vermieden.
Transport
1. Alle beweglichen Geräteteile herausnehmen,
2. gut verpacken und mit Klebeband
zusammenhalten, damit sie nicht verloren gehen
oder gegeneinander schlagen.
3. Die verstellbaren Füße eindrehen, damit sie die
Abstellfläche nicht berühren.
4. Beide Türen schließen, mit Klebeband versiegeln
und das Netzkabel ebenfalls am Gerät ankleben.
Unterbrechung der Stromversorgung
Erkundigen Sie sich bei Stromausfall bei der
Ortsniederlassung des Stromlieferanten, wie lange
die Unterbrechung voraussichtlich dauern wird.
Anmerkung: Ein voll gefülltes Gerät hält die
Kühltemperatur länger als ein nur halb gefülltes
aufrecht.
Lebensmittel, auf denen nach dem Stromausfall
noch Eiskristalle sichtbar sind, lassen sich ohne
Risiko wieder einfrieren, obwohl Geschmack und
Aroma gelitten haben könnten.
Nahrungsmittel in schlechtem Zustand am besten
entsorgen.
Bei Stromausfällen von maximal 24 Stunden.

- Vermeiden, dass das Gerät andere Möbel
berührt.
- Die korrekte Installation der internen
Komponenten überprüfen.
- Dafür sorgen, dass Flaschen und Behälter sich
nicht berühren.

• Die Laufzeit des Kompressors hängt von
verschiedenen Umständen ab: Häufigkeit des
Türöffnens, gelagerte Lebensmittelmenge,
Raumtemperatur, Einstellung des
Temperaturreglers.
Die Temperatur im Gerät ist zu hoch:
• Sind die Geräteregler richtig eingestellt?
• Wurden vor kurzem größere Mengen frischer
Lebensmittel in das Gerät eingelagert?
• Ein zu häufiges Öffnen der Türen vermeiden.
• Sicherstellen, dass die Türen einwandfrei
schließen.
• Sicherstellen, dass die Belüftungsöffnungen im
Abteil nicht verdeckt sind, sonst kann die kalte
Luft nicht zirkulieren.
Bei Feuchtigkeitsbildung:
• Sicherstellen, dass die Belüftungsöffnungen im

Eisautomat richtig positioniert sind.
• Sicherstellen, dass die Türdichtungen nicht
verschmutzt oder klebrig sind.
• Sicherstellen, dass das Gerät ebenerdig steht.

Bevor Sie den Kundendienst rufen:
Schalten Sie das Gerät nochmals ein, um zu prüfen,
ob die Störung immer noch vorliegt. Haben Sie
keinen Erfolg, schalten Sie das Gerät aus und
wiederholen Sie den Versuch nach einer Stunde.
Arbeitet das Gerät trotz vorgenannter Kontrollen
und nach dem Neueinschalten des Gerätes
weiterhin nicht korrekt, setzen Sie sich bitte mit
dem Kundendienst in Verbindung und beschreiben
Sie die Störung.
Geben Sie bitte folgendes an:
• Modell und Seriennummer des Gerätes (siehe
Typenschild),
• Art der Störung,

adhesive tape so that they do not bang together
or get lost.
3. Screw the adjustable feet so that they do not
touch the support surface.
4. Close and fix both doors with adhesive tape and,
again using adhesive tape, fix the power cable to
the appliance.
Power failure
In the event of a power failure, call the local office of
your electricity supply company and ask how long it is
going to last. Note: Bear in mind that a full appliance
will stay cold longer than a partially filled one.
If ice crystals are still visible on the food, it may be
frozen again, although flavour and aroma may be
affected.
If food is found to be in a poor condition, it is best
to throw it away.

Performance problems often result from little
things you can find and fix yourself without tools of
any kind.
Noises coming from your appliances are
normal since it has a number of fans and
engines to regulate performances that switch
on and off automatically.
Some of the functional noises can be reduced
through
- Levelling the appliance and installing it on an
even surface
- Separating and avoiding contact between the
appliance and furniture.
- Checking if the internal components are
correctly placed.
- Checking if bottles and containers are not in
contact with each other.
Some of the functional noises you might hear:
A hissing sound when switching on the
appliance for the first time or after a long
pause.
A gurgling sound when refrigerant fluid enters
into the pipes.
Buzzing sound when water valve or fan start
working.
A cracking sound when compressor starts or
when ready ice drops into ice box Abrupt
clicks when compressor switches on and off.
Automatic Ice maker noises (on some
models):
- Since your appliance has an automatic ice
maker, you may hear buzzing (from the water
valve), trickling water and the clatter of the ice

• Have you checked the protection devices and

Fuse replacement
If the mains lead of this appliance is fitted with a BS
1363A 13amp fused plug, to change a fuse in this
type of plug use an A.S.T.A. approved fuse to BS
1362 type and proceed as follows:
1. Remove the fuse cover (A) and
fuse (B).
2. Fit replacement 13A fuse into
fuse cover.
3. Refit both into plug.
Important:
The fuse cover must be refitted
when changing a fuse and if the fuse
cover is lost the plug must not be
used until a correct replacement is fitted.
Correct replacement are identified by the colour
insert or the colour embossed in words on the base
of the plug.
Replacement fuse covers are available from your
local electrical store.
2) For the Republic of Ireland only
The information given in respect of Great Britain
will frequently apply, but a third type of plug and
socket is also used, the 2-pin, side earth type.
3) Socket outlet / plug (valid for both countries)
If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket
outlet, please contact Whirlpool Service for further
instruction. Please do not attempt to change plug
yourself. This procedure needs to be carried out by
a qualified Whirlpool technician in compliance with

OFF, i.e. in the horizontal position (on some

automatic ice maker?
• Is there a water filter installed on the appliance
(on some models)? This filter may be clogged or
installed incorrectly. First, check the filter
installation instructions to ensure that the filter
was installed correctly and is not clogged. If
installation or clogging is not a problem, call a
qualified person or a technician.
If there is water in the defrost pan:
• This is normal in hot, damp weather. The pan can
even be half full. Make sure the appliance is level
so that the water does not overflow
If the edges of the appliance cabinet, which
come in contact with the door seal, are warm
to the touch:
• This is normal in hot weather and when the
compressor is running.
If the light does not work:
• Have you checked the protection devices and
fuses of the electrical system in your home?

In the case of burnt-out bulbs:
1. Always unplug the appliance from the mains.

If the motor seems to run too much:
• Is the condenser free of dust and fluff?
• Are the doors properly closed?
• Are the door seals properly fitted?
• On hot days or if the room is warm, the motor
naturally runs longer.
• If the appliance door has been left open for a
while or if large amounts of food have been
stored, the motor will run longer in order to cool
down the interior of the appliance.
• Motor running time depends on different things:

de glace, c’est pourquoi vous pourrez entendre
un bourdonnement (émis par l’électrovanne), le
bruit de l’eau qui s’écoule et le bruit sec de la
glace tombant dans le récipient.
L’appareil ne fonctionne pas :
• Le réfrigérateur est-il bien branché à une prise
secteur alimentée par le voltage adéquat ?
• Les fusibles de l’installation électrique sont-ils en
bon état de fonctionnement ?
Le distributeur de glace ne fonctionne pas (sur
certains modèles) :
• Le congélateur a-t-il eu suffisamment de temps pour
refroidir ? Pour un réfrigérateur neuf, cela peut
prendre toute la nuit.
• La touche ON/OFF du système de production de
glaçons est-elle sur la position ON ?
• Vérifiez que le levier du distributeur de glace
automatique situé à l’intérieur du congélateur ne se
trouve pas en position OFF, à savoir en position
horizontale (sur certains modèles).
• L’électrovanne est-elle bien enclenchée ? L’eau
arrive-t-elle jusqu’au distributeur de glace ?
• Un filtre à eau est-il installé sur votre réfrigérateur
(sur certains modèles) ? Le filtre peut être obstrué
ou installé de manière incorrecte. Vérifiez d’abord
les instructions relatives à l’installation du filtre pour
vous assurer que le filtre a été installé correctement
et n’est pas bouché. Si le problème ne dépend pas
de l’installation ou d’une obstruction, appelez une
personne qualifiée ou un technicien.
