Before using the worklight & torch, be sure to read these instructions thoroughly. In doing so you will ensure the safety of yourself and of others around you, and you can look forward to the product giving you long and satisfactory service. GUARANTEE This CLARKE product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase. This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or tampered with in any way, or not used for its intended purpose. Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can be returned to us without prior permission. This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights. CONTENTS 1 x Extendable Torch with ‘Worklight’ & ‘Torch’ modes. 1 x AC Mains Adaptor/Charger Assembly. 1 x 12 Volt DC Charging Adaptor (Car lighter plug type) IN USE TORCH MODE Press the on/off button to switch on the ‘Torch’ mode using 6 LEDs. • Up to 12 hours of light can be obtained in ‘Torch’ mode. WORKLIGHT MODE Extend the body of the torch to illuminate the 30 LED ‘Worklight’ array. • Up to 3 hours of light can be obtained in Worklight mode. Allow approximately 1 hour to re-charge the batteries after use. Use the magnetic base to position the worklight during use. Never shine the light directly into anyones eyes, including animals. BATTERY CHARGING AND CARE 1. Always use only the charging adaptors supplied. The mains charger is for indoor use only. The worklight should only be re-charged when in its closed mode and with the torch switched off. Never turn the light on while charging as this may damage the unit. 2. When charging a low battery using the adaptor/charger, the LED beside the charging jack will initially illuminate Red, before changing to Green when charging is completed. Failure to do so will lead to reduced performance of the worklight and to premature battery failure. Note that the batteries cannot be replaced. 4. If you plan to store the worklight (e.g. for emergencies), we recommend that the battery is fully charged before doing so, this will ensure the longest possible battery life. 5. Never abuse the charger cable or yank the cable to disconnect it. Keep the cable away from sharp edges/hot surfaces. AC CHARGING 1. Plug the AC charging adaptor into the charging jack near the base of the worklight. 2. Connect the other end of the AC charger to the mains power supply and charge for at approximately 1 hour. • The worklight must NOT be operated when using the AC charger. DC CHARGING 1. Plug the DC charging adaptor into the charging jack near the base of the worklight. 2. Connect the other end of the DC charger to the vehicle cigarette lighter socket and charge for approximately one hour. CLEANING To keep your worklight clean, wipe with a damp cloth only, DO NOT use detergents, chemicals or harmful abrasives. Never immerse in water. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Do not dispose of this product with general household waste. All tools, accessories & packaging should be taken to a recycling centre & disposed of according to the laws governing Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment.
