Whentheservicedisconnectingmeanscannotbelocked,
securelyfastenaprominentwarningdevice,suchasatag,
totheservicepanel.
3. Installationworkandelectricalwiringmustbedonebya
qualifiedperson(s)inaccordancewithallapplicablecodes
andstandards,includingfire-ratedconstructioncodesand
standards.
4. Makesureallwireconnectionsaresecure,andthatthere
arenoexposedconductorstrands.
5. Attention:TheEnergyPolicyActof2005requiresthislight
kittobeequippedwitha190wattlimitingdevice.Iflamping
exceeds 190 watts, the ceiling fan’s light kit will shut off
automatically.
6. Donotusewaterordetergentswhencleaningthelightkit.
Adrydustclothorlightlydampenedclothwillbesuitable
formostcleaning.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock,
this light kit should be used only with these fan models
manufactured by Broan-NuTone LLC: CFS52WH, CFS52PB,
CFS52BS, CFS52RB, CFH52WH, CFH52PB, CFH52BS,
CFH52RB, CFC56WH, CFC56BR.
NOTE: Before starting installation, disconnect the power by
turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse at fuse
box. Turning power off using the fan switch is not sufficient
to prevent electric shock.
1. Removethescrewsfromtheswitchcupplatetoalloweasy
wiring.(Fig.1)
2. Removeanddiscardthecenterplugfromtheswitchcup.
Attachthelightkittotheswitchcupbyfeedingthewires
andthreadingthelightkitthroughtheholeoftheswitch
cup,secureittotheswitchcupbynut&lockwasher.Be
sureitistightenoughtopreventthelightkitfromvibrating
loose.(Fig.1)
3. Locatetwosinglewhiteandbluewiresintheswitchcup
labeled“FORLIGHT”.
4. Makethewireconnectionsasfollowsandsecurewiththe
wirenutsprovided.Connectwhitewirefromswitchcupto
whitewirefromlightkit.Connectbluewirefromswitchcup
toblackfromlightkit.
5. Whileholdingtheswitchcup,firmlysnapthewire
molexestogether.Next,slideswitchcupupagainstplate
androtateituntilthe

WARRANTY PERIOD: NuTonewarrantstotheoriginalconsumerpurchaserofitsNuToneCeilingFansandAccessorieswillbe
materiallyfreefromdefectsinmaterialsorworkmanshipforaperiodofone(1)yearfromthedateoforiginalpurchase.Thiswarranty
doesnotcoverglassglobesorlightbulbsprovidedwiththelightkits.
Thelimitedwarrantyperiodforreplacementparts,andforfansrepairedorreplacedunderthislimitedwarranty,shallcontinueforthe
remainderoftheoriginalwarrantyperiod.
NO OTHER WARRANTIES: THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. NUTONE DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES, AND DISCLAIMS
AND EXCLUDES ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY LAW, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY
AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. TO THE EXTENT THAT APPLICABLE LAW PROHIBITS THE EXCLUSION OF

therepairedorreplacedfanorreplacementpartstoyouatnocharge.Youareresponsibleforallcostsforremoval,reinstallationand
shipping,insuranceorotherfreightchargesincurredintheshipmentofthefanorparttoNuTone. Thiswarrantydoesnotcover(a)
normalmaintenanceandservice,(b)normalwearandtear,(c) anyfansorpartswhichhavebeensubjecttomisuse,abuse,abnormal
usage, negligence, accident, improper or insufficient maintenance, storage or repair (other than repair by NuTone), (d) damage
causedbyfaultyinstallation,orinstallationorusecontrarytorecommendationsorinstructions,(e)anyfanthathasbeenmovedfrom
itsoriginalpointofinstallation,(f) damagecausedbyenvironmentalornaturalelements,(g) damageintransit,(h) naturalwearof
finish,(i) fansincommercialornonresidentialuse,or(j) damagecausedbyfire,floodorotheractofGod.Thiswarrantycoversonly
fanssoldintheUnitedStatesorthroughU.S.distributorsauthorizedbyNuTone.
EXCLUSION OF DAMAGES: NUTONE’S OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE REPLACEMENT PARTS, OR REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT
NUTONE’S OPTION, SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND NUTONE’S
SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE OBLIGATION. NUTONE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL
OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE FAN, ITS USE OR PERFORMANCE. Incidental
damagesincludebutarenotlimitedtosuchdamagesaslossoftimeandlossofuse.Consequentialdamagesincludebutarenot
limitedtothecostofrepairingorreplacingotherpropertywhichwasdamagedifthefandoesnotworkproperly.
Somestatesdonotallowtheexclusionorlimitationofincidentalorconsequentialdamages,sotheabovelimitationorexclusionmay
notapplytoyou.Thiswarrantygivesyouspecificlegalrights,andyoumayalsohaveotherrights,whichvaryfromstatetostate.
Thiswarrantysupersedesallpriorwarrantiesandisnottransferablefromtheoriginalconsumerpurchaser.
NUTONE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU, OR TO ANYONE CLAIMING UNDER YOU, FOR ANY OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR
LIABILITIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF CONTRACT

NUTONE’S ACTS OR OMISSIONS OR OTHERWISE.
ThiswarrantycoversonlyreplacementorrepairofdefectivefansorpartsatNuTone’smainfacilityanddoesnotincludethecostof
fieldservicetravelandlivingexpenses.
AnyassistanceNuToneprovidestoorprocuresforyououtsidetheterms,limitationsorexclusionsofthislimitedwarrantywillnot
constituteawaiverofsuchterms,limitationsorexclusions,norwillsuchassistanceextendorrevivethewarranty.
NuTonewillnotreimburseyouforanyexpensesincurredbyyouinrepairingorreplacinganydefectiveFan,exceptforthoseincurred
withNuTone’spriorwrittenpermission.

numberstatedbelowwithinseven(7) daysofdiscoveringthecovereddefect,(b)givethemodelnumberandpartidentificationand

INSTALACIÓN
PRECAUCIÓN: Para reducir el riesgo de incendio y de descarga
