The cable can then be connected to either jack on the back of the MXL-40EXT. To add more microphones, simply daisy chain the connection as follows: • MXL-40EXT Gooseneck Ext microphone • 1/8” TRS to 1/8” TRS cable *add up to 4 gooseneck mics to extend your range • Owners Manual General Characteristics This microphone is an optional accessory to the MXL AC-406 USB Conference Microphone. You may add (daisy chain) up to four MXL-40EXT microphones to the AC-406 to extend the range of your conference. The microphone can be muted by pressing the locking mute switch on the base of the MXL-40EXT. The red LED indicates that the MXL-40EXT microphone is muted.
