DUAL CENTRE EXHAUST
Twin-barrelled and tipped in chrome, the centre
exhaust is centrally located and built into the rear
bumper. This is sportiness at its most captivating.
1 + 2 DOOR CONFIGURATION
One door on the driver’s side, two on the passenger
side shows Hyundai’s progressive nature and
willingness to challenge everything you thought
you knew about a coupé. With a hidden door
handle that ensures the smooth sleek bodywork
is not interrupted – the unique configuration of the
Veloster sets it in a class of its own.
CHROME RADIATOR GRILLE
The distinctive Hyundai Hexagonal-shaped radiator
grille presents a confident, bold and vibrant face to
the world. The bonnet is profiled into two planes
and features symmetric cut outs, adding to the
fluidity, sporty curving of the bodywork. All of this
strengthens the Veloster’s strong personality.
TEMPTING
With a short front overhang, this punchy coupé pulls off a
sporty look. It is low to the ground with wide apart wheels
and a design that exudes style. Veloster drivers are certain
to have a once-in-a-lifetime driving experience.
18” Alloy wheels
To provide that extra edge of sportiness, these 18”
alloy wheels match the ferocious personality of the
Veloster. The wheels are paired up with 215/40 R 18
tyres to ensure heightened grip and stability.

Sensors in the rear bumper detect obstacles when

gets too close to an obstacle or kerb – ensuring
that you and your Veloster avoid those unnecessary
hurdles.

With two cylinder-type dials, driving information
shown includes the trip computer, vehicle
condition, temperature and driving mode.
MULTI-FUNCTION STEERING WHEEL

Steering wheel remote controls allow the driver
to adjust the audio system and cruise control
without lifting their hands from the wheel.

Engineering matters: you want performance and you
want efficiency. You want each and every element
of a car working in perfect harmony. The Veloster’s
performance is not just limited to its engine. The
low coupé profile enhances the aerodynamics of the
Veloster and it’s designed to out-perform competing
vehicles. Its smooth contours lead to improved
fuel consumption and overall performance. These
contours ebb and flow to imprint themselves on your
consciousness .
ENGINE PERFORMANCE
The 1.6 litre petrol engine of the Veloster
provides 103kW of power and 167Nm of torque.
The innovative engine of the Veloster paves
the way forward for other Hyundai models, by
being the first vehicle in the range to have a GDi
powered engine introduced to South Africa. The
system injects atomised fuel into the cylinders
at high pressure to provide maximum power and
efficiency.
TRANSMISSION
The 6-speed manual transmission is built with
a key and ball-type synchromesh and optimised
gear tooth forms, for enhanced precision and
smoother shifting. The 6-speed double clutch
transmission (DCT) provides enhanced fuel
efficiency, improved driving quality, reduced
noise and prolonged durability.
SAFETY FIRST
A car has to be well built from every single
perspective. That means paying as much attention
to safety as style and design. Safety is a top
priority for Hyundai, and it’s been given close
attention throughout the Veloster, in the form of a
comprehensive airbag system as standard.
IMPACT MANAGEMENT
For increased protection in the event of a front
collision, both the dash and side protection
beams are comprised of high tensile steel to
limit intrusion into the occupants safety zone.
Asymmetrical parallel roof beams and the
side pillar beams protect the vehicle and its
occupants in the event of a side collision or roll
over. All in all, the Veloster’s safety features
are of world class standards.
6 AIRBAGS
Depowered airbags on the front seats deploy
at reduced force to prevent possible injury.
Side and curtain airbags add to the protection
in the event of a collision. They reduce the
possibility of head injuries, and prevent
occupants from being catapulted forwards.
ESC
Electronic Stability Control
Electronic Stability Control regulates brake
pressure and engine output in the event of a
sudden change of direction, acceleration and
braking, to bring the car safely under control.
ISOFIX
ISOFIX standard built-in attachment points
enable compliant child safety-seats to be
quickly and safely secured.
