WARRANTY BY USING YOUR BOREALIS LAMP, YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THE 1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY (“WARRANTY”) AS SET OUT BELOW. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM PROVINCE TO PROVINCE. OTHER THAN AS PERMITTED BY LAW, ECOGEN DOES NOT EXCLUDE, LIMIT OR SUSPEND OTHER RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE. FOR A FULL UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR RIGHTS YOU SHOULD CONSULT THE LAWS OF YOUR PROVINCE. Residents of Quebec are governed by that province’s consumer protection legislation. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL, WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ECOGEN DISCLAIMS ALL STATUTORY AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTIES AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. ECOGEN LIMITS THE DURATION AND REMEDIES OF SUCH WARRANTIES TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY AND, AT ECOGEN’S OPTION, THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT SERVICES DESCRIBED BELOW. SOME PROVINCES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY (OR CONDITION) MAY LAST, SO THE LIMITATION DESCRIBED ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. ECOGEN (a division of ADH Supply Chain Solutions Inc.) of 52-5080 Timberlea Blvd., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada L4W 4M2 warrants this BOREALIS lamp against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with Ecogen’s published guidelines for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase by the end-user purchaser («Warranty Period»). Use the included adaptor and power socket. To avoid damaging the lamp, do not exceed the recommended settings of the head. Do not use the lamp in high-temperature or high-humidity conditions. To avoid eye damage, never look directly at a lighted LED. Disconnect the power cord if any of the following happens: 1. The power cord or plug breaks 2. The lamp becomes wet 3. The casing or the gooseneck becomes cracked 4. Smoke or sparks develop in the lamp 5. The LEDs flicker abnormally or break This Warranty does not apply: (a) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic; (b) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause; (c) to damage caused by operating the lamp outside Ecogen’s published guidelines; (d) to damage caused by service (including upgrades) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Ecogen; (e) to a lamp that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Ecogen; or (f) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the lamp. If during the Warranty Period you submit a valid claim to Ecogen, it will, at its option, (i) repair the lamp using new or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, (ii) replace the lamp with a device that is at least functionally equivalent, or (iii) exchange the lamp for a refund of your purchase price. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ECOGEN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE; LOSS OF REVENUE; LOSS OF ACTUAL OR ANTICIPATED PROFITS; LOSS OF BUSINESS; LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY; LOSS OF GOODWILL; LOSS OF REPUTATION; OR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE HOWSOEVER CAUSED. SOME PROVINCES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. No Ecogen reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this Warranty. If any term is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected or impaired. This Warranty is governed by and construed under the laws of Ontario. Operating instructions User guide • Connect the power adaptor to the socket at the rear of the base. Lamp ON/OFF & 3-level brightness touch key Attention The power adaptor is meant exclusively to power your LED desk lamp. Do not use it to power any other electronic device. • Touch the ON/OFF switch to turn the lamp on (refer to the operating instructions). Gooseneck adjustment: • The neck can be bent 90° forward (forcing the neck beyond that point may cause damage). • Do hold the lamp base when adjusting the neck. • • Touch bar to change the color of the light You may twist the neck to meet your requirements. Adjustable range: 45° on either side (forcing the neck beyond that range may cause damage). Side-to-side adjustment: • The neck can be bent 30° to either side. • Do hold the lamp base when adjusting the neck. Color light ON/OFF touch key When the BOREALIS lamp is ON, simultaneously touch the ON/OFF key and the color light touch key for 3 seconds to automatically achieve a Northern Lights effect.
