NITVIEW®Ledcomb
New Revolutionary Technology for Effective Detection and Removal
of Head Lice and Eggs.
NITVIEW®Ledcomb is a revolutionary Spanish invention system internationally
patented (WO2010089433; EP2394528B1; ES1070286U), incorporating an
ultraled torch that emits ultraviolet (UV) light with a wavelength close to
the visible spectrum (400-405nm, light range naturally visible to the human
eye) for the location and removal of both lice and eggs. The light is absorbed
by the chitin in lice and eggs, which emit fluorescence during exposure,
thus facilitating an effective visual location of the parasites for their effective
removal. The ultraled torch is attached to a comb with micro-channelled
teeth, which help to remove head lice and eggs.
The device consists of two main parts, the handle that includes the ultraled
torch and the battery compartment, and the detachable head that includes
the lice comb.
NITVIEW®Ledcomb operates with 3 x 1.5 V AAA batteries. Batteries not
included.
How to use NITVIEW®Ledcomb
NITVIEW®Ledcomb can be used on previously washed and untangled,
dry or slightly damp hair. It is recommended for use preferably in low light
conditions.
1. Insert 3 x 1.5 V AAA batteries into the battery compartment (See
instructions in the section on “Removing and changing the batteries”).
2. Hold the NITVIEW®Ledcomb by the handle, press the central button and
the ultraled torch will start to emit light.
3. Place the head of the NITVIEW®Ledcomb by its teeth at an angle of no
more than 90º and begin to inspect the hair from root to ends, running
the teeth through each strand to be examined.
4. Remove extracted lice and eggs from the comb using a damp paper cloth
or wipe.
5. Repeat the operation strand by strand until the whole head has been
inspected and cleaned.
6. After each use, carefully extract and clean the comb using soap and water,
especially if to be used on different people. Do not boil. Do not place in
the dishwasher, or use corrosive products for its cleaning.
Recommendations:
- For best results use in conjunction with Euky Bear Blitz Nitz Solution and
Shampoo.
- Repeat the operation for several days in a row to ensure complete
removal, as the life cycle of the louse (hatching of eggs into nymphs and
subsequent growth into adult lice) is approximately 7-10 days.
- Remove the comb and use the torch to inspect areas that could be
infested, eg: beds, sofas, cushions, etc.
Warnings:
- Keep out of the reach of children, this product is not a toy.
- Avoid use by children without adult supervision.
- Do not aim the light at the eyes, continued direct eye exposure for more
than 20 minutes could be harmful.
- Use the device for its designated purpose only and follow the instructions
for use.
- Do not use if any deterioration is observed, including in the teeth, or if the
device is not working correctly.
Storage and conservation of the product:
- Store the device in a clean, dry and cool place.
- Protect the device against humidity. If liquid enters the device, remove
the batteries immediately and stop using it.
- Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
- Switch off the device when not in use.
- Remove the batteries if the device is not to be used for an extended
period.
Detaching the comb:
1. Check that Nitview®Ledcomb is switched off.
2. Press one side of the detachable head to slide it while firmly holding the
handle as shown in picture 1.
3. Pull on the detachable head twisting slightly as shown in picture 2.

Removing and changing the batteries (Check that
Nitview®Ledcomb is switched off):
1. Press the battery lid as shown in the picture and pull to open the
compartment.
2. Remove the inner slide tray.
3. Place the batteries on the slide tray as shown in the picture.
4. Next introduce the slide tray making the symbols coincide.
5. Put the lid back into place by pushing the tabs into their grooves and
pressing until you hear it seal closed.
Instructions for removal of waste:
1. Dispose of the outer packaging in the domestic containers designated to
such effect.
2. Do not dispose of used batteries as part of domestic waste, instead use
special battery containers.
3. Nitview®Ledcomb cannot be disposed of in domestic waste, and must be
disposed of in containers designated for the disposal of electric waste.
Expected life of UV unit: up to 10,000 hours.
The manufacturer reserves the right to introduce technical and design
modifications aimed at improving the quality of the product.
Warranty
This product has been produced with the greatest care for normal,
household use. Following directions carefully will ensure dependable
operation. If your Nitview®Ledcomb is found to be defective (other than
misuse or normal battery operation) we will repair or replace it, at no charge
during the 2 year warranty period. Modification to the product by the
consumer is not authorised and voids the warranty.
If the Nitview®Ledcomb does not function properly, first check the battery.
Replace if necessary. Batteries and packaging are excluded from the
warranty.
If you experience unsatisfactory operation, please contact Felton Grimwade
& Bosisto’s as per below. If repair or replacement is required under the
warranty period, the product should be returned with proof of purchase to
Felton Grimwade & Bosisto’s as per below.
The purchaser assumes responsibility for the proper care and use of the
product in accordance with the printed operating manual. The purchaser or
user must make his or her judgment as to when to use the product and the
length of use. Keep the operation manual available as it is your guide to safe,
efficient operation.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a
major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss
or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if
the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to
a major failure.
