6.2.3.1 An Example of a the Entries Passed during a Subscription Transaction
A customer Mr. X invests 10,000 USD in Fund A. The currency of Fund A is BHD. The exchange rate
between USD and BHD is 1.25. The Fund Bank Account maintained for the fund is F0001. The Settlement
Account is S0001 of Branch 000.The transaction date is 01-JAN-2005 and maturity date is 01-JAN -2006.
The fund branch is FBR, the Inter branch entity is CASA and IB currency is offset currency.
Case 1: ‘Allow Corporate Access’ is not selected at the branch parameters level
When the above transaction is authorized in the system, the accounting entries defined in the subscription
event will not be passed and the deposit account D0001 linked to Fund A for the customer Mr. X will be
created with the following parameters as part of the subscription event processing:
Deposit Amount: BHD 8000
Maturity Date: 01-JAN-2006
Offset Branch: FBR
Offset Account: F0001
Currency of the account: USD
The deposit account will pass the following entries in the fund branch:

F0001
USD 10000
Cr
D0001
BHD 8000
Case 2: ‘Allow Corporate Access’ is selected at the branch parameters level
When the above transaction is authorized in the system, the accounting entries defined in the subscription
event will not be passed and the deposit account D0001 linked to Fund A for customer Mr. X will be created
with the following parameters as part of the subscription event processing:
Deposit Amount: BHD 8000
Maturity Date: 01-JAN-2006
Offset Branch: 000
Offset Account: S0001
Currency of the account: USD
The deposit account will pass the following entries in the corporate branch:
