5.Unplugiron.Holdingironoverasinkinahorizontalposition,pressSelf-CleanButtonandhold.Waterwillbegin
drippingfromthesteamvents.Slowlyrockironsidetosideandfronttobackfor30seconds.Dipnoseoftheiron
slightlybelowthereartocirculatewater.ReleaseSelf-CleanButtonafteroneminute.
6.Openfillcapandemptyremainingwater.Carefullydrysoleplatewithatowel.
7.PluginironandsetFabricselectiontoLinenandHeatfor2minutestodryoutcompletely.SetFabricSelect
SettingtoOff,unplugtheiron,andallowtocool.
CLEANING SOLEPLATE:Cleansoleplateafterevery30uses,ormorefrequentlyifstarchisusedorbuild-upstarts
toaccumulate.Beforecleaning,ensureironisunpluggedandcool.

2.Add1teaspoonofsaltto¾cupwaterandfillwaterreservoirwiththissolution.
3.Leavesolutioninwaterreservoirfor15minutes,shakeoccasionally,andthenemptythroughthefillholeor
throughthe“cleanmethod”.
4.Fillwaterreservoiragainwithsaltwatersolution,shakeandemptyafter15minutes.
5.Fillwaterreservoirwithfreshwatertorinseandempty.

•Beforeironing,checkthegarmentlabelandfollowmanufacturer’sinstructions.Ifnoinstructions,startwithalow-heat
settingandtestbyironingasmallarea,andgraduallyincreaseheat.
•Sortgarmentsbyfabrictype.Ironarticlesrequiringalow-temperaturesettingandgraduallyworkupthetemperaturerange.
• Whenchangingfromahigh-temperaturesettingtoalowerone,allow5minutesforchange.
• Whensteamironing,uselong,slowpassesoverthefabrictoallowthesteamtopenetratethefabricandtheheatof
thesoleplatetodrythemoisture.
• Ironlinengarmentsinsideouttopreventshine.Anironingclothorcottonfabriccanbeusedtoreduceshine.
• Ifthegarmentislined,usealowheatsetting.
• Ensurezippersareclosedandflapisflat.Ironovertheflap,holdingthegarmenttaut.
• Spraystarchmakesthejobeasier.
IRONING SHIRTS
• Beginwiththecollarandworktowardthemiddlefromtheouteredges.Ironlengthwise,notincircles.
• Layshoulderovernarrowedgeoftheboardandirononesideofthefront.Thenirontheshoulder,acrosstheback
(belowthecollarline),theothershoulderandtheremainderofthefront.
• Ironsleevesandcuffs,workingdownfromtheunderarmseams.Toremovecreases,shiftthedoublelayerofsleeve
fabricandironout.
• Ironbodyofgarment,fromhalfofthefrontaroundtheback,thensecondhalfoffront.Ifyourshirtdoesnotopen,slip
overendofironingboardandironfrontandbackinturn.

IRONING PANTS
• Beginwiththewaistbandandinseamarea,thenpocketsandcuffs.
• Pullwaistbandonpointyendoftheboard,asifyou’re“dressing”theironingboard.Ironupper-frontpartofthepants,
includingthewaistband.
• Placepantsparalleltoironingboardlengthwisesobothlegsarefacingthesamedirection.Ironeachlegbymovingthe
ironbackandforthalongthepantleg.
• Takecuffofthelegandbringitovertowardsthewaistbandtoirontheinnerpartoftheleg.Repeatthese2stepsfor
thesecondleg.

• PressShotofSteam®buttonseveraltimestoprime.
Ironisleaking
• OnlyfillwithwatertotheMAXlevel.
• Allowtoheatforatleast2minutesbeforeuse.
• ShotofSteam®hasbeenpressedtoofrequently.Onlyuseshotof
steam®in3secondintervalsorless.
• ShotofSteam®featureusedwithincorrectfabricsetting.Onlyusewith

(Canada)LimiteddoingbusinessasJardenConsumerSolutions(collectively“JCS”)warrantsthatforaperiodof
threeyearsfromthedateofinitialretailpurchase,thisproductwillbefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanship.
JCSwarrantstheiron’ssoleplatewillbefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipforthelifeoftheironfrom
thedateofinitialretailpurchase.
JCS,atitsoption,willrepairorreplacethisproductoranycomponentoftheproductfoundtobedefectiveduringthe
warrantyperiod.Replacementwillbemadewithaneworremanufacturedproductorcomponent.Iftheproductisno
longeravailable,replacementmaybemadewithasimilarproductofequalorgreatervalue.Thisisyourexclusive
warranty.DoNOTattempttorepairoradjustanyelectricalormechanicalfunctionsonthisproduct.Doingsowill
voidthiswarranty.
Thiswarrantyisvalidfortheoriginalretailpurchaserfromthedateofinitialretailpurchaseandisnottransferable.
Keeptheoriginalsalesreceipt.Proofofpurchaseisrequiredtoobtainwarrantyperformance.JCSdealers,service
centers,orretailstoressellingJCSproductsdonothavetherighttoalter,modifyoranywaychangethetermsand
conditionsofthiswarranty.
Thiswarrantydoesnotcovernormalwearofpartsordamageresultingfromanyofthefollowing:negligentuseor
misuseoftheproduct,commercialuse,accident,useonimpropervoltageorcurrent,usecontrarytotheoperating
instructions,disassembly,repairoralterationbyanyoneotherthanJCSoranauthorizedJCSservicecenter.
Further,thewarrantydoesnotcover:ActsofGod,suchasfire,flood,hurricanesandtornadoes.Soleplatewarranty
doesnotcoverscratchesordiscolorationofthesoleplatefinishandonlyappliesaslongastheirongenerates
optimalheat.
What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?
JCSshallnotbeliableforanyincidentalorconsequentialdamagescausedbythebreachofanyexpress,impliedor
statutorywarrantyorcondition.
Excepttotheextentprohibitedbyapplicablelaw,anyimpliedwarrantyorconditionofmerchantabilityorfitnessfora
particularpurposeislimitedindurationtothedurationoftheabovewarranty.
JCSdisclaimsallotherwarranties,conditionsorrepresentations,express,implied,statutoryorotherwise.
JCSshallnotbeliableforanydamagesofanykindresultingfromthepurchase,useormisuseof,orinabilitytouse
theproductincludingincidental,special,consequentialorsimilardamagesorlossofprofits,orforanybreachof
contract,fundamentalorotherwise,orforanyclaimbroughtagainstpurchaserbyanyotherparty.
Someprovinces,statesorjurisdictionsdonotallowtheexclusionorlimitationofincidentalorconsequentialdamagesor
