• The Digital Backup Camera is designed as an aid to the driver in detecting potentially hazardous driving conditions,
obstructions,andlargestationaryobjects.You,thedriver,mustalsoremembertodrivesafelyandproperly.Useofthe
DigitalBackupCameraisnotasubstituteforsafe,properandlegaldrivingpractices.
•Neverbackupwhilelookingonlyatyourconnectedmonitordisplayscreen.Youshouldalwayscheckbehindandaround
thevehiclewhenbackingupjustasyouwouldifthevehicledidnothavetheDigitalBackupCamera.Alwaysmakesure
yourdrivingareaisclear.Alwaysbackupslowlyandwithcaution.
•NeverdependontheBackupCameraentirelywhenbackingup.Theimageonthemonitordisplayscreenmaybeslightly
different from actual and realͲtime conditions. Objects viewed in the rear view monitor differ from actual distances
becauseawideͲanglelensisused.Sousethecameraasanaidandalwaysfollowintendeddrivingpracticestoproperly
judgedistancesfromobjects.
•TheBackupCamera'sassistedlowluxlightingperformancefeatureisalsoanaidtoadriver.Alwaysuseyourowneyes
toconfirmthevehicle’ssurroundings,asthedisplayedimagemaybenotwelllitornotentirelyvisible.Alwaysproceed
withcautionandperformdoubleͲchecksbeforeproceeding.
• The area displayed by the Backup Camera is limited. It does not display objects that are close to or just below the
bumper,underneaththevehicle,orobjectsoutofthecamera’sview.Thecamera'sviewcanchangeaccordingtoyour
vehicle'sorientationontheroadorchangingroadconditions.
• Be sure to check the camera is properly functioning, is properly positioned and securely mounted, every time you
operateyourvehicle.
•Makesureyourtrunkorhatchoperatescorrectly,asintended,beforeandafterinstallation.
•Proceedwithcautionwhencleaningyourvehiclearoundthecamera.Avoidexcesswaterexposurearoundthecamera
especiallywithsprayingorapowerwasher.
•Pleasemakesuretokeepthecameracleanandunobstructedfromanydebris
•Followalltrafficlawsandmotorvehicleregulations.
•Consultlocallawsandregulationsforanyrestrictionsoninstallationoruse.
•UsingaBackupCameraSystemisnotadequateenoughtocompletelyeliminateavehicle’sblindspot.Alwaysremember

SystemInstallationandWiring
Note:CameraSysteminstallationondieselvehiclesmayrequireaslightlydifferentwiringinstall.
Caution:Connectingtoothertypesofelectricalsystemswillcausedamagetoyourvehicle.Pleasecontactthemanufacturerifyouare
unawareofthesystemtypeinyourvehicle.Refertothemodel'spowerrequirementspriortoconnectionandinstallation.
QuickInstallation:
Thisrearviewbackupcamerasystemcomeswithcameraandinstallationwiring.Wheninstalling,thecameraispreferably
tobemountedintherearofyourvehicle(justabovethelicenseplate).
Thiskitincludesnecessarywiringandcableconnectoraccessoriessufficientfortypicalconnections.
However, additional accessory cables and installation materials may be necessary for completely
secureandoperationalbackupcameraperformance.
CameraConnection:
ConnectthecameratotheusingtheincludedDC12Vpowercable.ConnecttheDC12Vpowercabletothepositive12V
reverse tail light in the rear of your vehicle. Then, connect the black wire, of the DC 12V power cable, and ground
properly. This connected power and ground cable then connects to the camera, and will supply power to the camera
directly.
Next,usetheincludedyellowRCAvideoconnectorcable,andrunthatcablefromtheyellowRCAvideoconnectorjackof
thecamera,totheyellowvideoconnectorofyourcompatibledisplaymonitor.
TheyellowRCAcablewhenconnected,automaticallyretrievesthevideosignalwhenactivated(whenyourvehicleisswitchedintothereversegear).
InstallationTranscript:
1.Locatethereversetaillightwiringbehindyourvehicle'sreverselight.Youmayneedtoremoveaninteriorpanel,orothercover,in
ordertolocatethewiring.Connecttheincludedpower12VDCpowercabletothereverselight.
a.Connectthepowercable'sRedwiretoyourvehicle'sreverselightpositivewire.
b.Connectthepowercable'sBlackwiretoyourvehicle'sreverselightnegativewire.
2.Connectthecameratothis'reverselight'connectioninstallation,thenmountthecamerainthedesiredlocation.
3.RuntheRCAvideocablefromthecameratoyourcompatiblevideodisplaymonitor.
*Please remember to run cables in the least obtrusive route possible. Vehicle vibrations and bumpy driving conditions can
result,soextracareshouldbetakentosecurelymountthecameraandfastenallcablesandwiringtosecurelocations.
*Ensurethewiresaresafelyandsecurelyconnected,withproperisolationappliedtoallconnections.
AdditionalNotes:
ͲDeterminethebestlocationforthecamera(Thecameraispreferablymountedjustabovethelicenseplate).
ͲBesurewhenrunningtheconnectioncablestoleaveasmallamountofslacksoyoucanstillmovethecameraaround
thelicenseplate,ifyoudecidetoslightlyadjustthecamera'spositioningatalatertime.
ͲAfterinstallation,Testthecamerabeforeuse.Placingyourvehicleinreverseshouldprovideapictureinthemonitor
withintherearviewmirrorassembly.
