CONSIDERACIONES
OBSERVATIONS
Este manual de instrucciones describe las Normas de Uso y
Mantenimiento y las Piezas de Recambio para los arados
indicados.
Este equipo agrícola, denominado Arado, está diseñado
para labrar la tierra, aplicado a un Tractor con grupo
elevador y enganche universal de tres puntos.
El buen funcionamiento de la máquina está supeditado a un
correcto uso. Es aconsejable por tanto leer atentamente las
indicaciones expuestas en este manual para prevenir así
todo tipo de inconvenientes que puedan perjudicar el buen
funcionamiento y durabilidad de la máquina.
Es importante por otra parte respetar las indicaciones del
manual, ya que el Fabricante declina todo tipo de
responsabilidad por causas debidas a negligencias y a
la no observación de dichas Normas.
El fabricante está a su disposición para garantizar una
inmediata y precisa asistencia técnica, y brindar todo aquello
que pueda ser necesario para un mejor funcionamiento y
rendimiento de la máquina. El Fabricante se reserva el
derecho a modificar la Máquina sin necesidad de tener que
actualizar con urgencia esta publicación.
This handbook describes the use, maintenance instructions
and spare parts, supplied for the indicated plough.
The farming implement known as a “plough“ is designed to
work the soil, linked to a tractor with lift and universal 3-point
coupling.
Regular and satisfactory operation together with economic
and long lasting use of the implement depend on compliance
with the instructions given in this handbook. It is, therefore,
advisable to strictly comply with the following instructions in
order to prevent faults which could jeopardize the correct and
long-lasting operation of the implement.
Compliance with the instructions in this handbook is also
important since the Manufacturer declines all and every
responsibility caused by negligence and failure to
comply with these instructions.
The Manufacturer shall, however, remain at the customers
disposal for immediate and thorough assistance together
with anything else that may be required in order to ensure
the correct operation and maximum efficiency of the
implement. The Manufacturer reserves the right to make any
modifications and improvements to the implement as mat be
considered opportune, without being obliged to immediately
inform the user.

2.- NORMAS DE SEGURIDAD
2.- SAFETY PROVISIONS
 Leer atentamente todas las instrucciones de empleo
del arado.
 El fabricante declina toda responsabilidad frente a
inconvenientes causados por la NO observación de las
Normas de Seguridad y Prevención de Accidentes
descritas a continuación.
1.- Prestar atención a los símbolos de peligro y advertencia
expuestos en este manual ( Fig. 1 ). e indicados en el arado.
2.- Las reparaciones y regulaciones sobre el equipo se
deben efectuar siempre con el motor parado y el tracto
bloqueado.
3.- Está terminantemente prohibido transportar personas o
animales sobre el equipo.
4.- Está terminantemente prohibido confiar la conducción del
tractor, con el equipo enganchado, a personas sin permiso
de conducir, inexpertas, o que no estén en buenas
condiciones de salud.
5.- Observar escrupulosamente todas las medidas de
prevención de accidentes aconsejadas y descritas en este
manual.
6.- La aplicación de un equipo adicional al tractor implica una
distribución de peso distinta sobre los ejes del mismo.
7.- Antes de poner en funcionamiento el tractor y el equipo,
controlar el perfecto estado de todos los elementos de
seguridad para el transporte y uso.
8.- Los símbolos con advertencias expuestos sobre la
maquina dan las oportunas sugerencias para el empleo del
mismo.
9.- Para circular por carretera, es necesario observar las
normas del código vial en vigor en el país de empleo.
10.- Respetar el peso máximo previsto sobre el eje del
tractor, el peso total móvil, la reglamentación relativa al
transporte y el código vial.
11.- Antes de iniciar el trabajo, familiarizarse con los
dispositivos de mando.
12.- Prestar la máxima atención a las operaciones de
enganche y desenganche del equipo.
13.- Con el tractor en movimiento no abandonar nunca el
puesto de conducción

1.- Comply with the instructions given by the danger signals
exposed in this handbook ( Fig.1 ) and affixed to the plough
itself.
2.- Operations and adjustments to the implement must
always be carried out when the engine is off and the tractor
braked.
3.- It is absolutely forbidden to carry passengers or animals
on the equipment
4.- It is absolutely forbidden for persons without a driving
license, inexpert persons or those in precarious health
conditions to drive the tractor with the equipment mounted.
5.- Strictly comply with all the recommended accident
preventing measures described in this handbook.
6.- Assembly of an implement on the tractor will shift the
weights on the axles.
7.- Before starting the tractor and equipment, always check
that all safety devices guarding transport and use are in
perfect conditions.
8.- The instructions labels affixed to the equipment give
useful advice on how to prevent accidents.
9.- Always comply with the highway code in force in your
country when travelling on public roads.
10.- Comply with the maximum permissible weight on the
axle of the tractor, the total adjustable weight, transport
regulations and the highway code.
11.- Always become familiar with the controls and their
operation before starting work.
12.- Take the utmost care during the equipment coupling and
release phases
13.- Never ever leave the driving seat whilst the tractor is
moving.
14.- Remember that the road holding, steering and breaking
capacity may be notably influenced by the presence of a
mounted implement

14.- Recordar que la adherencia en carretera, y la capacidad
de dirección y frenado, pueden variar significativamente, por
la presencia de un equipo suspendido.
15.- Está terminantemente prohibido permanecer en el área
de acción de la maquina.
16.- Antes de abandonar el tractor, bajar el equipo al suelo,
parar el motor, poner el freno de estacionamiento, y quitar la
llave de contacto del tablero de mandos.
17.- La categoría de los bulones de enganche del equipo,
debe corresponder con la del enganche del elevador.
18.- Prestar máxima atención cuando se trabaja en la zona
de los brazos del tractor, es un área muy peligrosa.
19.- Está terminantemente prohibido colocarse entre el
tractor y el equipo para maniobrar el mando externo de
elevación.
20.- En la fase de transporte por carretera, poner en posición
de bloqueo la palanca de mando del elevador hidráulico.
21.- Los repuestos deben corresponder con las exigencias
definidas por el Fabricante. Usar siempre repuestos
originales.
22.- Las calcomanías correspondientes a las instrucciones
de seguridad deben ser siempre evidentes. Limpiarlas y
sustituirlas si no son legibles ( Puede VD., pedirlas a su
concesionario ).
23.- El manual de instrucciones de empleo, debe ser
conservado durante toda la duración del equipo.
15.- It is absolutely forbidden to stand within the operative
range of the machine.
16.- Before leaving the tractor, lower the machine to the
groundt, stop the engine, engage the hand brake and
remove the ignition key from the control panel.
17.- The category of the implement coupling pins must
correspond to that of the lift coupling.
18.- Take care when working close to the lift links. This is a
very dangerous area.
19.- It is absolutely forbidden to stand between the tractor
and the equipment, to manoeuvre the outside lift control.
20.- Set the control lever of the hydraulic lift to the locked
position during road transport.
21.- The spare parts must correspond to the requirements
established by the Manufacturer. Use only genuine spare
parts.
22.- The safety transfers must always be perfectly visible.
They must be kept clean and should be replaced if they
become illegible. Replacements are available on request
from your local dealer.
23.- The instruction manual must be kept for as long as the
machine lasts

3-SISTEMAS DE SEGURIDAD
3.- PROTECTION SYSTEMS
3.1.- Sistema de Seguridad por Tornillo Fusible. En los
modelos SLF y SSF la protección se garantiza con tornillos
fusibles de cizallamiento (Fig.2). El encuentro de la punta de
la reja con un obstáculo produce la rotura del fusible, que
permite a la camba girar sobre su alojamiento. Para
continuar la labor es preciso posicionar la camba
nuevamente y recambiar el fusible B
3.1.- Shear bolt Protection: In the SLF and SSF models,
protection is achieved by means of shear bolts (Fig.2). When
the share point meets an obstacle, the shear bolt breaks and
permits the beam to pivot back around its bedding. To
continue work, swing back the beam to its original position
and replace the shear bolt B.
WARNING: use only genuine shear bolts. Other types of
bolts may offer a difference resistance and serious
damage can be produced. In this case the warranty will
be void

3.2.- Los sistemas de seguridad “Non-Stop” ( Ballesta e
Hidroneumático ) actúan automáticamente. Al encontrar la
reja un obstáculo, el sistema cede, permitiendo al áncora
elevarse y salvarlo, recuperando después su posición
original sin detener el tractor. De esta manera todos los
impactos producidos por las irregularidades del terreno son
absorbidas por el sistema de seguridad, que protege así
todos los elementos del arado y, por supuesto, también del
tractor.
Por el mismo motivo, los sistemas de seguridad “ Non-Stop”
disminuyen el esfuerzo de tracción al evitar que el tractor
tenga que “poder” con todos los obstáculos que el terreno
presenta a una labor uniforme

3.2.- The Auto Reset protection systems ( leafspring or
hydraulic ) work automatically. When the share meets an
obstacle the beam trips up thus overcoming the obstacle
and returns back to its original position afterwards with no
need to stop the tractor.
This way all the impacts produced by an uneven field are
absorbed by the protection system thus protecting all the
elements of the plough and of the tractor too.
For the same reason, the Auto Reset protection decreases
the traction effort by not making the tractor overcome every
eventual obstacle.
3.2.1.- Modelos de ballesta SSB y SLB: En condiciones de
terreno especialmente duro, la ballesta puede incorporar
una hoja más para facilitar la penetración del arado.
En cualquier caso, la cuerda del arco que determina la
ballesta, debe tener siempre una longitud de 700  2 mm
(Fig. 3)
3.2.2.- Modelos hidroneumáticos SSH y SLH: Con objeto de
adaptar el arado a las condiciones de dureza del terreno, en
los modelos con sistema de seguridad hidroneumático se
puede regular la presión de disparo inyectando ( terrenos
duros ) o retirando ( terrenos ligeros ) aceite del circuito y
modificando así la presión de todo el sistema.
Para regular la presión de trabajo proceder de la siguiente
forma:
Abrir la llave L ( Fig. 5) para poder leer la presión en
el manómetro
Abrir la llave C (Fig. 5) situada bien sobre el cilindro
de regulación del ancho de trabajo ( modelos SS ) o
bien sobre el cilindro de ajuste del ancho del primer
cuerpo (modelos SL)
Actuar sobre el mando correspondiente del tractor
para aumentar o disminuir la presión
Una vez ajustada la presión cerrar las llaves L y C
Nota: Los sistemas de seguridad Non-Stop de OVLAC salen
tarados de fábrica a una presión óptima para terrenos de
dureza media. Se recomienda trabajar a la mínima presión
posible para salvaguardar en lo posible tanto el tractor como
el arado. La presión máxima de trabajo es de 140 bar
3.2.1.-Leafspring models ( SSB and SLB ): In heavy duty
conditions one or more leafs can be added to ease
penetration of the plough.
Check that the distance of the arch of the spring is always
700  2mm (Fig.3).
3.2.2.- Hydraulic models ( SSH and SLH ). In order to
adapt the plough to soil conditions, in the hydraulic models
the release pressure can be adjusted by means of injecting
(heavy conditions) or removing ( light conditions ) oil from the
system
To adjust the working pressure proceed as follows:
Open valve L (Fig. 5) to read the current pressure on
the manometer
Open valve C (Fig. 5) placed by the varywidth
cylinder (SS models) or by the first furrow width
cylinder (SL models)
Act on the corresponding tractor spool valve to
increase or decrease the working pressure.
Once the working pressure is set, close valves L and
C
Note: The Auto Reset systems from OVLAC are set at the
factory for average conditions. In order to minimize impacts
on both the tractor and the plough, we recommend to work at
the lowest possible pressure. The maximum working
pressure for the hydraulic protection is 140 bar.

4.- PUESTA EN MARCHA
4.- SET TO WORK
4.1 ENGANCHE
Antes de enganchar el arado comprobar que:
los brazos del tractor están regulados a la misma
longitud y altura.
las ruedas del tractor tienen idéntica presión y que
ésta es adecuada de acuerdo con las normas del
fabricante
los brazos del tractor deben estar centrados con un
pequeño margen de oscilación.
Para enganchar seguir los siguientes pasos:
Enganchar los brazos inferiores a la barra de
enganche
Enganchar el tercer punto observando que el eje E
(Fig. 6) quede en posición vertical durante el trabajo.
Enganchar el tercer punto en la posición que permita
que el eje E quede lo más vertical posible al levantar
los brazos del tractor
Colocar el peón P en posición de trabajo P1 (Fig. 7 )
Conectar los latiguillos al sistema hidráulico del
tractor
4.1.- ATTACHING THE PLOUGH
Before attaching the plough check the following points:
the lift rods of the tractor must be set to the same
length and height
the wheels of the tractor must have the same
pressure and it must be set according to
manufacturer´s instructions
the lower links must be fixed in a centered position
allowing for a little freedom to prevent side pull.
To attach the plough proceed as follows:
Attach lower links to the draw bar
Attach the top link so that the shaft E (Fig. 6 )
remains vertical while working. Attach the top link in
the position of the headstock that allows the
maximum verticality when lifting the front
Place the stay P (Fig. 7) in its working position P1.

Para desenganchar el arado seguir los siguientes pasos:
Bajar la parte frontal un poco y, jugando con la rueda
del arado, posar el arado en el suelo de forma que la
barra de enganche quede horizontal con respecto al
suelo. De esta forma el desenganche y el próximo
enganche serán mucho más fáciles
Aliviar la presión del sistema hidráulico del tractor
Quitar los latiguillos
Poner el peón en posición de estacionamiento P
(Fig.7)
Desenganchar el tercer punto y los brazos inferiores
To detach proceed as follows:
Lower the front part of the plough and act on the
wheel so the tractor is lowered with the drawing bar in
a horizontal position. In this way detaching as well as
the next attaching will be much easier.
Relieve pressure from the spool valves
Remove hydraulic hoses from the tractor
Set the stay in its stand position P (Fig.7)
Remove top link and lower links
4.1.HYDRALIC CONNECTIONS
SS MODELS: 4 double acting spool valves are needed to
operate: the turnover device, working width adjustment,
working depth adjustment, first furrow width adjustment
SL MODELS: 3 double acting spool valves are needed to
operate: the turnover device, working depth adjustment, first
furrow width adjustment
If the tractor has less spool valves than needed, the plough
can optionally be equipped with electro valves to run two
operations with a single spool valve.
4.2 CONEXIONES HIDRAULICAS
MODELOS SS: se requieren 4 mandos de doble efecto para
realizar las siguientes operaciones: volteo, regulación de la
profundidad de trabajo, regulación del ancho de trabajo,
regulación del ancho del primer surco
MODELOS SL: se requieren 3 mandos de doble efecto para
realizar las siguientes operaciones: volteo, regulación de la
profundidad de trabajo, regulación del ancho del primer surco
En caso de disponer de menos mandos de los indicados el
arado se puede equipar opcionalmente con electroválvulas
que permiten realizar dos operaciones con un solo mando.

4.3.-VERTEDERAS
Eliminar la capa de pintura de protección de las vertederas
antes de empezar a trabajar para evitar que la tierra quede
adherida.
4.3.- MOULDBOARDS
Before starting work, the paint on the mouldboards should be
removed to avoid that the soil remains adhered.
4.4- WORKING WIDTH
The "S"series ( SSF, SSB and SSH ) features the OVLAC
exclusive system to adjust hydraulically the furrow widthVarilabor- which allows to choose any working width between
12" (30cm) and 20" (50cm) by means of the cylinder A
(Fig.8). The direction of the wheel is adjusted automatically.
A fine adjustment may be made if necessary by means of the
turnbuckle T
Varying the furrow width permits to adapt the plough to soil
conditions and to the power of the tractor.
4.4.- ANCHURA DE TRABAJO
Los modelos SSF, SSB y SSH incorporan el exclusivo
sistema OVLAC de tajo variable hidráulico -Varilabor-, que
permite adoptar cualquier ancho de labor comprendido entre
12” ( 30 cm ) y 20” ( 50 cm ), con una sola operación
efectuada sobre el cilindro A ( Fig.8 ). La posición de la rueda
se corrige automáticamente. Si se precisa, se puede hacer
un ajuste fino por medio del tensor T.
La posibilidad de modificar el ancho del surco permite
adaptar el arado a las condiciones del terreno y a la potencia
del tractor.
En los modelos SLF, SLB y SLH puede ajustarse el ancho
de labor, dependiendo de las necesidades, en cuatro
posiciones distintas en pasos de 2” ( 5 cm ) modificando la
posición del tornillo de fijación F ( Fig. 9). Las posiciones 1 y
4 corresponden a los anchos mínimo y máximo
respectivamente.
La dirección de la rueda debe ajustarse en relación a la
posición de los cuerpos por medio del tensor T ( Fig.8 )
In the “L” series ( SLF, SLB and SLH ) the furrow width
can be adjusted manually in steps of 2" ( 5cm) by means of
placing bolt F on the desired position (Fig.9). Positions 1 and
4 correspond to the minimum and maximum width
respectively.
The wheel must be set accordingly with respect to the
position of the bodies by means of turnbuckle T (Fig.8) so
that it runs parallel to the working direction.

4.5 – ALINEACIÓN
Durante el trabajo el arado debe trabajar paralelo a la
marcha del tractor. Se recomienda que la anchura interior
entre las ruedas traseras del tractor esté comprendida entre
130 y 150 cm. Para evitar el llamado efecto timón o tiro
lateral del arado se recomienda permitir un pequeño juego
lateral en los brazos del tractor. Este movimiento se debe
limitar por igual a ambos lados.
4.5 – ALLIGNMENT
During work, the plough must run straight and parallel to the
working direction. It is recommended that the inside width
between the rear wheels of the tractor is in the range of 130 –
150 cm. To avoid the lateral pull of the plough it is
recommended to allow for a certain lateral freedom in the
three point linkage. This freedom must be adjusted equally
on both sides.
4.6 .- AJUSTE DE LA ANCHURA DEL PRIMER
CUERPO
La anchura del primer cuerpo se regula de serie de forma
hidráulica por medio del cilindro A (Fig.10). A mayor longitud
del cilindro mayor anchura del primer cuerpo.
4.6 .- FIRST FURROW WIDTH ADJUSTMENT
The first furrow width is adjusted hydraulically by means of
the cylinder A (Fig.10). The longer the ram, the wider the first
furrow.

4.7 .- PROFUNDIDAD DE TRABAJO
La profundidad de trabajo se regula hidráulicamente por
medio del cilindro B (Fig.11). Por medio de la tuerca C se
limita la profundidad máxima.
Debe tenerse en cuenta que para un correcto volteo del
prisma, la anchura de trabajo debe ser mayor que la
profundidad.
4.7 .- WORKING DEPTH
The working depth is adjusted hydraulically by means of the
cylinder B (Fig.11). The maximum working depth is adjusted
by means of nut C on the ram of this cylinder.
In order to achieve a proper turn of the soil it is always
advisable that the working width be greater than the working
depth.

4.8.- OTROS AJUSTES
Debe comprobarse que durante el trabajo las áncoras
adoptan una posición perpendicular al suelo. Para ello es
necesario que los brazos del tractor se encuentren a la
misma altura y actuar sobre los topes de volteo A bajo los
cilindros de volteo (Fig.12).
4.8.- OTHER ADJUSTMENTS
Check that the beams work vertically with respect to the field.
To achieve this, make sure that the lifting arms of the tractor
are set at the same length and act on the stop bolts A below
the turn over rams (Fig.12)

5.- TRANSPORTE Y ESTACIONAMIENTO
5.- TRANSPORT AND PARKING
Este arado se transporta en posición de medio volteo. Las
válvulas V deben entonces cerrarse para bloquear el sistema
de volteo. (Fig.13)
Para el transporte se debe elevar la parte delantera del

también elevarse por medio del cilindro de la rueda y
después bajarse un poco siempre manteniendo una distancia
suficiente al suelo.
Recordar que la rueda de apoyo del arado va entre las del
tractor. Tenga precaución con posibles obstáculos, al circular
por los caminos.
This plough is transported in “butterfly position”. The valves
V must be closed so that the turn over mechanism is locked
(Fig 13 ).
For transport, the front part of the plough must be lifted until
there is enough clearance between the draw bar and the
ground. The rear part must also be lifted by means of the
wheel ram and then lowered a bit always maintaining an
appropriate clearance to the ground.
Remember the wheel of the plough during transport is rolling
just in between the tractor wheels. Be aware of obstacles on
having circulated along the ways .

The stand P (Fig.14) guarantees a steady position when the
plough is parked. When parking the plough make sure that
the locking pin of the stand is placed in the right hole so that
he draw bar is horizontal. When ploughing the stand must be

6.1.- CUBRE RASTROJOS
La posición de los cubre rastrojos puede ajustarse por medio
de los soportes S con corredera (Fig15)

6.2.- RASETAS
Las rasetas deben regularse en altura de forma que la punta
de la reja trabaje a unos 7 cm de profundidad
aproximadamente. Las rasetas están correctamente
reguladas cuando se observa claramente que el prisma
cortado por las mismas cae limpiamente al fondo del surco.
Los tornillos de fijación T se deben apretar fuertemente
(Fig16, 17)
6.2.- SKIMMERS
The working depth of the skimmers must be set at 7cm
approximately. The skimmers are adjusted properly when the
skimmed slice falls cleanly to the bottom of the furrow. Fixing
bolts T must be tightened strongly. (Fig.16, 17)

6.3.- DISCOS
Los discos se deben regular a una profundidad de entre 8 y
10 cm, paralelos al resguardador y a una distancia de unos 2
cm de éste hacia la pared del surco.
Para regular la profundidad del disco, aflojar el tornillo de
fijación T, girar el brazo B y volver a apretar (Fig18, 19).
Para posicionar el disco lateralmente, aflojar la abrazadera A
y colocar la manivela M convenientemente (Fig 18, 19)
Limitar el giro del brazo B por medio del tope G de forma que
tal que los discos no golpeen otros elementos del arado
(rueda, etc ) durante el volteo.
También están disponibles discos Non Stop. Para ajustar su
profundidad colocar el tornillo D en la posición adecuada
(Fig.20)

6.3.- DISC COULTERS
Disc coulters should be set at a working depth of aprox. 8-10
cm and at a distance of aprox. 2cm towards the furrow wall
parallel to the landslide .
To adjust the depth, loosen bolt T, turn arm B to the desired
position and tighten firmly (Fig 18, 19)
To adjust the discs laterally, loosen clamp A and adjust
shank M appropriately (Fig.18, 19)
The turn of arm B must be limited by means of stop G so that
the discs do not hit any other element of the plough in the
turn over manoeuvre.
Auto reset coulter discs are also available. To adjust its depth
place bolt D in the desired position (Fig.20)

Como norma general, se deben engrasar todos estos puntos
antes y después de cada campaña.
