en en Ribs – Ribs protect the organs in the chest. They wrap around the body and connect to the spine in your back. Run your fingers along your sides and you can feel where your ribs are. Skull – The brain needs protection from bumps and falls. Your skull provides that protection. But it cannot protect the brain from all impacts, like getting hit by a baseball. To add to the protection the skull gives, protective helmets (like bicycle, batting and football) should be worn. BONES ! BONES ! BONES ! There are 206 bones in an adult human.
