❐ ❐ ❐ ❐ pot, toasting slots in the toaster). Only touch the plastic parts and handles of the devices. Do not move the devices during operation. Only transport the devices once they have cooled down. Be particularly careful when you move the kettle/coffee pot with hot water/coffee inside it. Always make sure that you pour out boiling water / hot coffee slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle / coffee pot too quickly. Avoid coming into contact with the rising steam. Do not open the lid during operation and be careful when you open the lid to fill the kettle when the device is hot. Danger of Fire ❐ Do not use the device if highly flammable gases are present in the air. For Your Health ❐ There may still be some production residues on the devices. To avoid harmful effects to your health, clean the devices before you first use them (see the "Before Initial Use" chapter). ❐ Only use fresh (potable) drinking water that is cold to medium-warm for boiling water/ making coffee. Do not use any water that comes from a bath, wash basin or other containers. ❐ Keep the devices clean. Correct Set-Up and Connection ❐ The devices should only be used in closed rooms. ❐ Always place the devices on a dry, level, firm and heat-resistant surface. ❐ Do not expose the devices to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fluctuations, direct sunlight or moisture. ❐ Maintain a sufficient distance from heat sources such as hobs or ovens in order not to damage the devices. ❐ The devices should only be connected to a properly installed socket with earthing contacts. The socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage must match the technical data for the device (see the "Technical Data" chapter). Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device. ❐ Never connect all three devices to one plug socket (via multiple sockets). This could cause overloading. ❐ Ensure that it is not possible for others to trip over connected mains cables. Do not allow cables to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others may become caught and pull the devices down. ❐ Position the cables in such a way that they do not become squashed or bent and do not come into contact with hot surfaces. 20
