Carpet Protection Tape – User Guide Always lay the material on a small non critical area first to test for suitability Not recommended to be left in place for more than 2 weeks, remove old film and replace if necessary where lengthy projects are involved Film is one time use only, remove and dispose of in accordance with local environmental regulations Various ambient and traffic conditions may affect the performance of the film, i.e. excessive wear (eg doorways), direct sunlight & intense heat Do not apply film over newly laid carpets where installed using a glue or adhesive. The area should be ventilated for up to 72 hours to allow any vapours to dissipate prior to application Do not apply film if carpet or surface is damp. Rising moisture vapour from cleaning or from uncured concrete floor surfaces is prevented from escaping and may cause discoloration of carpet fibres Do not apply to hard surfaces, such as ceramic tile, hardwood, linoleum, vinyl flooring and marble Not suitable for use on rugs, loose fitting carpet tiles or worn carpets The product should be stored and used in ambient conditions, ideally at room temperature for 24 hours prior to installation.
