7971 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Introduction The Ultra High Frequency (UHF) 7971 Pendant Transmitter working on 458MHz is a discrete single button radio personal attack device. It is designed to be worn on a chain or carried on a key fob. The pendant transmitter can be configured to the IRIS 7256 Receiver and the 7703 Receiver. Tools & Test Equipment No special tools or test equipment are needed when adding the pendant transmitter. The receiver will require reprogramming therefore the engineering PIN must be known to the individual adding the transmitter when configuring to an IRIS 7256 receiver. Transmitter Operation When all transmitters have been added to the system they should be tested in their proposed final position. An alarm condition is achieved with a simple one button operation. Battery Replacement. Remove the screw adjacent to the necklet hole. Lift up and remove half of the case. Remove old batteries. Add two new 1/3 N Lithium Manganese (Li-Mn) cells, (Duracell number DL1/3N), ensuring the correct polarity as shown on the battery polarity label. Replace the case and screw together. After replacing the batteries, it is recommended that the device is tested to ensure the batteries have been inserted correctly and the device has been returned to a fully operational condition.
