The collection blades should be inspected frequently and cleaned regularly to prevent excessive accumulation that may result in an electrical flashover or a risk of fire. Do not operate the unit if the plug is damaged or appears damaged. Only qualified service personnel should ever replace or attempt to replace a damaged electrical plug. TROUBLESHOOTING Noise The unit may need to be cleaned more often if excessive hissing or “static” sounds are heard. Static may be caused by moisture. Some static or hissing sounds are normal. Wall Outlet If unit does not hold firmly to wall outlet, your electrical outlet may need servicing. Consult with a qualified electrician for assistance. Night Light If the night light does not illuminate, check power to the wall outlet. If power is okay, then internal protection fuse (non-replaceable) has blown and night light will not illuminate.
