LIMITED WARRANTY Total Air Guarantee (T.A.G.) Air Brake System Extended Warranty When a Bendix® AD-9®, AD-9si™, AD-IP®, AD-IS®, or AD-RP™ Air Dryer is installed as original equipment on a new vehicle, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC (“Bendix”) warrants to the original retail purchaser that all Bendix pneumatic air brake system components also installed as original equipment on the same vehicle, will be free from defects in material or workmanship for three (3) years or 350,000 miles (560,000 kilometers), whichever occurs first. This warranty is effective in the US and Canada and is limited to applications in the following types of operation: on-highway line haul trucks or tractors, interstate trucks, Pick-up & Delivery tractors and trucks, inter-city trucks, charter buses, interstate buses and school buses. High duty cycle and long compressor charge-time applications including, but are not limited to, transit buses, refuse haulers, dump trucks, cement mixers, off-highway operations, and bulk unloading are ineligible for this extended warranty. The above limited warranty does not apply to non-air brake devices, trailer components, indication and shutdown modules, friction materials, fan clutches or electronic treadles. The limited warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by abuse, misuse, road debris, accidents or improper installation, maintenance or service. Use of a non-genuine Bendix air dryer cartridge will void the air dryer warranty and the extended T.A.G. warranty on the other eligible Bendix pneumatic air brake system components. Product: Product claimed to be defective must be returned, freight prepaid, via the Original Equipment (OE) dealership or authorized Bendix distributor within thirty (30) days after the date any defect is first discovered. The claim for air brake system components will be allowed only with the inclusion of the T.A.G. serial number, located on the bottom of the air dryer. Unauthorized repairs will void this limited warranty. Bendix will inspect the product and make the final determination as to whether the product is covered under the terms of this limited warranty. When a claim is allowed, Bendix’ responsibility is limited at Bendix’ sole option, to repair or replace the defective product with a remanufactured exchange unit. The replacement unit will be warranted for the remaining time period or mileage of the original warranty. Labor: For the first twelve (12) months, 100,000 miles (160,000 kilometers), or 3,600 hours, whichever occurs first, Bendix will also allow its current labor rate applied to the standard hours allowed in Removal and Replacement Schedule (BW1322) when the defective product has been installed. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND IN NO EVENT WILL BENDIX COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SYSTEMS LLC BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO COSTS INCURRED FOR SERVICE CALLS, TOWING, OR DOWNTIME.
