 Trouble Shooting
y If the FANTEC QB-35US2 (4 HDDs installed) is connected to the
PC with eSATA cable and the PC does not recognize these
4 SATA HDDs, please check if the eSATA controller supports
Port Multiplier or update the eSATA driver version.
If the FANTEC QB-35US2 (4 HDDs installed) takes too long
to initial, please check if the HDD is securely installed or
update the eSATA driver version.
(94) If the transfer rate seems to be too low, please check if the SATA
HDD jumper is set up in 1.5 or 3.0 Gbps.
If there is noise with the fan, unscrew the fan, take out the
cover, clean the fan and assemble it back.
E If you forgot to attach the metal frame before you closed
the cover, simply press the down the rib as shown below.
The cover will slowly release and open outwards.
Please do not attempt to open the cover with something sharp.
D To take the HDD out from the device,
slightly press down the handle and pull it out.
STEP
USB port of your PC must support power-off function so that the
device would go to sleeping mode. Setting up motherboard's
( power management ) in 53 is strongly recommended. For more
details, please refer to user guide of motherboard BIOS setting.
Smart fan controlled by the built-in thermal sensor and it comes
with 2 modes (auto / manual) and 3 levels of speed:
Low below 45°C 1200rpm
Medium | 45°C~54°C 1800rpm
High higher than 55°C 2500rpm
4) Alternative the USB and eSATA interface can be connected
at 2 working PCs but only 1 interface can be used at one time.
You can switch between USB and eSATA by pressing the
INTERFACE button at the FANTEC QB35US2.
The interface selection is only for Macintosh to Macintosh or
Windows to Windows system.
Simply press the POWER button to power the device on and
press the button for 3 seconds to power off the device.

Quick Installation Guide
Please use the provided handles to secure
the 4 HDDs with screws.
D Press the circular deepening to open the cover.
D Take the transport paper board out of the device.
Press down the rib to detach the metal frame and remove it.
Slide 4 HDDs into the chassis and make sure they are securely
installed in order from up to down.
NOTE: Make sure the HDD1 is securely installed in slot 1. Otherwise the
PC may not recognize the device. The content of slot 2 - 4 may very.
Adjust the metal frame that was removed back to the chassis and
close the cover (based on how it was opened in Step C).
Connect the FANTEC QB-35US2 to the power supply, plug in
USB or eSATA cable in the rear panel and power on the device.
If the HDD is unformatted, you have to initialize it at your PC.
Please run the steps as followed: At first click “Start”, "Execute” at your
Windows based PC and key in “diskmgmt.msc”. After that please
press the "RETURN" key.

А Wenn das FANTEC QB-35US2 (4 HDD installiert) mit dem PC via
ESATA verbunden ist, aber nicht alle Festplatten erkannt werden,
prüfen Sie bitte, ober der eSATA Controller Port Multiplier
unterstützt oder aktuallisieren Sie die Treiber.
Wenn der Startvorgang des FANTEC QB-35US2 (4 HDD installiert)
Zu lange braucht, priifen Sie bitte, ob die Festplatten richtig
eingelegt sind oder aktuallisieren Sie die Treiber.
(69 Wenn die Transferrate via eSATA sehr niedrig erscheint, prüfen
Sie bitte, ob die Festplatte auf 1.5 oder 3.0 Gbps gejumpert ist.
Wenn der Lüfter zu laut wird, können Sie diesen an der Rückseite
demontieren, um ihn zu reinigen. Danach können Sie die den
Lüfter wieder einbauen und die Abdeckung schließen.
E wenn Sie vor dem Schlieñen der Frontabdeckung vergessen
haben die Metallverkleidung einzusetzen, driicken Sie einfach,
wie im Bild gezeigt, den unteren Hebel. Dadurch öffnet sich die
Frontabdeckung langsam nach vorne. Bitte versuchen Sie nicht
die Frontabdeckung mit einem scharfen Gegenstand zu öffnen.
Um die Festplatte aus dem Gerät zu entnehmen, drücken Sie den
Griff leicht nach unten und ziehen Sie die Festplatte heraus.
D Um die Abschaltfunktion (sleepeing mode) zu nutzen, muss der
USB Port Ihres PCs diesen Funktion auch unterstützen. Dazu
müssen Sie auf dem Mainboard das Power Management
entsprechen einstellen. Für weitere Informationen schlagen bitte
unter BIOS Einstelllungen im Handbuch Ihres Mainboards nach.
BD Der Lüfter wird durch einen Thermo-Sensor gesteuert und bietet
neben 2 Varianten (Auto / Manuell) auch 3 Drehzahleinstellungen :
Lansam | unter 45°C 1200 U/ min.
Mittel 45*C-54"C 1800 U/ min.
Schnell | warmer als 55°C 2500 U/ min.
Alternativ kann der USB und eSATA Port auch an 2 PCs gleichzeitig
angeschlossen werden. Es bleibt aber zu beachten, dass nur 1 Port
benutzt werden kann. Es besteht aber die Möglichkeit durch Drücken
der INTERFACE Taste des FANTEC QB-35US2 die Schnittstellen
zu wechslen. Der Schnittstellenwechsel ist nur bei MAC zu MAC oder
Windows zu Windows Systemen möglich.
Zum Einschalten reicht ein kurzes Drücken der POWER Taste, zum
Ausschalten muss diese Taste für 3 Sekunden gehalten werden.

Bitte befestigen Sie die mitgelieferten Griffe mittels
Schrauben an den 4 Festplatten.
BD Drücken Sie die kreisrunde Vertiefung, um das Gehäuse zu öffnen.
D Bitte entfernen Sie den Transportsicherungskarton.
Drücken Sie beide Hebel, damit Sie die Metallverkleidung
heraus nehmen können.
Schieben Sie bitte die 4 Festplatten in das Gehäuse und versichern
Sie sich, daß diese korrekt in der Reihenfolge von oben nach
unten installiert sind.
HINWEIS: In jedem Fall muss sich im obersten Schacht (HDD1) eine
Festplatte befinden, ansonsten erkennt der PC das Gerät nicht.
Der Inhalt der Einschübe 2-4 kann variieren.
Setzen Sie die Metallverkleidung zurüch in das Gehäuse und schließen
Sie die Frontabdeckung.
© Verbinden Sie das FANTEC QB-35US2 mit dem Netzteil, stecken Sie
das USB oder eSATA Kabel ein und schalten Sie das Gerät an.
Wenn Sie unformatierte Festplatten verwenden, müssen diese
zunächst initialisiert werden, Dazu führen Sie bitte “Start” und
“Ausführen” an Ihrem Windows PC aus und tippen Sie
“diskmgmt.msc”. ein. Danach drücken Sie die “ENTER” Taste.
