Just how do modulators
Multi-channel video modulators have
multiple audio and video inputs and one RF
output. A/V outputs on a DVD player, VCR
or satellite receiver are connected to the A/V
inputs on the modulator. The modulator is
then programmed to broadcast the signals
on a certain frequency. That RF broadcast is
then received by the connected TV. When the
TV is tuned to the programmed channel, the
A/V signal of the source device is accessed.
For example, the DBS satellite system is
programmed to broadcast on channel 11.
Turn the bedroom TV to channel 11 and
you’re watching what is being broadcast on
the DBS satellite system. Add Emitters and
Targets to control the devices, like the DVD
player or DBS satellite system, and you’re
good to go.
The diagram above shows one example of
how a modulator can work but everyone’s
home theater set-up is different. There
are many different ChannelPlus® products
